I'm looking for a car charger for my Galaxy S2.It would be very useful as it charges cellphone while I use it as a GPS device. I can also use it to charge it while someone else drives the car and I want to use your apps. Do you have some recomendations?
I would have recommended the
Arcadia Rapiduo, 10W 5V/2A Dual Port high-speed USB car charger w/ Free Full Speed Micro-USB Charging Cable (IMP80C)
Which i bought for £7 literally a few days ago (was on UKHotDeals), but it seems since to have gone back to £19.99, which i would not have gone near at that price, but read the reviews and see how you feel.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arcadia-hig...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1349956111&sr=1-1
I use the official car charger and have never had a problem. Drove a 300mile trip with copilot running and screen brightness at 100% and came out of the car with it fully charged, even though it was at 60% when I started the journey.

Forgot to say,
Previous I used to use my bros unofficial one (can't remember the make) and it would never keep the phone at a level % when using copilot with screen on full, it usually slowly went down.
I have always used those cheapo ones from eBay. They are like about $3 AUD, with a retractable cable. There are cheaper ones too.
I haven't used it for a long distance trip to share the experience, but I've use it when I use google navigation + bluetooth music playback.
It discharges more than it charges, but it's very negligible.
Having said that, I don't like drawing too much power from the car, so for me this charger is sufficient.
Hello,
I try to solve the dischage Problem for a long time. I can´t solve it.
This is what i have tryed:
1. Some USB Car Charger. Best i found was the Kensington Power Bold Dou with 5V and 2,1A.
2. You have to put the Data+ and Data- Lines in the USB Cable togehter. Than the S2 changes from USB Loading Mode with 500mA to Normal loading Mode with ... more.
After i did this its possible that the S2 can use GPS and other Apps without of loosing power. But it´s not enough to chage the phone while driving...
Greetings and sorry for my bad english
Hello everyone
at first I also tested a no-name product,
but the battery level sunk faster then it was filled up again.
Now i got the original Samsung car charger
and not longer problems with this.
Greetings
Been playing with the watch for about an hour.
First boot:
Needs Android Wear and Moto Connect apps.
Downloads an update.
Needs to be around 80% before it can be used because it needs that battery to install the update.
Android Wear is Android Wear so all the swipes needed to get to things are here.
Size : Not bad at all. I thought it would be bigger but its a nice size. It depends on wrist size of course.
Band : Didn't seem like it is easily replaced. But I don't know a ton about watches. It seems to connect into the watch somewhere, that might be something standard though. Didn't look in the manual to see if there were instructions. (Edit : Included manual doesn't say anything. Site - www.motorola.com/mymoto360 - doesn't seem to be up where there is supposed to be a full user manual)
Battery : Way too early to tell, some drain right up front but there is a lot going on with syncing and all. Need to look at some Android Wear info to see how to get notifications beyond email and Google Now.
Charger : Comes with cable connected to the adapter. (Not a USB cable + Adapter). Screen dims while on charger. Button brightens the screen. Would be nice to see notifications on the charge screen.

Can you flash a picture up of the charger and associated cable please. When looking at the image below it looks like a SB cable plugging into the charging cradle... if so then its a possible way to get fastboot connectivity, if not then I'm back to the drawing board (not that I can do much until late October anyways).

The connection on the base is MicroUSB. So a USB can connect to it. But the charger that comes with the Phone is all one piece (not a seperate AC Adapter and USB cable). It is outputting 5V at 550ma.

Gotcha, cheers. So looks like PC connectivity would go through the charging cradle. Curious to know if the inductive charging standard they adhere to allows data transfer as well... Motorola must have had some way to debug it when creating firmware etc.

Its a standard MisoUSB that connects to the dock though so just use a standard phone USB-to-MicroUSB cable to connect to PC.

Hmm, yeah I'm curious about that. I'm not really sure if there is way to transfer inductive data.

I think I remember reading a while ago that it was planned in other, less well known inductive charging standards, but I'm not sure if the current standard of Qi changing has it.

That would mean it would transfer data via bluetooth from the PC. I'm not seeing it connect like that. There would have to be another method.
Thanks for providing pictures and giving some insight for what to expect!
Could someone who has the watch please snap a pic of where the strap connects to the body?
I believe Qi does have data. But it is limited to 2kbps and is used for basic communication.

Does anyone know how the band actually comes off yet?
It seems like you would pop the back off somehow.
Actually seeing how the strap connects to the watch, and seeing exactly what the deal is with the metal straps, is like trying to solve a National mystery. I swear, the Illuminati are laughing at me, wringing their hands, and saying to themselves, "...And you will never know, DUSTY.".

There was a picture of the metal band and it looked like the connecter was non-standard. Like the end was a bit longer. Seems like they could have put some kind of door so you could switch out the bands easier. There has to be a way if they are going to have both leather and metal band versions. And in the Verge interview it seemed like they were planning on having options.
So far my only complaint is just with Android Wear. Like swiping away a gmail from the clock but then wanting to bring it up later. Seems like once it is swiped, that card is gone.

Dead Pixel
Drove all over North Atlanta and got the VERY LAST ONE with the Grey strap...everything seemed cool except for a DEAD PIXEL but I have my receipt and am hoping for an exchange whenever restock hits the stores.
One more thing to note...the device had like 35% charge which allowed me to pair to my Nexus 5 but then started displaying a charge battery notice.
I like the Motorola app that gives me a quick update on the current charge levels...connected to my Energizer QI pad so I think that I will just ditch the cradle charger that it came with unless I travel.

