Wallpapers doesnt work

It's more laggy now.

I'm currently using the eu rom, is the image already available to download? (the global one I mean).

I got the same update for the standard global rom earlier (UK). Took about 7 min to install after the download. It’s early days, but double tap is better and the proximity sensor/call issue seems to be fixed for me.
It enabled a "super" wallpaper and reset the lock screen clock design, but everything else seems OK so far. No slowdown for me.

oh my, my battery is like a timed bomb. what the f word is wrong with this update.

Nothing is wrong with the battery after the update, mate. It is just that you're using the phone more often after the update that's why.

I switched to 12.5.1 because of the battery life on this build.It is just bad.

after update 12.5.1 i get deng sound when haptic feedback on . any help my friends ?

Anyone noticed a difference in volume after the update, I felt it is a little better before the update

wait, I felt like it was louder before the update.
and also the front camera in low light sucks now.
I have also noticed few issues at the control center

do you guys have the videotools box disappear? ?
Now on my youtube, it does not show the side videotools, complete gone

For me it seems to be working as before, does anyone have an extended changelog? the one from MIUI is... well... not too great.

My wireless buds sound louder at the same level of volume I used before the update. About the quality of the sound I can not say is better.....looks same to me.

It feels much smoother after the update, notifications for music bug from time to time and can't be cleared but it feels great otherwise. Haven't found any other problems.

Screen brightness is still "dimmer" until almost 80% of the slider???
I notice this in official ROMs and also with custom ROMs.
Is it a hardware "feature" or a screen driver bug?

Hmmm yeah, I have done that a few times but I stopped because I was a bit shocked at how much moisture got on the screen. Is it a ROM problem?

Yeah mate, you could always try and reset it to stock with a new KDZ flash. It may get a bit technical but over on the G3 General page there is a good guide for it. Just make sure you back up everything, contacts, messages, apps, data, photos, music, downloads.. ect to your computer or copy all that stuff to your external SD card, or you will loose it. Also make sure you are flashing the KDZ for your model, never flash one that is for a different model or you will have serious problems.
Chuck a search in google for your model number and something like " Stock factory flash " or something along those lines, then find the corresponding XDA thread for it. Hopefully that might fix your problem. If it doesn't your options are to order a new camera part from a supplier and replace it yourself, or send it in to LG and have them fix it.
Just curious, have you tried another camera app from PlayStore, just to see what it does?

How is nougat?

I was wondering if someone who updated to nougat can make a mini-review. How is the battery, the performance, are the bugs fixed? I want to update, but if it's not better than mm, i'll just install a custom software.
It's been fine for me. Twitter didn't work at first but seemed to have fixed itself without even rebooting it. I'd heard many other people have trouble with apps not working but most of them said it was fixed after rebooting. It really depends on luck tbh. Some people are having loads of trouble while others like myself thankfully have no problems.
I think this won't be the final version of Nougat by Lenovo given it's only 7.0 and it arrived earlier than the date they announced.

but benchmarks seems to have improved

Yeah everyone's CPU usage seems to have a high percentage for some reason. I haven't noticed any difference in battery life really so it could just be a glitch. Does a factory reset fix it?

My compass is working fine. Have you cleared the apps cache and data and allowed location in the apps permissions. Do this via the app manager/the app you want/storage(for cache and data) or permissions (for what the app is allowed to use).
Edit, Sorry just noticed you are a experienced member so ignore my comment on how to fix the problem as you would have already tried this.
quiet, do not worry. I finally just restarted, and the compass libraries have started to work again. thanks anyway

