4170 mAh battery. Is this common for the Sprint variant? - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hi all! Specs say 4300 but AccuBattery is reporting 4170. Is this normal or should I exchange it for another and hope for 4300?

Accubattery is just giving a best guess. There's no variants of battery size that i'm aware of, other than natural variations of a few mA

From personal experience with previous phones the batteries you get from samsung within -5% to +5% of the advertised value. It's a lottery.

The early reviews had the 10+ with a 4170 battery. Anyone have a 4300?

I don't want to order from another country which the shipping cost would be more than the battery price!

The battery is EB484659VU original Samsung Li-Ion Battery (1500mA)
Models it fits are Samsung i8150 Galaxy W, i8350 Omnia W, S5690 Galaxy Xcover, S8600 Wave 3 & YP-GS1 Galaxy S
Finally could found its original one.
But it's price equals with price of a new feature phone!(about 15$)

The battery is way to expensive..
check the one in my signature, 7$ free shipping from China
can't tell whether it's significantly better than stock one (cause my stock one has degraded completely) but it feels nice

But a feature phone is hardly a comparable substitute for a Galaxy W.
For safety's sake i'd always recommend buying genuine Sammy batteries - even if they do have a shorter lifespan than we all rightly expect.

Posible another model is Wave 3 S8600 :good:
I just ordered a Gold Battery 2450 mAh. People say that in comparison to the original model the Gold one lasts twice as long. Can't tell if it's safe, stable and everything, but 16$ is an affordable price for me.

Looks like this confirms that its the same OMAP 3630 that was in the 4 year old Moto Actv . Maybe android wear is lightweight enough to get by with such low processing power.

yeah... the battery bit is not cool... we should definitely raise a stink about it. It's one thing to use outdated hardware, it's another to claim one thing but provide the other.
Anyone have an idea of who we can contact at motorola? I think the blogosphere should really raise this issue to more light.
If no one opened up the watch, we would have never known.

i am sure what you are calling a failure moto is calling a success.
a failure is an amazon phone now costing 99 cent within a few weeks of its launch.
( response to 300 vs. 320 from moto)
Update:*Here's Motorola's statement on the matter:
The typical battery capacity for Moto 360 is 320 mAh and the minimum is 300 mAh. In the mobile industry, sometimes both the minimum and typical capacity is listed on the battery, with the typical capacity quoted as the official battery size. Both figures are included on the batteries of our Moto X, Moto E and Moto G devices. In the case of smaller devices, we aren’t always able to list both figures. For Moto 360 we only had room for one figure and choose to list the minimal capacity of the battery. We see how this can be confusing and we will look into ways to add the typical capacity as well in the future.

To cut costs, probably. The engineering team evidently had a very tight budget.
I assume they had some in storage from MotoActv or a phones (Droid 2 I think) that it was sunk cost already. So the processor was in effect free. By the time they run out, the overall cost of the watch will have gone down and throwing a new processor won't affect the profit margin. Maybe they plan to limit Moto 360 V1 to just building the amount they have chips laying around. Then use something new in V2.

I highly doubt they're calling it a success yet. At best, they've sold a couple tens of thousands of units, and I'd be surprised if it's not a lot less. Personally, I live in a US city with a population around a million, and so far they've delivered precisely two watches here.

Somebody in marketing did a good job of dancing around the truth with that one.
a) There's clearly plenty of room to write both numbers on the battery without even reducing the font size.
b) Web pages don't have a length limit. If they were being honest, they'd have written both numbers on the website, or only the smaller one, not the one that's untruthful.

Yes, I know. Ditto.

battery life

I watched a review on youtube of the note10 not the plus.. And the SOC was only 3 to 4 hours max which concerns me about the note 10 plus... I hope it's more then the note 9?
Using the Note10+ 9825 version. Lasts me as long as my previous phone which was S10+.
However, it still is learning my usage patterns. Results may vary in future (2 weeks).
Can't say battery here is bad, but it's not great either. Bear in mind I'm using a pretty raw version of the firmware.
I wouldn't worry about the snapdragon version. My buddy sent me this. They're getting about 8-10hrs with LTE and mixed usage.
Gonna share my usage details too (tmrw) so you would know what to expect from daily usage.
You have to give it time. I found with my S10 plus that my battery was horrible at first. I know this because I had to swap my phone, essentially, 5 times because of the LTE issue. Each swap the battery sucked for the first week or so then it evened out. Just be patient. [emoji16]

I used S10+ 9820. Note 10+ with 9825 heats noticeably less. The only heavy load for me was an hour of tes blades and it wasn't that hot. However, playing the same game on S10+ didn't cause much heat either.
But it's free to state that in daily usage Note10+ feels cooler than S10+.
Battery life seems pretty identical.

per the screenshot, this sucks. Its the same as My Note 9. I understand the screen is bigger by about 6.25% but I would expect better not just because the battery is bigger (7.5%) but because the cpu is smaller with 7nm vs 10, and better software. I'll cross longer battery life as a reason of just a few to upgrade.