UPDATE: Figured that this may have been a crappy unit...the dead pixel is still there but I did a factory reset and it is downloading an update. When I unboxed and I first turned it on it seemed like it was having issues from the get go...now it seems to be running smooth like a champ albeit 1 bad pixel.

They all do that if not fully charged before turning on. You should be GTG now.
They should really mention the need to charge it before trying to set it up.

Sorry man and not to turn this into any tech support forum but just want to confirm that even if the battery got charged to like 65% there was no way to get past the "Charge your battery" screen unless it is either fully charged or charged to a certain capacity?
I did a factory reset and was able to get to the part where it downloaded an update again, rebooted and then immediately came up to that screen which can't be dismissed. The unit is pretty warm so I have placed it on the dock and will check every hour to see how if fairs...just frustrating that it couldn't even start. I am contemplating getting a refund and seeing how others react to everyday usage. I say this based on the fact that you go to the Moto 360 support site and it doesnt have anything under Help Topics...even after you login with a G+ acct or a Motorola acct.
I understand that statistically 1 out of every 100,000 may be the defect and if that is the case then it is what it is...was really hoping to test out a physical watch finally for an app instead of an emulator.

And BTW thank you very much for your help! Patience will be a virtue in this case.
Never used one before...anyone have any experience with the magnetic chargers such as Znaps? Curious if they're even worth it for protecting the seemingly always delicate phone charging ports. Let me know y'alls opinions and if you have any recommended ones or not, please. Thanks.
I have a couple that are micro USB and they worked great on my V10.
I wished they had USB-C for the V20. Had to buy several Anker USB-C to Micro USB adapters...kind of defeats the purpose though.
Here is a photo taken with the LG V20 of the Wisken Magnetic Cable with the Anker adapter

The adapter doesn't look like it lays flat like the picture implies...you have links to buy them?
Does this adapter support data transfer and fast charging?
EDIT: nevermind...I get it...didnt realize it was the same person posting the pic, lol.

Found 'em!
I went into my FireFox history because I found them a couple of weeks ago.
ASAP x-connect Indiegogo, USB-C cable(and micro USB and Lightning)
ASAP Connect Indiegogo, V1(micro USB and Lightning)
I hd a few of those shown in post 3, gave them away, but somehow I found 4 extra magnetic tips, also have this one,
I was originally backer on the Znaps (which was truly the first one I saw doing it)
Then they scrapped the micro usb and released only lightning adapter and then scrapped USB C so I backed out.
https://znaps.net/
Problem with znaps, they are too expensive, for the price of snaps you can get the 5 of the chinese one's, even the znaps is made in china.
but if you do use a case, these won't work out, they wont fit, you have to remove the case to charge.

Wait? Why are you looking for wireless charging pads for a phone that doesn't have wireless charging?
A50 does not support wireless charging. You need a glass back for wireless charging to be possible. The A50 has a plastic back.

Not quite right. It just can't be metal. Plastic works for wireless charging, but the A50 doesn't have wireless charging built in. (You need a charging coil for that.)
There are charging coils you can connect to the charging port to add wireless charging to a phone. I suppose the original question is if anyone knows of any of these that work with the A50.
Here's an example: Link (Don't know if this works with A50 by the way.)
Yeah I've seen those before, been thinking about getting one myself but I'd probably just break it lol, plus I'd like to take my case of now n then
---------- Post added at 10:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 PM ----------
No reason why it wouldn't work though... Unless you had a metal case... Which you most likely don't, but plastic is finee for wireless charging.

If you have never added wireless charging to a phone, thats OK, especially if you are new.
If you read that I looking for a combo that worked, it might become apparent that there is something going here you might not now about.
Laughing at me because because I was short and to the point, doesn't really help. Nor liking your own post too..
So its quite possible to add charging to this phone. Any phone. You add a coil with your charge socket type, and add it to your device. Place on a charge pad, and you are away.
Just so you know...

Also, if you read my other comment you'll see that I was aware you can do this and have thought about in the past ?
It just wasn't clear what you were saying that's all; sorry for miss understanding you ??
This guy liked it, not me ?
This one seems like a good option, it allows you to charge it wired without having to take out the wireless charging coil's cable, andd the charger is magnetic, however this also means it is not usb c and your existing usb c chargers won't work unless you unplug the wireless charging coil. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MLRD1TD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zMeEDbG6PW858
Hi,
recently i bought Redmi Note 9 Pro ( indian ver ).
after while its come to disconnected when i charge in rapidly mod ( 33watt )
0% -40% there is no problem, when charging from 40%-55% it gets disconnected. after that when plugged it again it charges normally
i have changed my cable with normal (18 watt ) it doesn't disconnect
but when i change cable with same as orginal ( for charge with 33watt ) and its continue to disconnect
any problem reported related to this ? any solution ?
I don't think it is because of faulty port, nor a faulty cable. Lastly, this usually happens only when the battery is from 40%-55℅. Could it be a software problem? Any reply is appreciated!
OS - MIUI 11.0.4
I have done the basic trouble shooting like hard reset and recalibrated the battery also.
tnq for helping

It is a hardware related issue, there is nothing much to do about it.
Same problem here! (Redmi Note 9 Pro Global version)
i also facing this issue, any solution for this?
Exactly the same issue.
Workaround would be to charge phone in switched off state.
It worked for me and charger the didnt keep connecting and disconnecting.
Do a power cycle
I had the same issue. I did complete power cycle.
Drained my battery to 0% then charged it upto 100% using turbo charge the whole time didn't saw the issue happening anymore.
Will update here if I see the issue any further.
If it happens then service center is the only option
