I haven't had the notification pop up, but I have been having issues with the fingerprint sensor not recognizing my finger after multiple tries. It's getting pretty annoying as I have to switch hands to use my other thumb.

Don't remove fp/any security because you'll most probably have same problem. I'd try reflash firmware via odin, but can't risk losing banking apps pin's because of the current situation.

But the fingerprint is now faster than ever and the animations is also being reduced which is good.
Had the same issue, factory resetting didn't help either ,so had to reflash back to Android 9,no one seems to have an answer yet .

Have you tried some other region that people saying it's all good(eg. UK)? Register all fingers on 9, do ota on 10 and try then?

After the update, I removed the fingerprints, and have added them again. I couldn't add them when the environmental light levels were high or there was any shine on the screen. I'd suggest doing it in the dark if you are having issues. However, since getting the same fingerprint added in low, medium and as high light levels as I could, the fingerpint scanner is much better. Quicker to work and fails much less often. It has improved gradually over the year I've had the phone. Sorry to hear some others are having issues.

Hi. I have the same problem, how could you solve it? Thanks for your time! :good:
In order to fix this issue you need to flash android 9 via odin then register your 3 fingerprints then update to android 10 via odin without wiping data and the fingerprints will be still registered. Ive done it and it works no problem.
@The_Kernel Yes, that's the only way.. This is disappointing, i thought Samsung put their ****te together, but no.

Hello,
My N7100's a little too sensitive to rotation on the right. This just started happening 2 days ago, out of the blue. For the left side, I have to rotate my phone properly into landscape mode but to the right, even if it is tilted 1/8th of an inch e.g. while picking phone up, switching hands or left handed operation, it will suddenly rotate to landscape.
I have tried calibrating the gyroscope some 10 times but to no avail.
Any solution to this?
Thanks!
SOLVED: Read post #8
No one?
It's a bug in samsung touchwiz (4.1.2)..I have it too only solution I got was to use ultimate rotation control it will help or else if you can wait for samsung to fix it in 4.2.2
Here's the app link I hope it helps

@mufaddalezzi Thank you for your reply. However, my problem has not been solved by the app since it doesnt adjust the sensor.
My problem:
Phone thinks its tilted to the right while it is only 5-6 degrees to the right. I cant play games that require motion sensing such as Temple run because the character is running to the right with the phone being perfectly straight.
XDA, i need your help!
P.s: i tried restoring to an older nandroid backup from TWRP but to no avail
Tried. Calibration from the service menu at *#0*# under Sensors and again, no help. This wathe post that fixedit for someone else

Maybe it's a hardware failure(accelerometer or gyroscope)..that means you might need to change/replace it

Sure? I am not covered by warranty and would hate to sell my phone the gyro works fine its just that the calibration of it is wrong, the phone thinks it is tilted slightly to the right
I figured it out. For anyone else with this problem:
1) Boot phone into safe mode (Turn phone off and turn it back on. As soon as animation starts press and hold volume down button - It should say SAFE MODE in the lower left corner of the screen when turned on)
2) Reboot phone
Voila!
Mystery solved. Case closed.
Hi,
Stock Android - Not Rooted 5.1.1
I am attaching two images here. I am pretty sure it's not a hardware problem since my other sensors are working so I would like to figure out which apps are blocking these sensors and how to fix.
A quick reboot is a temporary fix.

Pretty sure that this is a hardware issue. Two of the most common issue of this tablet is auto-rotate and touch screen. I experienced the auto-rotate issue a week or two ago wherein placing the tablet on a flat surface face down and pushing the "N" and "S" letters at the back and doing a reboot temporarily fixed the auto-rotate issue. Which if I may say only worked for a few hours.
It came to a point that the reboot and pushing the letters no longer worked. This is the time where I searched and found a hardware workaround: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLCAeBe2hVU this is if you're willing and have the guts to open up your tablet. It seems that the wires connecting the accelerometer/gyroscope and touchscreen "loosens" over time. I've applied the fix a week ago and no longer experience the auto-rotate issue.
Obviously It's still best to send your tablet for repairs if you still have warranty.

