I just updated my phone to EMUI 10 stable. I am having all kinds of connectivity issues. The biggest one is using mobile data. If I am on WiFi and then switch to mobile data only. I no longer have internet connectivity. I have to put the phone in airplane mode and then switch out of airplane mode. Everything seems to work at that point. Anyone else having issues with mobile data. WiFi I don't have any issues with internet connectivity or apps getting data.

It's always best doing a factory reset when a major firmware update has occurred. In this case emui 9 to 10. Good luck.

I did the factory reset and that did not fix the issue. As soon as I switch from wifi to mobile data anything that requires internet access no longer works. If I turn off mobile data and then switch it back on the data works. I will keep searching for an answer.

If it's any consolation since emui 10 I get blank spaces in my cell signal. Was never like that on 9.1 even when I rolled back once .

Did they mention how to roll back to emui 9.1? I wanna do that. I'm having the same issues now.
Till a patch gets to us. I put the mobile data icon and wifi icon on the pull down screen. A toggle off then back on brings mobile data back on. Don't like the notification on how much data I have used while screen is off. How do you stop that notification.

You will need to download the Hisuite app and connect your phone. Once you connect your phone. Click on update. It will tell you that your phone is on the latest update. There is an option to select the previous update. Which is version 9. Here is the link. https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/hisuite/
I just did this and all is working now. Be patient when it is download emui 9 in the app. It took me about 10 or more minutes. Also make sure the screen on the phone stays on while it is downloading Emui 9 or you will have to reconnect. Good luck!
Im always exclusively on 4G LTE and not WiFi , hoping those blanks in my mobile connection is superfluous since I haven't had any connection issues or noticed any so far.

Hopefully Huawei will push an update in the next week or so to clear all the issues up with 10. I will certainly be a little more careful with updating my phone with the next 10 release. The good thing is I have two Mate 20X phones. I install the update on my backup phone before installing 10 on my daily driver.

So, I was super excited when I saw the new paranoid android update. I immediately download it, wipe dalvik cache and cache. Flash it, then did the same with the google apps. But afterwards, I wasn't getting data. I thought it was normal at first. Others said it took a little while for them to get data connection back. So I waited. That was at 4 am. Its now 4:30 pm. And I still have no data. I've tried reflashing both the rom and the Google apps but it has not worked. But while doing that, I accidently rushed and end up wiping my data. Had to restore some of it all the way back to June 16. Because like an idiot, I didn't back it up. But even after that, no data. Its just grey bars. I can make calls and stuff. But no internet connection whatsoever. No H at the top. Doesn't tell me I have 3g nor 4g. And when it did, It was still grey with no connection. I searched the forums, but I couldn't find an answer or someone with the same exact problem. And even when I connect to wifi, I still cannot access the play store. If I try to install something, it gives me an error. ("Easy tether Lite" could not be downloaded due to an error (error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]) ).
Anyone got a fix for this?
I also tried to go back to PA 4.2.2 with the 4.2.2 apps and a 4.2.2 kernel. But it stayed at the booting animation forever.

Can you post in development section? If so I'd ask what else to try in the ROM thread. That's the only trick I know of on the 4.3 ROMs other than toggling mobile data and airplane mode. By the way what mobile network settings are you on?

Can you explain that for me? I don't know a whole lot about APNs and stuff.
Here is everything I tried.
Resetting my RTN and updating my profile and PRL.
Rebooting (Obviously lol)
Toggling the network modes. I am currently on "LTE". I also do not know what Evod and wcdma are.
Clearing google play services framework cache and data.
Removing my google account and putting it back on my phone.
Reinstalling the ROM
Reinstalling the kernel.
Installing a different kernel.
Trying to go back to 4.2.2 but failed. It just stayed at the booting animation for 30 minutes.
Going into airplane mode and out of it.
Here is what it's doing after all that.
I can't make calls, send messages, nor can I go on the internet. Basically no service, but it has 2 blue bars of cellular network.
It doesn't even show a H, 3g or 4g icon up there. And when it did, it was all grey bars and when they were blue, I still couldn't go on the web.
But now they just have 2 bars, no data icon.
It's been 2 days now, and I am in urgent need of fast help. I am willing to give my delicious cookie recipe to anyone who can provide me with that. (Dead serious).

