performance of honor 5c is much better compared to honor 5x, its not snapdragon, just the clock speed, cores and optimisation that matters, kirin is powerful as snapdragon,in some cases even more powerful #mate9.
the only let down is developer support

we only need 4 cores, 8, 10 is wasted as no apps use that many or are optimized to. maybe in a few years

i didnt mention about the number of cores. there are many other things like the platform, architecture, and why should we stick with 4 cores if a kernel can intelligently use 8 cores based on the usage????

i get advancing technology etc, but there is no point in phones having 10 cores in the helio's as they still cant catch up to snapdragon 8xx's overall performance. they are slowly catching up tho and do they really save that much battery life by switching between cores?
But latest kirin is better than the latest SD 821 series(mate 9 vs the Google pixel) check performance review on Xda... battery, performance everything much better than SD 82x series.

The kirin beats it in geekbench scores but SD beats kirin in antutu. The gpu isn't great in the kirin either
For my part I bought this phone about one month and a half ago, I came from a Wiko Wax 4G I bought two years ago at 180€ (approximately the same price as the Honor 5C nowadays) and I'm very happy of this new phone.
The screen is great, without being incredible, the fact it's a 1080p screen is a really good point too. Also, it's maybe the fastest phone for this price range. That being said, I don't know US-specific devices, I leave in french so I only know french devices but for that I've seen that's the best you can find under 200$.

Would you say that the OnePlus 3T is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the OnePlus 3T exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
This phone is super fast. My first OnePlus. They fingerprint is so much faster than my s7. I just touch it and it unlocks. My brother in law who has a nexus 6p is very jealous
it's insanely fast.
im still amazed
How is the screen latency touch response compared to the s7 edge or iPhone 6s?

I was wondering, since I didn't find anything about it on Google, if the phone automatically wakes when you press the fingerprint scanner. Do you have to turn the phone on with the power button before you can unlock it with the fingerprint, or does it automaticcaly turn on and unlock when you tap the sensor?
Yes, it does !

Did you use compression and encryption in TWRP? My 10 G backup went down to 5.x with compression. Encryption didn't take significantly longer.

is compression faster due to size or slower cause of compressing the stuff?

The phone is so fast, that CPU is negligible (compared to I/O) so I think it's quite a bit quicker. (%25-30% perhaps).
Very fast, Ran Antutu and get the highest score for all the andriod phone. But still cannot beat Iphone 7!!!!
I'm itching to buy this phone! However, can this handle Dawn of Titans, CSR2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Vainglory with ease? I mean no lags/delay, no frame drops?

Mine only scores about 7000 less than the Iphone 7. For a 439$ phone, I call that impressive
It has the latest quad-core Kryo processor, of course it will be very fast.
I'm getting so close to beating the IP7 lol, imagine what this thing can do while overclocked, I'm running OOS 4 so I'll have to wait for those sources to be released before I can OC it

Can somebody check the performance of One Plus 3T in UXbench app that is available on playstore for free with no ads and is developed by me?
If you like please post your results inside the app or post them here. I would like to see how One Plus 3T compares with other top devices (according to my app).
For now the fastest (my app results) are Huawei Mate 9, Huawei P9 ,Xiaomi Mi5s and S7 Edge Exynos as you can see in the compare tab inside app.
I woul appreciate if someone try the app and let us know the device performance in terms of cpu and io performance.
Pesonally i expect a score over 170000.
Please note that scores shown in the comparison area inside the app are the best runs per device until now. I have seen differences in devices with the same SoC because of different software.
Also note that the app tests only CPU , RAM and IO performance.
The test is quick to complete it takes about 1-2 minutes.
I'm thinking of getting a new phone and the two most appealing to me are the Zenfone 6 and the OnePlus 7 (non Pro). In the UK they're the same price for the same specs, so I'm left to decide on other features.
The Pros I can think of for the OP7 are:
OIS Camera
OLED Screen
Some Waterproofing
In display fingerprint scanner
No moving parts so greater durability
And the Pros for the Zenfone 6:
Wide angle camera
No Notch
Headphone Jack
Customisable Button
5000mAh Battery
Micro SD Card Slot and Dual SIMs
From these lists I can't decide completely on one or the other, does anyone have any thoughts as to which one would be better?
I'm completely lost too...
I too am torn!!
I've got the Mi 9 and feeling a restless....
I would say: go for the OnePlus if you are keen on the OLED, choose the Asus if you want the rest.
(Btw: you missed the dual sim card slot the sd card slots)
I'm going with the Zenfone 6. The bigger battery and flip camera alone have me sold.

