Hi guys!
After two years i ordered a new battery via AliExpress from China. Description and look of the battery was all fine, i thought it was a similiar and original battery!
But after changing it i had two issues:
1. The battery seems to drain very fast, but i could use the phone for almost 12 hours with 1%
2. Dash Charging is no longer working
So my question(s): Do i have to set something new on my phone? Maybe clear Cache or something else? Are there any guides to reset or calibrate a new battery?
Or do i simply have to buy another one which works fine?
Thx a lot for your help
maybe you buy battery copy not original

Its the same, but I get referral points.
I recently ordered their extra capacity battery. I works fine in the Prophet, but the battery levle shows -1%? The battery seems to charge ok, but i can't see what is the level, as -1% is really not possible.
Anyone else have this problem?
Test results?
That's an amazing price.
It would be nice if you can post more experiences with this battery.
As far as I know, Dynapack doesn't produce 1800mah battery.
But more important is how it behaves....
I also bought one
I'm waiting it to arrive my hands..1800mAH will be good if it works.
If it doesn't, 5 $ is nothing.

So it doesn't work in your Prohet?
@tjohnso1
Is there a real advantage of the higher capacity?
I can't tell whether there is an improvement or not, as the unit does not recognize the battery, or the level of the battery, i cannot tell how long it lasts.
I left this new battery in the unit during last night, and this morning the unit would not turn on. I put the original battery back in, and it worked fine.
I did not have time to check whether the new battery was just discharged or whether there was a problem.

There is already a thread about this?
Recently ordered one battery from Dealextreme.
The battery (1800mAh) on my M600 is working fine. Apparently they received a new batch of batteries without the -1% charge issue.
And, for $5 is a real deal...
UPDATE (2008-03-09): Don't let this battery to fully drain or you will lost your battery. After a full drain the battery doesn't charge anymore.
May be you could found something in this site, the price are also very cheaper...

I got mine 2500mAh battery from DX yesterday ( sku.23987 for 8.64$) - which I looked towards too..
But its about twice as thick than the original, so I never changed it even to test it..but i thought that at least it could be a good backup for travelling, but after reading this I'm getting scared that i just vasted my money and hope for a good batery..
just bought a t-mobile dash used, phone was unmodded running the stock t-mobile rom. i flashed it to kavana 6.1 recently and i have been getting really bad battery life. like the phone wont even last throughout the whole day with basic usage, few phone calls and light texting. wifi just drains my battery in a matter of minutes. also my battery meter seems to be inconsistent like itll say i have 65% then when i reboot the phone it shows that i have 20% left. im running radio 4.1.13.51_.03.07.90
hey i had the same problem, and i went to a 2200mah battery. its a lot bigger than the original one and it comes with a new cover. if u dont mind the size u should check it out im lovin it. by the way try overclocking it if you havent done it yet.
wouldnt overclocking it drain more battery?

Remember the dash is a 3 years old phone, even if you get a new phone at this point the battery it's the same age...so imagne if you get a used phone. I will recommend you to buy a new battery, I had the same issue...but I bought a new battery and problems solved
So are the replacement batteries just as old as the phone? How do you know your not buying one that has sat on the shelf for 3 years. I'm asking because I am almost to the point to where I need a new one.
I had 2 discouraging experiences on buying battery for my wife's dash in ebay. The 2 batteries appeared brand new but could not hold the charge. After few phone calls and email synch both batteries just drained outreal quick dropping from 100% to 60% right away and bad thing was that the phone turned off by itself. So I decided to call T-Mobile and recommended me to buy at HTC Accessories 1-888-716-3594. The new attery from HTC is way better and no issues so far. Price $29.99 + shipping.

I have bought 2 batteries and both have been ok ,. I bought 1050 mAh (the grey ones) "For CHTCS620OLIO1" made in china, I Know they are been sold in ebay pretty cheap (960 mAh) but I bought them in here http://www.batteryship.com/htmlos/h...tml?item=EXCA160&model=HTC+S620&adsrc=yo273-1 since you get a warranty for at least of 1 year and a little bit more long lasting battery. When I do refer 3 year old phone and battery is the actual original battery that comes with the excalibur.
my friend just got a used dash stock everything but he got a new battery and charger takes 5 hours to charge then dies in 2 hours any suggestions?

