Anyone else get the AT&T update?

My phone just got a notification that it was downloading a software update from AT&T. It then asked me to restart and now it's 50% done updating.
Just wondering what the update does? Anyone know?

Same here. Have no idea what it is. I'm coming up empty on Google too.

Yup, installed earlier, only thing I have noticed is the stagefright fix.

178 apps were "optimized" on restart. Can't see or feel anything different.

Apps are always optimized after an update.

The apps that are impacted by the update are. 178's a pretty low number but the update was only 80(ish)MB. Going from 4.X to 5.X my Note 12 optimized 600+ apps on restart. Services are considered apps too. Right after I rebooted Play Services updated itself too. To 8.1.15.

It's an app, here is what you would have seen before the update

Got mine too. Updated and poked around the settings and features to see if Samsung added anything that they removed from the Note 4. Nothing so far.
I also checked to see if the aggressive task killing stopped. I'm getting a consistent 6 apps staying loaded after some tests, previously it was four or five depending on whats open. Anyone else notice this?

I just updated and Googled idk.

There's a thread in the general section. Looks like the update fixed the wireless charging issue many of us were having as well as improving performance a bit.

Anyone get weird graphical glitches in Gmail app?

Attached a screenshot. This has been happening for a couple months now, maybe a bit longer.
I don't think it's a hardware issue as it really only happens in the Gmail app. Also, not sure it would be captured via screenshot if it was some kind of loose connection.
Doesn't happen anywhere else that I can think of off hand. Lasts for about a second then clears up on its own.
It has persisted over a couple builds at least. Some from clean installs as well. I root the phone straight away, so next time I'll try stock for a bit to rule any of that out.
Hoping it's not just me.

Those occur for me as well, that's why inbox is my choice of app

I was getting to. I sideloaded the march ota yesterday (that has the performance fixes) and it is no longer occuring. Not sure if the two are related, but that is the only change thing that has changed for me. Was definitely annoying..

Had the same on 6.0.1, moved to android N and t desapired

unfortunately only with Android N the problem goes away, with MHC19J is still present

Glad I'm not the only one and my device isn't defective. It's a minor annoyance knowing that now.

Happening to me as well, on stock. Haven't gotten the March ota yet.

Weird. Definitely gone for me after applying the March ota. Did you wipe the cache partition after applying the update? I always do after any update.

If you have not yet seen the glitching on the MHC19J, not try to reproduce it with open/close Gmail, closing all recent apps and re-open Gmail... because you could have a nasty surprise

Not for me. I had no Google Play Certificate. No work arounds worked. It could be geographic. I am in Ireland.

It has been a no go for me from day one with global rom and china rom with every update. Could not set up GPay with bootloader locked.
Updated today and set up GPay in minutes. In Ireland no Google Play Certificate no NFC payments. Security.

WhatsApp notifications working?

Weird since my antutu benchmark dipped down to 370k. Not to mention having this issue with charging where it shows it is actually discharging. Temporary fix is to charge it while the phone is off.

Hello, I found the solution in another post. As I am new I cannot put links so I will literally put what is written in the post:
I downloaded this application from playstore: NotifiCon
With this app I was able to make the sound of whatsapp notifications and all the others work
You can manage them however you want
Remember to move all the apps that interest you from 'Autostart Whitelist' to 'Autostart Apps'. You can do this in the App Security.

Yeah have some charging issues after the update.

Lenovo pushed a beta 247 version which apparently addresses the charging issues.

Wallpapers doesnt work

It's more laggy now.

I'm currently using the eu rom, is the image already available to download? (the global one I mean).

I got the same update for the standard global rom earlier (UK). Took about 7 min to install after the download. It’s early days, but double tap is better and the proximity sensor/call issue seems to be fixed for me.
It enabled a "super" wallpaper and reset the lock screen clock design, but everything else seems OK so far. No slowdown for me.

Nothing is wrong with the battery after the update, mate. It is just that you're using the phone more often after the update that's why.

I switched to 12.5.1 because of the battery life on this build.It is just bad.

after update 12.5.1 i get deng sound when haptic feedback on . any help my friends ?

and also the front camera in low light sucks now.
I have also noticed few issues at the control center

do you guys have the videotools box disappear? ?
Now on my youtube, it does not show the side videotools, complete gone

For me it seems to be working as before, does anyone have an extended changelog? the one from MIUI is... well... not too great.

My wireless buds sound louder at the same level of volume I used before the update. About the quality of the sound I can not say is better.....looks same to me.

It feels much smoother after the update, notifications for music bug from time to time and can't be cleared but it feels great otherwise. Haven't found any other problems.

Screen brightness is still "dimmer" until almost 80% of the slider???
I notice this in official ROMs and also with custom ROMs.
Is it a hardware "feature" or a screen driver bug?

Question 2451 A.22 update in Oxygen Updater

I just noticed Oxygen Updater had an update to A.22 for my op11 na(2451). When I goto the normal update in my phone it says it is up to date with A.10. Anyone have any info on A.22?

Oxygen Updater is a third party app and it captures updates from other users which enables faster updates for those who didn't receive updates yet.

I am aware of that. Just hadn't heard anyone bring it up yet. I was asking more or less if it was a legit update. I installed it. Going to wait a few days before I say it has fixed anything but so far so good.

All updates are digitally signed. The only risk is that Oxygen Updater might push a beta update as stable.

When you have recents open you can swipe between app screens but not click icons at bottom of recents. When you click an icon on recents, recents will crash.
All other bugs still present. I see no fixes or any improvements.

What icons? I tried clicking icons above clear all and it worked fine for me!

I've figured that happens when you use a custom launcher. If you go back to the stock Launcher and then back to your custom launcher it will work for just a while. It could be that particular stock launcher function is not sticking to memory.