Pixel XL 8.0 Oreo Call Volume

So last night I installed Oreo from the official google release. https://developer.android.com/about/versions/oreo/index.html
Today I'm struggling to hear phone calls from the actual phone (as in the other person talking on the phone). I haven't tried earbuds or anything else yet. The ringtone and notification volumes seem a little weaker than the 7.1.1 stock I was running. Everything is at Max...
Has anyone else witnessed this issue, or is losing your hearing another post-eclipse side effect?
Strange, I haven't noticed this. I took the OTA
huh....seems same if not louder to me actually.
i installed manually with the image and no sound issues
Yep I have stopped bothering to mention these because my expectations have become incredibly lower from these so called upgrades, but yes, earpiece volume in call, ringtone volume, both are lower than 7.1.2, 100% certain about that. I make a lot of phone calls so it took me only 1 minute to notice. Well done Google. Loud in call volume was one of the better things for this phone.
No OTA, full image flashed with wipe here.
check that its not trying to play sound through a connected bluetooth device, when i upgraded it was send mine through my watch had to turn off my watch and reboot then the sound went the the phone ok
I received oreo via ota, and no issues here, try reinstall the img!
Well, I guess I'm just getting old and can't hear anymore.
*Damn kids on my lawn
Oreo call volume is extremely low. Tested it alongside of my wife's pixel running N and you can really hear the difference.

so i stated above i didnt see a difference BUT today i did start paying more attention and so maybe someone else can test this but i use mine for work all day so i get a lot of time for calls on it and although my volume appeared to be set at 100% if while on a call i push the volume up it appears to get louder.
so i guess

Spotify Notification Issue - Android 8.0 Update

Hello Everyone,
I've been sticking with the old 7.0 update for a while, because of an odd issue I was having with the Spotify playback notification. Basically, I just found it annoying how the volume controls kind of clipped into the album art on the 8.0 upgrade. Could anyone confirm for me whether this is still the case on 8.0? Not sure if this is an odd request, but I'd appreciate it regardless. I've been having some performance issues that I've read have been improved with the newer updates.
In case this is something that only I have noticed, it would still help me if someone would be willing to take a screenshot of Spotify running on the Oreo update.

Hey, I'm running Android 8.0 EMUI on my honor 7x right now. What's the issue, I didn't really understand from your original post. I use Spotify daily, and I've never seen any clipping that you have mentioned? Thanks.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Basically, I'm referring to the fact that the volume controls where cutting off the edge of the album art, specifically when the Spotify playback notification is collapsed.
Here's how the expanded notification looks in 7.0, pretty much the same as it did with 8.

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now, here's the way that the notification looks when collapsed in 7.0:
The problem is basically that in 8.0, instead of downsizing the album art like you see here, the size stays larger, but the volume controls are in the same place. This caused the volume controls to overlap the album art slightly. Like I said, I don't know if most people would consider this an issue, or if it's just a pet peeve of mine, but it's just the way I'd prefer the notification to work.
When I talked to Honor support in order to get my phone downgraded, they told me it was a glitch, and that it was up to Spotify to fix it in a future update. I was just hoping that maybe they would have done that by now, since it's been over a month since then.

I haven't had the notification pop up, but I have been having issues with the fingerprint sensor not recognizing my finger after multiple tries. It's getting pretty annoying as I have to switch hands to use my other thumb.

Don't remove fp/any security because you'll most probably have same problem. I'd try reflash firmware via odin, but can't risk losing banking apps pin's because of the current situation.

But the fingerprint is now faster than ever and the animations is also being reduced which is good.
Had the same issue,factory resetting didn't help either ,so had to reflash back to Android 9,no one seems to have an answer yet .

Have you tried some other region that people saying it's all good(eg. UK)? Register all fingers on 9, do ota on 10 and try then?
Sent from my GM1910 using Tapatalk
After the update, I removed the fingerprints, and have added them again. I couldn't add them when the environmental light levels were high or there was any shine on the screen. I'd suggest doing it in the dark if you are having issues. However, since getting the same fingerprint added in low, medium and as high light levels as I could, the fingerpint scanner is much better. Quicker to work and fails much less often. It has improved gradually over the year I've had the phone. Sorry to hear some others are having issues.

Hi. I have the same problem, how could you solve it? Thanks for your time! :good:
In order to fix this issue you need to flash android 9 via odin then register your 3 fingerprints then update to android 10 via odin without wiping data and the fingerprints will be still registered. Ive done it and it works no problem.
@The_Kernel Yes, that's the only way.. This is disappointing, i thought Samsung put their ****te together, but no.
