News: Appears that T variants are now added as compatible to experimental builds below. Completely untested by me. Just a heads up!
<Mod edit>

The latest version has been released in joshuous' experimental builds telegram. Flashed from EXKM on 10.0.6 EU and seems to be flying so far. Changelog below.
For OP7+ Variants
* This is a proof of concept build where I have not split out sched boost code from Walt code and disabled Walt. This will allow us to use pelt fully while continuing to use caf's powerhal.
Apologies to the mod who edited previously, i forgot about the link rule!

Works flawlessly for me. No issues whatsoever after a days use. And 50% battery remaining with 3 hours 40 mins screen on time. Never had that previously. No way near in fact.

6 hours on screen with stock kernel with 45
% remaining.
Nothing can compare to stock kernel.

anyway, i flashed it to check it out and see for myself... letting it settle in a few days then i'll see...
on another note, i did have an issue with DT2W but fixed it by enabling it in the OS but disabled it in EXKM now DT2W works perfectly. FPR also is working great!
Thanks!

Lol. Different usage dude. Can't compare your SOT to others. And obviously, you've watched a lot of video to get that SOT.

Nice! Let us know how you get on. I'm really enjoying it. I realised how my FPR was really bad on bluspark once I switched to this - you kind of go.... Oh yeah that's how it's supposed to work!
On battery usage it's obviously not for comparison to your own individual usage, I said it just for reference that I noticed a significant improvement given my typical usage. Milage will vary but I feel this is the best balanced kernel for me at this time, so sharing the find with others.

just installed it on my one plus 7t pro . Everything working fine as of now. I would like to give it some time to settle down and then report on battery life . The battery life is real bad on the 7t pro.

Not bad! its pretty good. as of today i have gotten about 4 hrs SOT (after removing it from charger) and still at 88% and I use it pretty heavily and on almost max brightness... i was also getting decent battery life on stock and other Kernels though so not 100% certain yet but seems to be pretty smooth with no real issues

Lets see what people say about this build in comparison or contrast to DMB6. DMB6 was a notable bump over prior builds which made it a must build on base...
Lets just wait this one out...
But I will say this... I have a three day weekend. And in a 3 day weekend... I have known to go on ROM benders and build like crazy
Added Rogers patch because its only a matter of time before someone asks
Do u flash the patch after flashing rom? Or do u reboot rom then flash patch?

I couldn't hold back and flashed DMC3 this morning.
My take,
Solid build f,sure....better then DMB6? Yes a tad , It feels more polished.
Transitions are a little smoother , Phones open a little bit more responsive ,battery life same.
Is build worthy of the CleanRom Touch? I think so.
What sucks is if Scott decides to run with it I have to rebuild mods lol

Yeah, I noticed the transitions smoothness myself. Its like almost, a slightly different fade affect.
But I like the fade a lot. Your right about being polished in that aspect.
As far as the phone... I have not decided on that yet because it could be the transitions masking the slow response. Have you turned them all down to 50% like I do and then test open speed?
If I decide to rebuild on this... Shouldnt be hard to port mods over. Should be relatively quick.
Not saying I am going to... But just saying in general
Lets give it one day on the new base and see what the early adopters say. I dont like to update bases any more than the next guy, lol

Oh yeah I gave it a work out adjusting transition speed , Multi window response etc.
Sammy found some minor flaws in DMB6 and made adjustments in DMC3 f,sure......great adjustments.
hmm their Senior management must be hardcore Note 2 owners , Ive never come across updates so strong.

Works pretty darn well actually. I don't really noticed a whole lot different other than smoothness. Can't test battery yet. Still too early. I haven't gotten any slow down yet.

Battery Life On XtreStoLite 2.1 (COF8)

Ever since I switched to this rom my phone has been so much quicker in terms of responsiveness. The animations are snappier too.
Battery life however has been what I liked most about flashing this rom (naturally ?). My Edge has been off the charger for nearly 20 hours with Bluetooth on the entire time for Android Wear and a weird snapchat wakelock that maintained a network connection for 5 hours. Screen time was over 4 hrs. Still at 10% as I type this.
Much much better than stock ?

Has anyone updated to xtrestoLite 2.2 with unikernel 6? I updated but feel as if 2.1 and unikernel 3 actual have me better battery life. I manage just about barely 4 hours currently without Bluetooth on. Btw how did you manage to get Google services so low that it doesn't even show up in your battery stats? Mine is constantly on to with around 30% usage.

