[Q] Instagram hang on Android 4.2.2

Hi,
I installed Android 4.2.2 on HTC desire. Then i installed Instagram. Everytime i run Instagram and apply any changes on image file, the phone will freeze. I have to remove battery and re-power on the phone. Is this a known problem?

i've this problem also on GB (mild wild 9.5) rom. is there a way to fix it?

searching for a fix too.

installing Instagram to the Internal Storage fixed this ! ...but filters don't work all the time
I'm using MildWild's Rom (HTC Desire), it has this option to install apps to your internal, even though app2sd is installed
other solutions I found(didnt work for me, might work for others) were:
-Instagram>Settings>Advanced Features>Use HQ Image Processing
-Go to Developer Settings>Force GPU Rendering
-Crop/resize to 612by612 before uploading (Filters work if I use this)
-Dont use filters
-Use instagram itself to take teh pictures

For launcher problem install nova launcher... Default keyboard only will have 4 languages if you want more install any other keyboard from play store:good:

Xposed will work...But work in caution you may face some restarting problem

Thank you for the port. Appreciate your efforts.
I was however unable to use it as it doesnt detect vodafone india network, tried replacing the modem, but no go. But overall the ROM has a very smooth feel. Even blink manager worked for me

I know that there is another Lineage thread, but I decided to create a new one. Why? Because CAF!
It really is better, especially graphics is faster...
Bugs:
- of course camera - still doesn't focus well... (it eventually does, but it takes seconds and you have to manually select on screen where to focus). Maybe other problems with cam. (videorecording)
- touch screen is sometimes irresponsible - turn off the screen or try to pull out notification bar (most of the times enough to bring touch back)
- MHL
No gapps included this time (use for example open gapps)

Before sleep i charged my phone to 100% and when i woke up battery was at ~90% (WiFi on, GSM on, without Gapps). So deep sleep is working

All my contacts are duplicated and I can't deleted them. Every time there get duplicated.

Read the thread about TA backup and restore. You can search google for it.

Nougat for Z1 is improved a lot from last time I tried it. Rom is super smooth, ril is fine, deep sleep wors great.

Camera open from instagram but in WhatsApp camera is crashing. But work to scan QR for WhatsApp Web.

Mokee ROM for honor 6X (Nougat 7.1.2)

I tried to install ROM through twrp recovery. But phone is unable to boot.
I think my process was not correct.

I am looking forward if someone can install successfully this rom.

Vendor.img can be downloaded from ROM section.

install RRos first then wipe then this one
if is still don't install you can restore custom rom if you backup ones your custom rom
BTW is has deep sleep issues
It won't turn on back after couple of minutes the screen is off

I will use this rom for a while I hope they remove xposed because it's unstable for nougat. I think it causes the device to not turn on after a minute of sleep

This is official nightly rom. Everyday they are releasing update. How is camera quality in this rom?

Yes its smoothness is much better than all other ROMs
But when you live the phone off you can't turn the screen back on

Thanks for your answer. However didn't understood the issue with screen shut off... could you explain it better? And... How is battery life?

See page 1: hibernate issues. When the screen goes to sleep... your phone will never wake up again (unless new install).

This is deep sleep issue , earlier honor 8 had too , hold the power button for more than 10 secs it will reboot and again for some time the screen will work.

Nice, when your phone is ringing.
I'm staying on stock untill some Rom is stable.
So, please keep testing :good:

Ask gopinaidu he might fix it

Dont waste your time and data in these buggy roms , whats new in this rom , nothing everything which you have been seen since cynogenmod roms , camera not working, screen going to sleep , no extra feature , i think the stock emui is more feature enriched than these custom rom .

Well, some features are available in custom ROMs that aren't in EMUI but, I do get your point.

They are a good team and I remember they use to have a lot of customizations for users to tweak.

A3003 rear camera not working.

Hi - Been a while since ive posted on XDA....nice to be back..
As above ive been given the above one plus 3 to fix - was told "the rear camera doesnt work...."
A few things to note.....
1. Phone is totally stock and up to date...it did an update when i powered it up....
2. When you open the camer app it defaults to the front camera - as if the rear camera is not even connected. Tapping on the camera switch to switch to the other camera yeilds nothing - the button is animated but it doesnt do anything as if the camera is not even connected.
3. Pulled the back of and disconnected the camera - the exact same behaviour as above.
4. Thought "just needs a new camera" - bought said new camera - still the same - no change.
Questions: Is this a softare issue or is there something else (motherboard perhaps)
Look forward to hearing from anyone that chips in.

Try backing up everything and downloading an unbrick tool and restore the phone back to factory defaults but go back to the first android that was on the device which as android 6.0

that was my next stop - custom rom first or no??

no just try and restore the phone first

Heh - well, that went well....not....got all the way through and flashed a rom "experience os" - and now ive got a black screen....its definately alive as on power on and off the device manager is re-calibrating....
Unbrick tool??

found the unbricking tool......

restored back to a base image....no change....

Got no wifi now either....tried the experience os which didnt go well...can anyone recommend one? (TWRP now back on)

If one is to flash OOS 9.0.6, in other words stock ROM, there is no need for flashing any firmware before. Stock ROM contains the proper firmware.