Toggle airplane mode when data stops working. Only thing I can do to get data working for me personally.
Also, try to avoid that sprint diagnostics trick about resetting things. You're really more likely to cause additional problems then fix anything.

You may be able to provision via WiFi and if not you'll need to make a call to sprint.
If you do need to call sprint to re-provision, just play dumb. "Can't make calls or use mobile data, haaalp me pleeeez", they don't need to know any more info.

Updated last night. Phone got pretty hot. I was having a kind of increased battery drain since 5.0, but this seems to have taken care of it, as far as I can tell from just this morning.
To those who are experiencing the hotter than normal phones, are you using the supplied Fast Charger?
Mine is dead after charging overnight. When I picked it up this morning it was very hot, but couldn't get any response out of it. Taking it to a ATT Device Support Center to try and get a warranty replacement. This was the first time I had charged my phone after installing the update yesterday afternoon.
Maybe a chance the small update screwed with the fast charging somehow?
These updates are becoming more and more of a headache. I really wish they would stop just shoving these things out here before being throughly tested. And if they don't, at least they could unlock the bootloader. I'd take it from there.
I actually haven't had too much of an issue. Android system seems to be taking up less battery than before which is nice. Just to make sure I did a factory reset, cleared cache and installed everything fresh. So far battery life seems the same as before.
My battery life is better but won't know for sure until several days. I see android system taking way less %, actually android also.

After months of waiting for AT&T to update our $700 phones, the update is quite buggy. Are there fixes out for the various problems with Marshmallow?
1. WIFI connectivity comes and goes. It is difficult to overstate the seriousness of connectivity bugs for power users on a phone with no removable media. My WIFI connects to a network (usually, but not always) but it won't stay connected long. It will drop out and reconnect seemingly when it so chooses. It does seem to work to force a reconnect by cycling WIFI on and off. This bug is horrible.
2. Battery drain is not something I've complained about on this phone til now. If I don't KEEP my phone in ultra battery conservation mode, with regular use the battery lasts a couple of hours TOPS.
3. Mobile data connectivity is now buggy as well. Like the WIFI, it comes and goes. Though it is more consistent than the WIFI.
4. Facebook disconnects constantly. I don't know if this is only because of the mobile data and WIFI connectivity issues or if it is a specific app problem with Marshmallow as well as the WIFI/network issue.
What bugs are you all seeing and are there fixes available?
I agree with 1 and 3. Way to many times to reboot. I like the one that was snuck out from underneath them.

Yes, most of us wiped multiple times. This update is garbage. I was the one who told many to do a reset or clear cache on the sideload. That fixed all issues on PE5, the PE6 OTA is the worst update I have seen from any company ever. I have all of the mentioned issues with wifi, screen staying on, and EXTREME battery drain. This must be a joke and AT&T is probably laughing at us all.

Sorry to hear about your problems. PE6 on mine via sideload with full factory defaults so not sure if you will accept this as a comparison. Did a full backup and restore with Samsung Smart Switch to try and maintain as much as my previous apps/config as possible. However, since upgrading, my phone has been very stable and battery life has increased quite a bit. Old firmware, battery would be 36%-ish by end of day and with PE6 seeing it at 56%-ish now so very happy there. As for the data connectivity issue, my wifi has been very solid and mobile data connectivity has been solid as well but didn't have an issue on lolli either. I don't do Facebook so nothing to compare there. Over all, I am very happy with the upgrade.
Received as OTA, cannot detect any problems the OP is having on my own device.
Was having a small issue with Wifi turning itself off once upon reboot after installing Good Lock, but it doesn't seem to be doing that any longer. Battery was a bit unwell after OTA and setup but has settled to 0.5%/hr resting drain now.
Looking good to me.
I took the Ota. Only bug I've found is settings crash when selecting theme from the android settings.