I had already applied that fix so was ambient sensor working. Earlier none of the sensors use to work. But now since removing my magnetic case it seems to work fine for today. Will see how long does it last!

Actually disabling automatic brightness and removing magnetic cover has seemed to solve the issue. I am using Velis Auto Brightness and since then the auto rotate has never ever stopped.

Attached a screenshot. This has been happening for a couple months now, maybe a bit longer.
I don't think it's a hardware issue as it really only happens in the Gmail app. Also, not sure it would be captured via screenshot if it was some kind of loose connection.
Doesn't happen anywhere else that I can think of off hand. Lasts for about a second then clears up on its own.
It has persisted over a couple builds at least. Some from clean installs as well. I root the phone straight away, so next time I'll try stock for a bit to rule any of that out.
Hoping it's not just me.

Yep, same bug here and only with Gmail app http://imgur.com/rjAZE9J
Yep, I'm getting the same
Those occur for me as well, that's why inbox is my choice of app
I was getting to. I sideloaded the march ota yesterday (that has the performance fixes) and it is no longer occuring. Not sure if the two are related, but that is the only change thing that has changed for me. Was definitely annoying..
Had the same on 6.0.1, moved to android N and t desapired

unfortunately only with Android N the problem goes away, with MHC19J is still present
Glad I'm not the only one and my device isn't defective. It's a minor annoyance knowing that now.
Happening to me as well, on stock. Haven't gotten the March ota yet.

Weird. Definitely gone for me after applying the March ota. Did you wipe the cache partition after applying the update? I always do after any update.

flash-all.bat every Factory Image.
If you have not yet seen the glitching on the MHC19J, not try to reproduce it with open/close Gmail, closing all recent apps and re-open Gmail... because you could have a nasty surprise
Is there a way to have this feature on our phones? I've tried a few apps, but it isn't the same.
Any modules or rooted apps you might recommend will be greatly appreciated ????
If you will leave the phone upright, you can use an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexnor.gravityscreenofffree&hl=en
Glance Plus is close, but not perfect.
"Always On" on the play store is really good. It is probably the best that I have found honestly with the most features. The developer is open to suggestions as well.
I use Tasker for that. I set it up so when connected to any power, screen time out changes to 23 hrs, 59 min, 59 sec if screen is on. When state is disconnected from power, time out changes back to 1 minute.

You can have the screen stay on when plugged in from developer options
Max OD's TMobile S7 port had the best implementation of AOD I've used, but it was still buggy and annoying...i disabled it straight away. I don't think Samsung has even had it working all that well. Different strokes and all that, but I don't see much point in the feature, makes the phone feel like an LG clamshell from '04.

I tried in on the Noble ROM. When unlocking the home screen, it would stay dark. I understand that's an issue with Dr Ketan's new ROM as well.

Hi
On the Note Edge 915 Noble Rom the screen saturates, like it is a Xray picture... But the AOD works with the fix that has been given in the third post of the Noble Rom. But the display beeing Xray'd isnt nice, so hopfully there will be a fix for this.
I use Android 9 on my radio and the latest GMaps. When I start to navigate the big green label of directions covers 60% of the screen. How to delete it or turn it off? Thank you in advance

The culprit is likely your low screen resolution. Try to cram more content on the screen by increasing the DPI density. Here's some pointers:
https://www.themefoxx.com/2018/01/how-to-change-dpi-density-android.html
Be careful though. Going too crazy with those settings may result in some elements or buttons showing off screen.

You're wrong! I already found the problem. The problem is in the new GMaps not in the resolution. A lot of users complain for this problem. I installed a lower version of GMaps and everything is good now.

That doesn't make me wrong. My suggestion may allow you to use the newer version on your low resolution screen by scaling everything smaller.
Just for the records, the current Google Maps looks just fine on my device.

What kind of device do you use? The newest version of GMaps works badly on horizontal view. Maybe it works on some phones not on the Android Radios.
