Can't connect to 2.4Ghz wifi with disabled SSID - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I've never broadcast my SSID and yesterday my OP3 suddenly lost connection to my 2.4Ghz wifi. When I broadcast the ssid, its able to connected but if I turn off the broadcast, it looses connection and is not able to reconnect. This is not the cast with my 5Ghz wifi where its able to connect even with the ssid broadcast turned off. Anyone else experience this?

Random wifi problems

I have tried many of the ROM's here and I have noticed a
problem they have in common My network uses WPA-psk tkip usually when connected, the internet will work fine for a
few minutes, (generally 10-15 minutes), the connection will
just stop working, it will still be connected to the wifi
network but I cant load any web pages or send any pings the only way to fix it is to either try to connect to a different
network then connect back to my network, or turn the wifi
off then back on. My router is a linksys wrt54GL running tomato I also tried connecting to my actiontec router, and my
netgear router and the same problem happened on all of
them My hp ipaq rx3115 running windows mobile 2003 does not
have this problem. my signal strength is good. (generally around -20 to -30
dbm ) on some of the threads, I herd about a wifi patch but I
never see any links to it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Problem with WIFI

I have a problem with my wifi, at work I connect to a Addon wireless router and most of the time it works ok.
But at the moment I'm having a problem where the phone finds the network, says remembered, secured with wpa/wpa2 psk, then it suddenly drops to not in range and my wifi status is 'disconnected'
It continously is doing this at the moment and just wont connect, the WPA key is correct for it as I have connected fine to the router before.

is the signal weak? i.e are you far from the wireless router?
Im sitting next to router and the signal is Excellent
Is there anything on the router that could be blocking my phone from connecting?
yes if someone has setup mac address filtering
Mac restrict mode = disabled
i have a router that every 3months or so i have to reboot!
i see it in the wifi available list but it won't connect
turn off and back on and hey presto.

could try a reboot on phone too

[Q] Connecting to Wifi - Not Broadcasting

Must the router be broadcasting in order for the SGN to connect? I've always been able to setup without broadcasting the router for all to see, however I turned off wifi boradcasting and ICS cannot connect to the router, but will automatically connect if I'm broadcasting. I prefer to not broadcast my router despite having security encryption on, so am I missing a setting or something on the SGN, or is this the only way for wifi to work properly.

Keep losing WiFi connections after enabling ssid broadcast on the router.

I think it is a bug.
I had a similar issue. If you know how to, try seeing up a reservation for your phone on the router and setting your WiFi settings on the phone manually.