Unlocked Phones: If you have unlocked your phone, you might run into problems with 5.1.1. There have been reports of phones stuck in a boot-loop when upgrading from 5.0.2 -> 5.1.1 when the phone has been unlocked or EFS/IMEI has been tampered with. Combine this with the new "FRP LOCK" (Factory Reset Protection) in 5.1.1, and you might find yourself with a complete brick with no warranty. This issue may or may not have anything to do with rooting or custom firmware

How did you accomplish this stats?? At best I can only manage 4 hours with unibade on 2.2, with most push notifications and toggles off.

Benchmark too low on custom ROMs.

Antutu benchmark is too low on zuk z2 custom roms ???
Lineage OS with its default kernel- 56k
RR-official - 113k
Lineage OS with UBERTC Kernel - 107k
Can anyone provide fix for this problem.
Tested in antutu 6.2.7.
I don't have that problem - get around 140k on LineageOS with default kernel. Did you do a full wipe before installing?
Why do you care about benchmarks?
Did, even formatted the data but still the same problem.
But this problem is not there on officially ROM.
Does this has to do something with antutu as antutu has some benchmark loss issues.?
Can anyone fix this problem?

is the phone really hot before you start the benchmark?
to get the best results the phone should be cold (like 30ºC or less) when you start the test. if you try to do a benchmark after another benchmark test, you'll only get worse results than the previous one due to thermal throttling. the same happens after you leave a game and try to do a benchmark.
getting less than 120k is really strange and I disagree with the guy that said "why do you care about benchmark" because getting 70k when you should be getting at least 120k shows a problem. Here on Lineage I was getting 144k with the device cold (24ºC) before the test.
Thought of that too, for that I kept the phone in fridge for some time to cool it down but still the max I could get was 114k.

No, I bought it from eBay.in and updated it to zui 2.3 on the same day then to zui 2.5.344 when the update was released.
On zui 2.5.344 it scores 134k.

Did you try to go back to stock with 1.9.044 qpst/qfil no miflash or something, update to latest, unlock bootloader again etc. and then try again with benchmarks?
Since OP isn't getting the point. Benchmarks DON'T MATTER. Why do you care about scores when your phone performs as expected. By complaining like this, you are just discouraging new users
Have a look on kernel adiutor and see what frequencies your CPU is getting. Also check if battery mode is set to Balanced. If not, set it and try again.

Maybe because benchmarks evaluate the performance of the whole system? If he's getting less than the half of the normal score another one gets, theres something not right with his system.
Oh.. oh.. oh.. yeah please dont post if you got problems, new users could be discouraged...

Not trying to be rude. The benchmarks are highly context dependent. They should ideally be done on a clean installation and on minimal installation. You can make some small changes while Compiling the kernel and benchmarks can be drastically changed even though actual real world performance doesn't seem to differ. And there are already too many users judging custom ROMs by the benchmarks. I've seen first hand how many users are reluctant to use kernels coz someone complained about benchmarks even though they loved the kernel later. That's all I meant. And before you think I'm a forum troll, please so check that I actually help our people and contribute to development too
Reverted back to zui 2.5.334 then benchmarked the phone, 134k. Updated the baseband(2.0.c1.9) then again did the test with same scores. After that installed the latest official RR ROM (090517) with darkmoon kernel v3 longtap then benchmarked again but still the same results.
Gonna try with official rr's stock kernel today, then will report.

No offence, these were only clear words for your post which help the threadstarter in no case. In first post he said 56k on lineage with default kernel and that's not normal.
Yes, he could do something wrong. But he open the thread to find a solution or whats the mistake of this low benchmarks.
I think everyone would worry about if he gets 56k and others >140k. Wouldnt you think that theres something wrong with your phone?
So help find the error/mistake but with "live with that" you do not

Reverted back to zui 2.5.334 then benchmarked the phone, 134k. Updated the baseband(2.0.c1.9) then again did the test with same scores. After that installed the latest official RR ROM (090517) with darkmoon kernel v3 longtap then benchmarked again but still the same results.
Gonna try with official rr's stock kernel today, then will report.

