No need to spam like 5 threads here dude... And no, it's almost certainly a hardware issue. So buy a new phone, find an expensive replacement screen somewhere, or send to lg repair center

So I slipped and fell with my phone in my pocket and now when I'm on my phone doing something with a white screen (ie. texting) I see a blue cloud across parts of the screen. Is there anyway to fix this?
PS - I have a tmo tp2.
Thanks!
Anyone have any advice on this? Thanks in advance..
Get a new screen, sorry to say it like that.
If your LCD is cracked it needs to be replaced.
Somethings obviously messed up with the LCD, friend pushed too hard on his screen and it made it splotchy like that.
Screen is not cracked. Just on parts of the screen the whites show blue instead. Is there anyway to fix this?
Ok here is a picture of my problem. It doesn't seem to affect use of the touch screen at all, however I do find it bothersome... Hopefully you guys can see the blue dots in the upper left of the picture and are able to tell me what the F it is!
Sounds like "stuck pixels" to me. For whatever reason, the blue pixels won't turn off. I think I remember seeing somewhere a program that attempts to fix it by rapidly turning the pixels on and off. Maybe someone knows the name, or you can google/bing it.
Surely more ppl have experienced this before!! Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I got a guy that specializes in fixing smart phones. I'll ask him about fixing the TP2 screen tomorrow.
If you can see any visual problems when the phone is off, like shading that corresponds to the cloudy part, then the screen is physically damaged.

There are no marks that correspond to the blue dots when the phone is off..
bump.........
Guys, over the past few days I have noticed at the foot of the screen in the centre there is a yellow line (approx 1 to 2mm thickness) appearing which looks very much like screen burn.
It can only be seen when a lighter colour is present but it is there no matter what you are looking at.
When watching movies it is horrendous as your eyes are constantly drawn to the yellow thick line.
Question being has anyone else noticed this?
Sounds like a faulty panel to me

That's what I am thinking but before I contact Clove tomorrow it would be interesting to hear if this is an isolated case?

Impossible to see if you do a screen grab. The grab would not show the screen burn.
The only way to do it is to take a photo of the G3's screen and I don't have another camera at hand with me this weekend.
Dead pixel maybe

No, it's nothing like a dead pixel.
It's more like a yellow stain that progressively gets darker the longer the screen is left on.
I contacted Clove who would send it back to LG for them to look at.
In the meantime if I change the Home a Touch Buttons to Black it covers up the Yellow stain whenever a screen uses the touch buttons.
It's when you are either looking at photos, watching movies or playing games where you don't have touch buttons displayed that you see it.

I have had this on devices in the past, its certainly a faulty screen.
Yes, I definitely agree on that.
Okay I should return it for repair but I would find it murder to be without the phone.
So far it is limited to the area of the touch buttons and like I mention if I change to black you then don't see it a lot of the time.
I'm seeing if I can live with it..........

Just as a warning, when I have had this on devices in the past it is something that gets worse over time, the yellow area will spread, its probably worthwhile getting it fixed now to avoid having it become a bigger problem in the future.
Have you spoke to clove yet? Surely they might just swap it out rather than force you to get a repair?

Yes I spoke with Clove and was quite surprised they would send it back for repair.
At the time I had had the G3 for 18 days.
As such seeing as being without the phone is going to be a nightmare and it's not spreading or getting worse for the time being, I'm mulling over my options.
Fortunately money is not a problem. If it gets that bad I would rather buy another and set up the new G3 in the presence of the faulty G3 then either give the faulty one away to a member of the family which I do with all of my phones and let them decide what to do....
I have the exact same problem. Found this thread googling for it. It's almost right in the bottom center. Looks yellowish and it's driving me nuts. I'll probably hold off exchanging for a while since I cannot afford to go without a phone and have no way to backup everything until someone unlocks the boot loader.

Well, if it's any help to you all I can tell you is it doesn't appear to get any worse.
Yes it's there and more prominant when it gets hotter but it doesn't appear to be spreading or going darker.
At the moment I am still living with it.

Take it to a service center to get it looked at

Sounds like a damaged LCD...unfortunately. If you have insurance its probably time to use it. If you don't, then look into the cost of a replacement front assembly(should be @$80-90us) to repair it yourself. It's an easy fix though...just a lil pricey.
I have insurance but here in my country i don't think it's a good idea going there, and i'm afraid they make it worse...
The blue spot only appears on black, so if you're sure it's a damaged LCD and not a software stuff nor hot related i shall take the phone to them to check it out. That's the best i can do
I mean what makes a damaged screen? The phone didn't fall or anything the spot just happend >_< is it wrong manufacturing by LG?? Sorry but it's driving me crazy

It could be anything really... It could be a manufacturing defect that just showed up now over time, it could be heavy use causing high heat and the processor burned your LCD, it could be a hard thumb or fingerprint that compressed the LCD, etc.; many possibilities.
Check this reddit thread because you're not alone... https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/2qfzz9/lg_g3_screen_burnpurple_smudge/
It seems like the most common solution was to get a replacement.
If your curiosity is really driving you crazy try posting a pic so xda'ers can see what and where it is. Someone may be able to diagnose it for you or at least give you an educated guess as to what happened.
i added some pics above ^ hope they help
I also have a faint blue spot on my screen, but it's only visible on white backgrounds. Not worth sending it in for.

Mine only appears on black.. It's not affecting much, but i still think it should be fixed as quickly as possible.
I bought this LG g3 t mobile 3 days earlier and I notice something on the screen today. I can send it back to seller but if you guys say to me it's not big problem I am not going to send it. Because I have no other phone and I am pretty much have no communication while I am waiting.
So the white mark on the screen is it going to get bigger or just stay that way? Thank you.

Is there anyone?
like a bright white spot?
Well about a month ago my brother bought a Lenovo p2 from a retail shop in dubai. There was a clearance sale and only Lenovo p2 that was left was a display unit. They were selling it at half the price. The phone was new and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Upon checking my brother noticed a Lenovo vibe watermark on the screen but he thought it was on the screen protector. Well he gave it to me as my lg g2 screen was broken. I too thought that it was on the screen protector but yesterday i removed the protector and the watermark was still there. Its every where, on the boot screen also. Obviously its embedded in the screen. Well its a silly question to ask but is there any way to get rid of it. You can see it in the photo attached.
You'll have to get the glass replaced. May be simple if it's not bonded to the LCD panel.
I think the watermark must be on the front glass, it couldn't be on the lcd panel. But replacing the glass alone is very risky and i ain't good with the hardware nor I have required tools.
Can you see it if the screen is off, too?
Perhaps it's a screen burn in issue...

No the watermark is invisible when the scren is off also you cannot see it on darker backgrounds. It is visible on light background. Its there always obviously but you cannot see it on darker background. I think this shows perhaps the watermark is burnt on the LCD panel.

So you have two options
1. Return the device to the store and ask for refund or repair
2. Replace the screen at your own cost (thus negating any saving you made on buying an ex-display device)
For me 1. is the way to go.

I dont think option 1 will work. I'll have to do the bargain on my own. Thanks for your reply