In display fpr may feel futuristic and cool to play with bu a regular capacitive fpr is much more functional and faster, in other words better in the long term everyday usage. It's definitely a win for the Zenfone 6 in my opinion.

Exactly. Two idfp sensors I tried drove me crazy w inaccuracy, then u add bit dirtier hands or naturally greasy fingers and u can f*** yourself rather than unlock your phone.
That's why I'm looking into Asus Zenfone 6 or LG G8 and nothing else.
I have exactly the same dilemma...
I'm about to order it from China anyway so ... no warranty...
Kind of afraid after reading about the Zenfone here (Some people have problems with camera mechanism, some with screen on low brightness)

Could be spotty QC in the beginning for Asus. I suppose that flipping camera isn't the easiest to make.
Mine is fine though and I didnt notice flickering on low brightness so far.

How is this a pro??? More like a Huge step back..
Not forgetting Asus Zenfone 6's 4k 60fps video recording for both rear and front camera! You get natural bokeh (video too) from the camera itself, not those artificial blurring!
And the EIS seems to be better when comparing to OP7 Pro's OIS, although the video seems cropped.
I will give this to OnePlus 7,
Cons:
Headphone jack and waterdrop notch(not a con for me)
Pros:
Amoled,
usb 3.1,
ufs 3.0, fantastic camera(no ultrawide though, but how much u use it?),
OxygenOs,
amazing community support (when other phones will be struggling in fixing motorized camera. Op7 will be rocking a lineage/carbon/rr/aosip/pixel exp)
Guaranteed two major os upgrades. Android Q R S or whatever,
Stereo speakers,
Last but not least Highest benchmarks in Antutu, 3dmark, geekbench.
Zenfone might be good but it will need atleast 2-3 years in order to compete with Oneplus as they are trying what OnePlus has already achieved.
Actually community support for 7 is lackluster compared to pro model.

Excuse me gentlemen, my name is bee101 and I manage to get my hands on a S20, that being said my S20 is blowing the competition away on top two speed test apks from Google playstore. Such as GeekBench5 and 3D Mark. I have screen shots but I can not post, I guess being new and all. But so far I have no complaints except for one. Without a case, it is hard to watch anything for any length of time without accidentally touching the screen and backing up of going forward whatever you are watching. The touch screen curve down on the sides and if you touch that while watching a movie, bam, back to almost the beginning or end depending on where you touched. So a case is almost necessary.

It s funny - first time i ran Geekbench when the phone was fresh out of the box in got similar scores...939 single core and 2850ish multicore. Also androbench reported a much higher than now (after a week) 1750mb seq read...and now it fluctuates very much ...anywhere from 1.4gb seq read to 1.65...and geekbench without freezing hovers around 899 single and 2700-2800 multi. Can you please do 5 geekbench tests back to back and post the lowest score? I m curious how the thermals hold up on the slightly larger copper vapor chamber the S20 Ultra has. Thanks

Sorry state of affairs with antutu! Couldn't find it on playstore, so downloaded from galaxy apps (along with 3Dbench), but even after repeated attempts couldn't run the test, so I gave up. It kept on redirecting to playstore (to download some plugin) which showed that the page/app doesn't exist anymore, lol!