The only observation I have after the OTA update on my is #3 the battery. MM seems to drain a battery a little quicker, but at the same time my Note 5 is much snappier and more enjoyable to use. I decided to installed PD 6.x per some users here suggested. That took care of the battery. Other than that, I don't see any other issues OP mentioned.

I had a bad android system battery drain... used ABD to do a batterystats dump and discovered it was Google Backup causing a major wakelock all day long. Every single day since updating... I disabled Google Backup in the Backup and Reset menu in settings... rebooted into recovery mode... cleared Cache... rebooted again... battery life has been almost double since.

Now this evening I've been getting, "Sim Card has been removed. Restart your phone." Could my Sim be bad?

Having my Mate 20x for 3 months now and being generally happy with it, I recently encountered an annoying bug.
It seems that whenever I connect to a WiFi, that doesn't have Internet capability currently, the phone uses my mobile data to connect, download or sync. Like as if Wifi+ was enable (which isn't the case).
As I'm a permanent traveler, currently in Africa, connecting to WiFi that temporarily don't work, happens quite often, especially after a blackout or something.
Anyway, my Wifi+ is switched off, I restarted and switched it also a few times, but my mobile data is still being used when WiFi doesn't work properly.
I have the EVR-L29 still on the 9.0.0.208 version. The 9.0.0.300 update has popped, but I'm afraid to download it, due to newly introduced crashed and since I basically don't have any other problem with the phone and awesome battery life. Having had Mate 8 and Mate 10 before, I had a few times, that updating too early made it less than worthwhile and since I'm not rooted and despite using Android since Froyo, I'm meanwhile beyond the flashing and downgrading days of old.
What would you guys recommend to remedy the problem?
Thanks!

I think this is an unfortunate feature if emui on this device. I recently asked the question of why is 4G still showing on my status bar when I'm connected to WiFi. On other devices that I've owned connecting to WiFi would visibly remove the mobile data connection. It would be appear that in your case connecting to WiFi truly doesn't disable mobile data.
How about if you turn WiFi+ off, and try connecting to the dead access point, what happens then? Does it still use mobile data ? I just looked at WiFi + and it states that it connects automatically to mobile data and or WiFi to stay online. So perhaps it's doing as intended?

Yes, my Wifi+ is always off. I never used that feature. But I noticed also as you mentioned, that the mobile data counter is still on, even when connected to WiFi. And when the WiFi status has that 'exlamation mark' meaning it's not connected to the Internet, that counter is still running, thus taking data from mobile data.

On the attached screenshot it shows mobile data field as present with WiFi on with my device. On other devices that field Mobile Data would show "disconnected". I wish I could help further , I'm new to emui.

I knowwwww... But I'm reluctant to set up everything manually again... Might probably go through all those updates once I have a stable and fast WiFi again somewhere.

I don't understand? Is it possible to switch on or off something in those settings? I can't seem to find it on my phone?

I don't think there is. It seems an emui feature.
Like I mentioned earlier, other Android devices I've used in the past automatically shut down/ disable mobile data when WiFi is connected. Seems like with this device you don't truly know if you're on mobile data or wifi.?

Interesting tid bit I just came across and thought I'd share with you. So for the first time on this device I ran optimize battery under the battery settings menu.
It suggested I turn off mobile data :silly: very confusing if you ask me.
Seems like Emui has a major status bar flaw in it in this respect. When I turn mobile data off via the pull down quick toggle and also turn WiFi off. It still shows 4G LTE on status bar. I guess this is the issue!
Aida64 app shows that mobile data is disconnected when on WiFi. Still doesn't answer why 4G icon persists when mobile data and wifi is off though.
In Developer Options>~Networking~Mobile data always on~toggle
Tried that?
