Unbrick Option Redmi Note 8 Pro - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

I thought for sure I bricked my phone and thank goodness my phone was bootloader unlocked. My fast boot wasn't showing, my phone wasn't booting, and the only thing I had was my white charging light on top. Nothing was helping me from any sites. I did open the back of the phone (becareful the back is glass) and disconnected the battery and left it disconnected for 30 seconds. Plugged it back in and pressed the power and volume down. Looked at the screen and fastboot rabbit popped up. I proceeded to restore my phone via adb command and right now I am using the phone in perfect working condition besides a cracked battery cover. Hope this helps anyone else that bricked there phone.

DEAR I HAVE ALSO SAME PROBLEM Can you help me i pay you if you fixed my phone contact me +918935944681

My Desire appears to be broken

Went out jogging this morning, I use endomondo to track my progress and routes. However when I went to check my progress, the phone, which was in it's leather pouch, slipped out of my hand and onto concrete. When I took the phone out of the pouch to see if it was okay it appeared to be turned off I tried to switch it on but it wouldn't turn on. The led kept on flashing from orange to green. I then continuously kept pressing the power button on the phone, then the white welcome screen came on, which stayed on for a couple of seconds then switched off. I tried powering up the phone again but it wouldn't work.
When I got home I decided to charge it while I was out at work. I tried it again when I got back home from work and the phone still didn't switch on but the led's continue to flash orange/green constantly. I then took out the battery, sim and the memory card and left them out a few hours, then put them back into the phone and still nothing has changed. I am also unable to boot into boot loader mode.
I will take the handset into CPW tomorrow for repair, the phone is not marked or cracked in any way so I hope they don't realise it has been dropped. Now I am stuck with my old i8910 for now and it feels like I have gone 10 years back in terms of technology.
Sorry to hear about that.
It sounds like a hardware fault to me though. Have you tried booting it into 'safe mode' (Not recovery mode) and see if it starts up?
By safe mode do you mean by holding down the menu and power keys.? Sorry I'm not all that clued up on the tech in and outs of the Desire, if so then no. I have just tried booting into bootloader mode again and I get to that. But I am not sure where to take it from there.

Help unbricking HTC Desire

Hi, this is my first post so I will begin by thanking all of the people here that are providing free help.
My HTC Desire was not working, it's a T-Mobile UK handset. About 3 days ago the phone went dead, it turned on but showed a red T-Mobile ring and vibrated about 7 times. I could still go into the recovery mode by holding down the vol down and power.
What I did was I downloaded a T-Mobile RUU for the Desire which is this one, RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.15.110.11_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_122755.exe.
I first took it into the recovery mode then ran the update and it asked me to connect the phone, so I did and it started to update. Everthing went well until it go to around 20% and the bar would not go up anymore, it said it will take around 10 mins, I waited about 20 mins then disconnected the phone and the RUU installer went into some recovery mode and asked me to remove the battery and reinsert it then turn the phone on, so I did that and it started again but this time it was showing a HTC logo and 4 triangles on all corners of the screen.
I connected it again and it started to continue the update from where it left off but it stopped at 45%. I waited about 2 mins to see if it would go any higher but it did not so I disconnected the cable and took the battery out then reinserted it and now the phone does not even turn on.
Whenever I try to turn it on by using vol down and power button it doesn't turn on, if I try by holding the back button and the power button it still does not turn on. If I try to charge it, it will not charge, there is not lights, nothing.
What am I supposed to do?
Could someone please help me with this problem that I am having.
Thank you
Sorry but pulling the cable on a full system update is THE most stupid thing you could have done. And I see you waited for 2 minutes the second time.. that's just ridiculous. No more comments on that.
To help you, you have to have some sort of working software on it in order to fix it using usb, so you look quite screwed. So if pulling and reserting the bat. Doesn't help, there is not much you can do.
Only possible way would be is you could flash it directly via a j-tag port on the mainboard. I believe someone mentioned it once or twice but not heard much of it since.
Hey thanks for your input. I guess i'm gonna have to flash it with a j-tag cable.
I found a Riff Box that says it can unbrick the HTC Desire and unlock it. It's expensive though, do you think its possible to build a j-tag cable for the HTC Desire?

does anyone know where i can get a new motherboard?
i voided the warranty by doing the spring mod
or new screws with void stickers.
It's possible the battery is having problems, i doubt it though, it seems as though youve hard bricked your phone.
does anyone know where i can get the motherboard or better
OEM htc g2 screws with void stickers?