Can't tell for your country. In Russia some people who preordered it will get it on Agust 16th. What I know for sure, most of the stores around the globe have them already in stock but selling or giving them out is strictly prohibited.

So, here's my battery result for Monday.
I'm using the 9825 version.
The device was removed from charging pod at 11:30~ p.m. yesterday, the screenshot was taken today at 8:15 p.m.
Resolution set - WQHD +, brightness outdoors - around 70%, indoors - 40%, the night mode wasn't applied throughout the whole day. AoD has been working since 7 a.m. up to the point of taking the screenshot.
Wi-Fi had been working from 11:30 p.m. until 8:50 a.m. LTE has been working for the whole day without disabling. Bluetooth and Poweramp - 1 hour 35 minutes. I used NFC for a couple of times to make a payment. Rest of the usage is messengers, browsing, social networks, etc.
The adaptive period (2 weeks) has not passed yet, the device discharged for 6% during the night. I didn’t do any hardcore configurations nor disabled any applications or services. Almost stock experience settings wise, however, I have around 500~ apps installed including system ones.

I worked inventory at Best buy for a few years and Everytime a new Samsung phone would launch we would receive them in batches around 2 to 3 weeks before the launch date. iPhones on the other hand wouldn't be received by us until a day or two before the release in massive deliveries. They most likely already have them if not they will be receiving them very soon they just can't sell them since they won't even appear in the POS system.

Reconfig Adguard to make it eat less battery. Just disable filter apps like Social, Messaging, Google Apps ... Think about the apps you don't need to filter it
Battery life is a combination of literally hundreds of factors. Comparing battery life is a meaningless process except in controlled situations.
One person can get great battery and another person a few feet away can get crap on the same model phone.
How much you use your phone (based on AI tuned optimizations), what apps you have on your phone, the brand of WiFi router you have, the color of your shirt, the brightness in the room, how cloudy of a day it is, how often you enter and exit a building, and on and on can make small impacts on your battery that add up to your total battery life. It is impossible to replicate or compare in the real world.

As a person who recently (and I mean very recently) picked up the Pixel 2 XL 128GB - Google Store Edition for 120 dollars, I would jump on it if the phone was not manufactured in '17. One way to check this is through an IMEI check service. I have one manufactured in Q2 '18 and it works peerfectly, no issues with the display or battery at all. I felt bad for buying it for so cheap due to the fact that an older gentleman was selling it, and the phone was basically brand new with no wear or scratches. I'm currently rooted, but that is only for Adblocking and a couple other small tweaks.
I feel like the guy who sold it never really used it because AccuBattery reports the battery has 98 percent of overall health left. I would check everything before you purchase however.
Mine was made on the 21st of Dec 2017, not any screen issues that I can see and the battery is decent for a 2.25 year old phone
I bought mine directly from Google. It was mfg in Oct 2017. The Battery is still showing 72% and I use it a lot every day and charge overnight. I keep looking at the new models as they come out but haven't seen a reason to change. Not rooted and running Android 10. I am happy I jumped ship from Samsung in 2017.

I would say it is.
Mine has a somewhat old battery in it and still gets 6 hours SOT in the right conditions. It is very fast still, pretty much never lags noticeably.
Screen is good on mine, no weird issues that were reported at launch.
My only gripe is the lack of headphone jack and the mobile connectivity is on the poor side for me, but it could be worse

Should I buy Exynos S20 at 600€?

Is 600€ a good price for a new S20 Exynos, considering the downsides it has? Would you buy it?
The only "downside" if we are comparing it to the snapdragon version is the battery life, which is really not that good, and the gaming preformance. Otherwise, my s20+ exynos has not slowed down a bit since i bought it, it preforms like a champ.
I don't know who told you the battery life is bad on exybis but it's simply not true I've had my S20 for 2 weeks now and the first day I got 5h30 sot with 120hz now I get between 6-7 hours every time and on 60hz I get 8-9 if that is bad battery then I don't know what good battery is

The gaming performance is good at the beginning, as you play longer and when the phone heats up, it gets laggy.
I experienced this on pubg mobile and call of duty mobile.
You'll have to take ambient room temperature into account as well.. Im from a country near equator with temperatures up to 36degrees in the afternoon.
When the phone heats up, take a break, let the phone rest.. And play again 15 minutes later. It's not good for health to keep playing games continously anyway.

I had an s20+ exynos 4G which i sent back after 2 weeks. Yes, battery life and heat issues are really bad especially on mobile data and on wi-fi. 600€ it's kind of cheap. I spent on it 999€ when i pre-ordered. After that I bought s20+ snapdragon and I'm very happy with the switch. The performance it's way better on the same money and one year extra-warranty.
