I know that there is another Lineage thread, but I decided to create a new one. Why? Because CAF!
It really is better, especially graphics is faster...
Bugs:
- of course camera - still doesn't focus well... (it eventually does, but it takes seconds and you have to manually select on screen where to focus). Maybe other problems with cam. (videorecording)
- touch screen is sometimes irresponsible - turn off the screen or try to pull out notification bar (most of the times enough to bring touch back)
- MHL
No gapps included this time (use for example open gapps)

Before sleep i charged my phone to 100% and when i woke up battery was at ~90% (WiFi on, GSM on, without Gapps). So deep sleep is working

All my contacts are duplicated and I can't deleted them. Every time there get duplicated.

Read the thread about TA backup and restore. You can search google for it.
Nougat for Z1 is improved a lot from last time I tried it. Rom is super smooth, ril is fine, deep sleep wors great.

Camera open from instagram but in WhatsApp camera is crashing. But work to scan QR for WhatsApp Web.

Since i heard the news about FlymeOS being supporting some devices officially for their Roms, i was itching to get my hands on the OS. I seaeched a lot and did not find any ROM for mi 5 Prime. But yesterday i searched in a chinese forum of MIUI and found a Rom that is Based on CM 6.0.1.

Thats actually a problem of Twrp on mi 5. THE password is your lock screen password. OR Clean Data only in Twrp and do not reboot to system instead again reboot to recovery. YOU WILL LOST YOUR DATA as you are coming back to marshmallow

Hi, is it possible to install this if i'm coming from xiaomi.eu nougat ROM? Data is already decrypted.
Reboot to TWRP, Go to Wipe, Only Wipe DATA and do not reboot to system instead go to main menu on twrp and Reboot and reboot to Recovery... after reboot, You should not get any passwrod or thing. Then install Rom, for safety install twice as it was mentioned in the Installation of Rom itself.

Yep you must flash gapps btw I dont think that this rom is good for now very bad optimizing and some bugs. I instaled it yesterday and i change it back to RR

try use ZCX recovery. because mine works flawlessly
I installed this Rom and it's made me trouble.
First, after it's booted up, i couldn't go true home screen, its crash.
I returned my backup rom(miui 8), and now i have no sound at all. I think it's because the android version...
I tried to install ROM through twrp recovery. But phone is unable to boot.
I think my process was not correct.

install RRos first then wipe then this one
if is still don't install you can restore custom rom if you backup ones your custom rom
BTW is has deep sleep issues
It won't turn on back after couple of minutes the screen is off

I will use this rom for a while I hope they remove xposed because it's unstable for nougat. I think it causes the device to not turn on after a minute of sleep

Yes its smoothness is much better than all other ROMs
But when you live the phone off you can't turn the screen back on

See page 1: hibernate issues. When the screen goes to sleep... your phone will never wake up again (unless new install).

This is deep sleep issue , earlier honor 8 had too , hold the power button for more than 10 secs it will reboot and again for some time the screen will work.

Dont waste your time and data in these buggy roms , whats new in this rom , nothing everything which you have been seen since cynogenmod roms , camera not working, screen going to sleep , no extra feature , i think the stock emui is more feature enriched than these custom rom .

Well, some features are available in custom ROMs that aren't in EMUI but, I do get your point.

They are a good team and I remember they use to have a lot of customizations for users to tweak.

A thread was already created on Redmi 3S forum regarding this. But since this thread is linked to the original Mi5 thread, so I'm attaching camera info and reporting the problems again.
Problems:
1. Greenish photo when taking pictures with front cam in portrait mode.
2. App crash upon selecting Video mode.

Portrait mode is working fine on rear camera.
But portrait mode for front cam is not working, Camera doesn't take picture while using portrait. And without portrait mode, Front camera does take picture.
On previous version (1.3), Front cam was able to take pictures in portrait mode but had a green tint all over the image!
Video recording is not working (on both cam).

@Arnova8G2, Sir one more serious problem.. lastest GCams mods are not working on any oreo 8.1 builds.. either app crashing or showing black screen.. please look into this matter first.. what i noticed other front cam problem is a common problem now in every devices.. it will solve surely.. but i feel this mod not working on any oreo 8.1 rom is really a serious issue! please fix it first if possible..

Changes that I've seen:
Video is now WORKING fine on both cameras.
Motion photo option (which was not working before) is now removed.
HDR control is not showing up for the front cam. It's fine on back cam.
Front portrait pictures are still greenish.
Can't say if this version is working on Android 8.1 or not, because I'm on 7.1.2.

I also believe this is really a biggest concern as it has stopped many r3s user in nougat. I also want to use 8.1 but can't use due to this problem. This gcam mode has been a really high end thing in this budget device.

Yeah but I guess (and also heard) that is our device issue in 8.1 where HAL3 is not yet properly implemented so enabling Camera2API has no effect (which is needed for GCam to work)... Im not sure about it but if it is the caes then We have to wait for Our Developers to fix this...

If yes, then please download "Manual Camera Compatibility Test" app from Play Store. This app will show if Camera2API is working properly or not.

Kinda good suggestion. This could tell what exactly problem is...
In latest GCam mod 1.5 beta 2 Portait mode is working much better in front camera. Picture is less greenish in good light but still it is green. Portait mode only works if you enable the hdr plus front camera in advance menu option.
front cam problem & video recording issue will be fixed soon!! as it's an overall issue..
i am just waiting for GCam to work on 8.1 roms.. it's been long time, hope some dev fixes it soon!!

I am on AEX 4.6 modify by jar
I purposely installed this rom to experience the portrait mode
I have just installed the apk of that mod.
Do i need to do some more steps (i.e. edit in build.prop and add some files to root folder except enabling camera2 api)
Please reply and help me!

I am on viper 3.1.1 and did not use AEX so can't say about it. You just have to enable camera 2api via magisk module or build prop. You dont need to do more than this. The mod will work only on Naugat or 8.0 oreo. I am waiting for a fix in 8.1 as this is not working in it.

I did exactly the same thing. But its force closing the app and crashing every time i open it!

Changes that I've seen:
Video is now WORKING fine on both cameras.
Motion photo option (which was not working before) is now removed.
HDR control is not showing up for the front cam. It's fine on back cam.
Front portrait pictures are still greenish.
Can't say if this version is working on Android 8.1 or not, because I'm on 7.1.2.

Check if camera 2api is properly activated. Use open camera and tick the camera 2api option in setting and check if iso and shutter speed is adjustable or not. If yes, then camera 2api is ok and the problem may be in rom. And if not, then flash the camera 2api magisk module rather than editing the build prop.

Flashing Process:
Go to TWRP
Wipe cache / dalvik cache / data / system.
Then MIUI 9
Then Kernal (important)
It might show error 7 on first try, don't panic flash ROM again without wiping anything.
Wipe Cache and dalvic cache.
Reboot.

Try to update twrp to 3.0 and re flash it

Flashing right now bro. It is flashing with TWRP 3.0 now.

Kernel also flashed without any error 7, as you mentioned in the start. My device E700F (4G)

1. Wifi never gets ON.
2. Torch never gets ON from notification bar.
3. I flashed Super User, then Viper for android to get the sound bridge through V4A but dosent work.
4. 3rd party camera app dosent works.
5. Home button dosent work while phone is lock.
6. I cant test GPS using GPS test app because WIFI is not working. ( So, GPS un tested )
7. When i turn ON the bluetooth it always remain in connecting state i.e. its starts turning ON but never gets ON.
I tried restarting the device and flashed again but same issue persist.
4G is working perfectly, Sim network is working perfectly, no lags and very smooth, navigation buttons are working perfectly OK.
