It sounds like you didn't unlock your bootloader yet. That or your fastboot drivers are not installed. Run the driver test in the tool
The only thing i can do is lock and unlock my bootloader. Its weird because i follow all your steps

I have a idea to clean up any problems you might be having. In my tool folder there is a program called rsdlite install it and then connect the device in bootloader / fastboot mode. Then it will show up in rsd lite. next select the XML file in the folder and flash the watch to factory. See if this fixes the problems

Unfortunately, My comp doesnt reconize the watch. It just comes up with unreconized device. I have tried 2 diff cables, 3 diff comps, uninstalled, reinstalled drivers multiple times. ANY ideas what could be the issue??

in device manager you will see update devices click it then click manually install. next look at both compatible and uncompatible drivers until you find the motorola drivers. then pick one if it works good and if not then try a different one.
Some times i have to install them manually like this. also make sure usb debugging is turned on on the moto 360 watch. the computer will not see it without this step.

Are you sure you are connecting the cable to the correct 4 pins on the watch? This can be confusing because if you flip it over to connect the cable the connections flip also.

Yup, double checked wiring, pin, 3 diff comps, everything. Guess I wont have root if I can never get the proper drivers installed. Bummer, thanks for your time.

No more USB after Root??
I was able to unlock the BL and Root my Moto 360 with your tool, thank you very much for the "easy way"!! My concern is that now I cannot reconnect via USB. I have even made 2 more connectors and nothing, not even the USB connection sound. Is this a normal side effect? or did I screw it up? I'm leaning on user error because I was pulling the connector off the watch before unplugging it from the computer and it zapped, shut down the PC and rebooted the watch. Watch seems to be fine, no noticeable issues after it rebooted. So I dunno...

you probably need to uninstall the device in device manager then let the drivers install again

Pls help with my moto 360 issue
Hi All,
I’ve tried the Motorola Moto 360 Super Tool to recover my watch from an issue on flashing the software/rom using Gohma 2.3 intructions and tools. But after that, my moto360 now is under this mode and stuck always:
1. It always booting to Hboot when plug in with USB connector cable
2. It can not recognize on the PC/Mac always with the error as attached screenshot, that shown: “USB Devices Desabled” or “Power surge on USB ports”…always
link to issue screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1cxZ43OIpuJZUtwYzRfeXNQb2s/view?usp=sharing
So it can not do anything right now, even using the Motorola Moto360 tool to recover it back to factory stage.
Appreciate if u guys can help me on this. It’s been stucking here for over 2 weeks w/o solutions ☺
Tks All and Have a great day to You All!

Power surge means bad cable. Make a new one and try again.
[Note to modo: feel free to move this post to apropriate place]
NB2: I can't post attachment, but github can
You can hard brick a lenovo K920 phone, if you (me) are too lame and flash anything you can find, so there's even no lights, not recovery/factory reset/bootloader anymore, here's how to recover:
github.com/juju2013/K920HardBrickRecovery
Have fun!
Is that realy true
I have bricked my Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (ROW). I also lost the partition. How to recover? I can boot in to recovery mod as well TWRP.

Yes, in my curiosity of trying to flash various new ROMs and Kernals, I have bricked my mobile twice after which it was completely dead and this did work. When I plugged out the battery connector, there was a little spark which appears to be a static current (???!!!) preventing my battery from charging or powering on my device.

If u are able to get to bootloader, flash firmware with QFIL. You will get everything back.

There's no need to get to bootloader. He needs Qualcomm HS-USB drivers for 9006 and 9008 mods. Get the proper ROM with prog_emmc_firehose; flash(something).xml, rawprogram0.xml and patch.xml, and you're ready to flash!

Hi All,
I waited to drain the battery fully. And out of curiosity just connected it to my laptop. I saw red light blinking and then finally connected to original charger. And I got my device back to life. Then installed S288_ROW using OFIL.
Good evening.
I was trying to update my motorola xt1789-05 and he died, does not turn on and does not appear the button recovery + volume.
Does anyone know any method to resurrect?

Maybe in emergency download mode
Do you have a pc?
Connect to pc
Open device manager
If its listed as qloader
You need to flash a Blankflash
Download blankflash from
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/nash/
And see blankflash links in
Moto Drivers, Firmware, RSD Lite, and other Unbricking Tools

After booting to TWRP and installation of TWRP and lineage OS the phone rebootet into nothing. The screen was black and USB is recognized as 05c6:9008 Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode) under Linux. Is there any chance to get that phone back or did I just wasted some money? I tried the rescue and smart assistant program but that seems to rely on fastboot which isn't available any more. Do you guys know if there is a customer support for this and what pricing policy they have on this?

Your device is in emergency download mode (EDL) or Qualcomm download mode (QDL)
You need a blankflash for 'River' your device codename.
Lots of threads on this in
Moto G7 forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g7
Sent from my ocean using XDA Labs

Thanks for the help. I used a blankflash from https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g7/how-to/blankflash-moto-g7-xt1962-5-river-reteu-t4020263 which worked quite well. This was not the official way so I hope these files are in any way signed and not modified. I'm a bit paranoid about that. The flashing did not work under linux but windows did the trick.