What was he doing in that 2 hours? Was he using wifi, texting, or talking expansively during that time?
With Incubus' release of Super Froyo I have a fast and complete build of Android. The only thing that is putting a damper on the experience is the battery life. I have two recently purchased 1350amh batteries but neither seem to be able to keep a charge in Android. They both jump from 100% to 15% with about 10 mins of use. Plugging the phone in recharges the batteries too quickly. Charging the battery in Winmo on my other handset seems to give me a little more juice but only after multiple reboots, battery removals, and quick charges. I have tried Millence suggestions using 2000 in my nbh and sysinit.rc but the problems persist with both batteries. I am now wondering if maybe I damaged the batteries with all my mucking around. My question then is does the 2800amh extended battery work any better in Android than the stock 1350amh. The default setting is 2700amh in almost every build I have used and I am wondering if I were to purchase the greater capacity battery all of these problems would go away.
Sorry I can not answer your question about Froyo, but I have the extened battery in my phone (since even in WM the stock battery was useless!), in previous builds I would get about 12 hours use before it died, I have now had this running for 1 day and 3 hours and I now have 35% left, if I can eak this out to 2 days, this will be half my WM battery life
I have made no adjustments to settings and I am running from the SD card.

The new batts werent off ebay were they and say lith polymer instead of lith ion !!
I had a similar experiences in the past with cheap batteries of ebay, actually you find many naughty sellers used to get new lables made stating slightly higher mah.... again in my experience this was naughty german sellers.
Every battery ive got that says lith polymer died after 3 months and never held a full charge, get a proper lithium ion one instead.

Sorry I don't know, I bought the phone 2nd hand and it came with the phone.
I purchased a really cheap extended battery about a month and a half ago on amazon and it practically doubled my battery life for a while. Now for some reason its no where near that performance and will only last me a day or so. I already wiped my battery stats, but no luck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
OMG ONLY A DAY?! YOU POOR THING!
No really though. Maybe it's an app you've downloaded recently. Do a full wipe If a full day of battery life just isn't good enough for you.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Any of the ext batteries good??
May I ask what the battery was? I got a really cheap one off amazon that is supposedly 3500mAh, but it only has a slight difference in charge time =/
Hey,
I got the same extended battery off amazon, it works amazing, anyways there are several things that could be causing this issue:
1. Like someone posted before me check your apps, see whats running. Make sure to look out for the new ones because it might be running in the backround where even the task killer cant reach and killing your batter D:
2. Are you using gps 4g or any other features like that?
3. If you are rooted did you just flash a new rom? because with different roms you will get many different factors that effect your batt, with MIUI I would get over a day on the standard battery, and on sense roms il get maybe only half a day.
4. Those cheap batts are made for little and sold at little from China, so the quality isnt always the best, and it might be time to get a new one!
Hope I helped! and I hope you find a solution! good luck!

Since this a very old post, I'm sure that you've already resolved the issue. It has been my experience that while L-ion batts don't have a memory, their ability to take a charge can be affected by inadequate initial charges and NOT running them totally dead, at least once in a while. Whereas wiping battery stats will help the phone's OS to ensure maximum charge and usage, the battery still needs to go through a full cycle.
I hope that I'm not wearing you out with crap you already know. (Let's just assume that someone else needs this information, too).
Now to get REALLY nerdy:
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_lithium_ion_batteries
Read that if you really want to understand L-Ion batteries.
Then, you could just have a really cheap or bad battery pack. BTW, what's that brand again? I'm about to buy one myself...LOL.
My battery life has started to go down so I'm thinking to change the battery in the coming year or so, according to accubattery I'm at 97% health (5,120mAh/5,300mAh), but I'm experiencing rapid battery drain all of a sudden.
There are tutorials to open N1's and I've changed batteries on iPad minis, so I'm ok there.
The question is, has anyone found a good quality aftermarket battery? Is it possible to get an OEM one?