134K is perfectly normal. That's how much I was getting on RR with stock clocks. OC I'm getting 154K. Also darkmoon v3 is a very good kernel. Tested it with no problems. Remember that a clean flash is always best.
Not on official RR, only 113k with darkmoon kernel

What do you think it is? I'm using the same ROM an kernel ans don't have battery issues. Maybe an app causing the drain? Flash RUU to see if it happens stock.
I had this problem, no matter what ROM kernel I used on both Nougat and Oreo. I replaced to battery and no more problems.
You know the HTC Diagnostic Guide App? (*#*#3424#*#*)
Well I tried to get a replacement battery by using the warranty.
So I tested the battery test on both, stock nougat and stock oreo.
Nougat was 96% after the test while oreo was already by 86%!
Sadly it has to be below 70%...

I don't know how this test is working. But since I needed these numbers for the support chat, I took this comparison.
Everything else I made is not really comparable.
But the drain es exactly why I am in contact with the support.
Everyday I get up, eat, play a little game, every time the same time, put music on ears and drive to university.
All in all about 20min SOT and 1h10min music playing, mainly screen off.
Before Oreo I was able to get over the day, after the mentioned time, I had way over 70% left, can't exactly say how much.
Since Oreo it was below 70% and I needed to recharge midday, when it already dropped below 50%.
I don't like the Idea of replacing the battery right now...
Maybe we will get another firmware update soon.
But checking other forums, Samsung S8(+) for example, they have similar problems. But many even say it better than on nougat.
Ist there any News About a filmware Update? I almost Cant Use the phone without having a Powerbank in my pocket
Don't really know, but it seems at least a security update is coming:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-10/how-to/unlocked-htc-10-update-updated-s-t3376329/page107
All of this happened to me six months ago. I was on stock MM (rooted, S-off). I went crazy studying Better Battery Stats and trying everything. At first it would go down do 50% after maybe an hour of Sot, then 30%.
Then I just started using it plugged in all the time and I couldn't get it above 20%.
Took it to someplace (like Ubrreakifixit or whatever) had battery replaced for ~$100 (which sucked), but that was the problem.
Just an FYI to OP and anyone else... I didn't want to believe it was the battery for a month and tried all other options.
But it's the battery.

It's not a firmware issue because every one on the same firmware would be experiencing it. Have you flashed a RUU yet to see if this all happens on stock? If so it's a hardware failure.

Install Elemental X kernel and disable Touchboost on kernel auditor

Havoc vs Pixeldust - which is better

Hi,
I'm looking to move from Stock ROM of P2XL to some CUSTOM ROM. I see that Havoc and Pixel Dust are great.
But the question is, which is better in terms of battery&Magisk hide?
I'm having troubles with Magisk Hide on STOCK so I would think to move on the custom one.
Also I don't play games, so I do not need high performance.

If you're looking an improvement, if any, in battery life, your best bet would be stock + kernel. Not much from custom roms these days with speed or battery as it's just down to customization nowadays. Google seems to know what's best for their own product for optimization. It's tough for one person to optimize something better than a company with many coders, testers, and resources working on a product that they made themselves.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply
I know that the stock ROM is the best option available, but I'm having trouble with Snapchat/GPay as they've stopped working.
Snapchat is constantly banning me as they say that I'm rooted. That's why I'm looking for a good custom ROM
But as the @blaaaazedup said, what's the best kernel in your opinion?
Regards,
Vortuks

ElementalX by flar2. His work has been around for years and knows his stuff, just like Franco. I'm a bit hesitant to try kernels from new developers as I've seen many make a couple of patches and stop while flar has a proven track record.

Do you use GPay on a March Update?
I have a problem with that, as the GPay says that I've altered my device in someway(rooted/unlocked bootloader).
I'll try stock(March update) with Magisk Canary.

I use GPay but I have been using locked - unrooted for about a year now. When I was last unlocked, safetynet passed with ElementalX on my OG pixel

Thanks, I'll try Havoc as they seem more reliable(to me).
Also, thanks for your participation in this thread.

This. I feel exactly the same way, but at the same time, both the kernels you named have their own apps specifically for their kernels, so it makes the user experience better as well. Other than that, it just works, lol.

I was using stock+rooted for a long time and noticed the SafetyNet was failing, so I just recently switched the DU and now it's passing the SafetyNet no problem.
But really, there isn't much to custom roms nowadays besides a bit more customization. My favorite would probably be the bottom brightness in the QS page.