Hey, guys!
I'm about to make a big purchase decision (yes, I call buying a phone under $450 a big decision!). After some research, my choices were filtered to these two devices as they offer the best value for money. If you were in my situation, which one would you choose and why? are there any options to consider?
P.S: If this post is redundant or exists somewhere else on the forum, please point me to that discussion. Thanks!
Depending on your needs. Note 10 has a better camera. Poco f3 has the better chip. The pictures from Poco are fine and the Mediathek is not bad.
As someone who had both you can't go wrong with either.
Decided to go with the F3 in my case.
The F3 is faster, you can even feel it in the UI but it isn't to say the Note 10 pro is bad but you do feel the difference, no way around it.
If you're sensitive to some random stutters or plan on any gaming be sure to get the F3 as the note 10 pro can't game very well (gets hot and throttle) while the F3 is a champ in the performance category.
The camera in the note 10 pro is better but I didn't notice a night and day difference between them.
The F3 camera is what I'll call average, there are better out there but if the lighting's good both will do great, the main difference is at night but because the note 10 pro doesn't have OIS don't expect it to be flagship level.
To conclude, in my opinion, the difference in camera's between the 2 isn't anything major but the difference in performance is so I believe the F3 is the better choice.

Yes, I agree fully.
However, there's some upsides from using Redmi Note 10 Pro (I had both too at one point)
- More custom roms (if you're into that)
- Headphone jack
- It's just as fast (if you're using a custom rom and not playing games)
- I think also better battery life but I might be wrong
- The colorways are better imo
The upsides of Poco F3
- Wayyy better build quality (except the speaker grills and charging port - they're kinda sharp tbh)
- Audio quality is somehow way better with the Poco even though you'll have to use the adapter for headphones. Another thing to mention is I think the adaptor itself is proprietary since I couldn't use it on other devices.
- Better speaker quality
- Better screen
- Wayyyy faster storage speed
- It's gonna last way longer due to the chipset
- Accessories and skins are way easier to find
What's good on both phones
- Both look good
- 120hz screens
- Active community development
- Not hard to service
- Noob friendly
I too had this doubt in August .
The F3 overall has the best spec sheet. It costs a little more but lasts longer. (I'm biased! Satisfied owner of F3)

Poco F3 is far better than Redmi Note 10 Pro in all aspects as I compared the specs and Poco F3 has every new spec. The only thing is Note 10 Pro has a large battery than Poco F3 but the snapdragon 870 will enhance the battery life in Poco F3 by giving good performance.

Yes, I notice from my research that the RN10 Pro enjoys the availability of more roms. However, if we consider only the most famous roms, like LineageOS and ArrowOS, they are equally loved and supported.
From your thoroughly helpful response, the Poco F3 three is clearly superior. And since the difference is that significant (fast storage, longevity, sound qality...etc as you said) I think I'm more confident in my preference of the F3.
Again, your response was extremely helpful to me because it highlighted those subtle areas, which are usually mentioned with some assumption that everyone will understand their meaning.
Thanks a lot, sir!

I too had this doubt in August .
The F3 overall has the best spec sheet. It costs a little more but lasts longer. (I'm biased! Satisfied owner of F3)

I think you have the right to be biased now that I understood their differences better!
I own both (Aliothin and sweetin)
Pros of Aliothin (Mi 11x or Poco f3 in EU)
1. Faster performance.
2. Premium looking back compared to Note 10 pro
3. 5G capable
Pros of Sweetin (Note 10 pro India)
1. Better camera (64MP Samsung Sensor is better than 48MP one in F3 especially in low light, 108MP global version is also really good)
2. Headphone Jack
3. Super Macro lens vs Just Macro in F3.
4. Better Battery life (5000 vs 4520 if I am not wrong)
Get F3 if you are willing to keep your phone for 4 or so years and Note 10 pro if you change every 2 years. sd732G is a aging chip, sd870 is blistering fast.
F3 has 5G which means you can enjoy faster network when it available.
That is the main reason I put another $100 for my phone (I don't spend much for phone generally).
This is the best value phone I found with both 5G and Snapdragon. Though I must admitted that 870G is overkill for my need, I never play games on mobile. I could trade it for better battery. But I was very tempted with a premium cpu.