By the looks of things, any number of factors could be contributing to your Desires errors. However, it does seem like you've messed up the partitioning on the Desire Z internal memory and its giving you errors for it.
Try these steps.
1. Take the battery out and plug in your charger.
If the light doesnt come up try plugging your USB cable into your PC to charge.
If the light still doesn't come up your Desire Z is gone.
However, if the light does eventually come on, go to 2.
2. If any light comes up, then try turning it on.
If the screen turns on and you see ANYTHING besides black thats GOOD. go to 3
If the screen doesn't turn on there may be a motherboard issue.
3. Now if you can get it to turn on and not show black you should try this:
3a. Plug it into your PC then from there hold VOL DOWN and then navigate your way to Fastboot. It should say FASTBOOT USB or something like that.
3b. Flash a stable ROM onto your phone via your PC by going into recovery, mounting as storage then copying a ROM over. Then just flash the ROM onto your Desire Z and it should be fine.
If all this fails you should send it to a repair shop. There's no way you would get warranty to fix it at this point.
so ok i managed to get mini usb cable
When i conntected my phone to charger last night the orange battery light came on.
but nothing else.
when i clicked voulme down button then connected it to my computer it vibrated 5 times then green light came on.
And on my computer it showed up as Qualcom CDMA technologies MSM.
im searching everywhere to see if i can fix it. at this point any help would be appreciated.
I did notice that even though the phone wasnt turning on the phone was getting hot? (it wasnt connected to the charger obviously.)
when i did battery pull and leave it out it cools down. when i put it back in and turn it back on it gets hot after a while even though the screen and everything does not turn on.
Do this:
Pop out the battery and leave it for maybe 1 minute.
Then put the battery back in and see if the phone gets hot. If the phone does get hot skip passed 3 and 4.
Now assuming the phone doesn't get hot, plug it into your charger for about 5 minutes before turning the phone on. Try and get into Fastboot/Bootloader.
Once in your bootloader, just navigate your way to recovery and flash a new rom.
If the phone/battery gets hot it means its turned itself on as soon as the battery has gone and the phone isn't displaying anything. You should try just plugging the phone into the charger and turning it on. See if you get anything up on the screen. If you do then just jump into recovery and flash a rom.
Otherwise, if the screen always stays black regardless of what you do, send it in for repairs.

yea it stays black no matter what i do,, but it does get hot though.
Farout.. you should really send it to a repair shop then. The reason why is because you can't do anything to the device without the screen on. You can try and hope for it to boot into HBOOT but you would have better luck sending it off on Warranty or to a phone repairs place.

[Q] GNexus Not Booting

Sorry if this question's been answered in another thread, I tried searching and couldn't find any question that exactly matched mine, or any response that solved the issue.
I purchased a used, unlocked Galaxy Nexus from ebay around a month or two ago, in near perfect condition -- this has been the first time I've had any problems with it. It's probably not applicable, but after the release of the dev preview for Ubuntu phone OS I rooted the phone and reinstalled the factory image "takju 4.2.2 (JDQ39)".
Anyway, a few hours ago I accidentally bumped my phone off of a counter in the kitchen onto the tile floor. I picked it up and looked it over, and noticed no visible damage whatsoever, although the plastic cover had been partially dislodged; however, the phone's screen was dark, and the phone was unresponsive. I took out the battery and replaced it, then held down the power button. The phone vibrated once, like it normally did when booting up, but the screen remained black and the phone unresponsive unless I removed and reinserted the cover again.
I've tried charging it, plugging it into my pc, removing both the battery pack and the SD card, taking the battery out and rebooting it while holding both power buttons down, but I still get no response (and my computer doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in). After reading a post where someone had success reconnecting the display, I unscrewed and removed the casing, then disconnected and reconnected the display from the motherboard -- still nothing.
Is there anything else I can do, or is my phone beyond repair?
Did you check the other connections while you had the phone apart?

I opened it up again and took pictures, but I'm not very knowledgeable about this sort of thing, so I can't tell if anything's wrong or not. Should I remove the motherboard to get a better look at the display?
You're talking about the back cover which became dislodged upon impact? I'd say you're lucky that the phone still gives that vibrate. But it seems there are so many things that could go wrong from an impact. Do you have fastboot? [I know you said you tried holding down both volume buttons and power, but try pressing them first then tapping power.] If you don't have fastboot, then your only options would be omapflash and odin. If these do not work, it's gonna be hardware. Maybe the display is gone, if you get the vibrate but see nothing..

Phone died out of nowhere, is there anything I can do?

My stock Nexus 5x was working fine this morning. On my drive to work, the phone had 39% batter remaining (I forgot to charge it overnight), and I attempted to make a call over my car's built-in blue tooth. When the outgoing call failed a second time, I looked down at my phone and noticed the screen was black. I have tried holding the power button for various amounts of time but nothing happens. I've also tried charging the phone, in case the battery meter was out of calibration, but nothing seems to elicit any sign of life.
I recall from past mobile devices that there's a combination of buttons that can be pressed and held for so many seconds to force a reboot. Is there such a procedure for the 5x? I have some past experience with rooting phones, connecting them to my computer with Odin, ADB, etc. Is there anything I can try?
Thanks for any pointers, this sucks!
@Dirt_Bag: Hold Vol-, then press Power until the 1st screen. Then immediatly the base menu of bootloader appears. Good luck.

Thanks for the instructions but it's not working. My phone shows no signs of life... I should have all my photos backed up elsewhere, but in case I don't, is there anyway to access the internal storage?
@Dirt_Bag: maybe experts can read it. I've no idea.
Try pressing and holding the power button for at least 30 seconds.
My wife's Google Nexus 5x died yesterday too. Go to load recovery mode, and it does nothing. I can get into developer boot screen, but that's it... Nothing works.
had a friend's nexus 5x die in a similar way just a few days ago too. won't power on at all. not sure this is the bootloop issue, seems more like a battery thing. but no idea
Contact LG chat. Explain it to them and that you were told the warranty was extended to 30 months on the Nexus 5X. They'll have you put in a repair request. Takes about 2 weeks or so.
If you can get into bootloader but the phone WILL NOT boot into the OS.... it's a bootloop. If the device is hard dead, it's still part of the bootloop.
Bottom line... LG extended the Nexus 5X to a 30 month hardware defect warranty. You send in your phone, you'll get a new (hopefully revised) mainboard with your same IMEI.

Whenever I've received back my phone from repair the IMEI has been different.
Is IMEI important for CDMA networks?
