I have Googled the **** out of this question and can't find an answer even though it seems ridiculously simple:
I want to make the DEFAULT alarm app a DIFFERENT app than the one that comes stock with Android. Is that possible? I can't figure it out and every other forum I look at where someone asks a similar question does not have the answer. I'm going CRAZY. Help!
Ever find an answer? I've been looking as well.
Try deleting the stock clock and add a different alarm app

I was having the same problem and found a way around it. I use Timely, however whenever I use "OK Google" it would use the default Clock application on my 6P instead of Timely. I fixed this by going to Settings > Apps > Clock. Then I tap the Disable button. Android ask if I wanted to revert to the default app, and I selected OK.
The next time I used "OK Google" to set an alarm, it asked me to set Timely as the default.
Is there any way to use Evernote instead of Google Keep as the default note taking app? I know some of you will hate on Evernote but I've been using it since before Google Keep came out and have all my devices synched to it so its just easier to keep using it.
I've read somewhere that you just launch Evernote from the watch launcher and say to use that as default or something but I have no idea how to launch an app from the watch directly (its not in my Wear Mini Launcher drawer).
Just got my watch today so still learning how to use it
Open Android Wear app. Scroll down to Take a Note and tap it once. Choose which app to use, Evernote or Keep.

Thank you, this is something I've already tried but I do not get Evernote as an option. Im using Nexus 4 running KitKat.
EDIT: I was being an idiot, I didn't know there was a separate Evernote for Android Wear app that I had to install. Did that and all working now. Cheers!

You can still use the watch without the ZenWatch manager... Honestly, you're not missing much. All you need to use the watch is the Android wear app to connect it to your phone. You can probably side load the ZenWatch manager though, but I don't have the apk the pm you. Maybe someone online will post it somewhere. Either way, the watch isn't useless without it. I have most of the features in the ZenWatch manager turned off anyway because they are battery hogs.
I agree. You don't really need it as long as you have access to android wear app.
I use zenmanager for customization of watch faces. But the watch is pre-loaded with faces. The manager just allow you to add different features ie, weather, steps etc.
But there are a lot of other watchfaces programs on google play.
The other feature I use was to cover my watch to avoid interruption if I am busy. But I think there are 3rd party programs that does the same.
I do use wellness manager to check my heart rate which works great.
I think you can do well with all just 3rd party programs.
Hi mate:
do you still need this apps? one friend on this blog send them to me (Asus Zenwatch Manager and Wellness app), if you are still lokinf for them tell me and I will send it to you

none yet, already asked the developers for assistance, they will provide fix on the next upgrade of Zenwatch manager.
there's an update on the Zenwatch Manager app.
Three new watch faces are available, Minimalist, Gravity, and Lateral.
- Auto save customized watch face background images of Vigor and Lateral, you can choose your previous background images.
- New watch face settings, weather sync frequency, and watch screen timeout.
- Color theme setting on the watch.
- Remove Christmas style.
- Fix cover to mute bug.
- Other bug fixes.

Too bad I still can't change the backgrounds on the watch with my Note 4. I've even tried apps like Facer etc. and everything fails/crashes/or resets whenever I try to use a custom background. It's mildly infuriating.
Same issue - Zenwatch Manager App - not available in my location
I know I'm not missing out on much, but I'd like to use the app anyway. Anyone still having this same issue? Is there a place other than mediafire to get the .apk?

I just bought/received my ZenWatch 2 today (2016 Feb 03), loaded the ZenWatch manager and Android Wear software. However the Manager app was saying "disconnected" and showing dashes for battery level/storage space. I also could not configure any faces and have it send it to the phone. So, I uninstalled it and installed the version shown here by "CSX321" which worked because it showed "connected" and the battery level and storage but appears to have less features. I wanted the latest version to work so badly I upgraded it after this version and it worked! Yay!
So perhaps install the version by "CSX321" first and then do the upgrade to get Zen Manager working correctly.
I have a Nexus 6 with Pure Nexus rom running on it.
I just got a pixel XL and it is running pie. I am getting full screen ads all the time which I have never seen before is this just normal for the stock room. How in the heck do I either kill or remove this as it is very annoying. It should I just run a custom rom.
The only way that can happen is if you granted the ads permission to operate by maybe installing an app. Check your app list. Any app that looks suspicious uninstall it. And by suspicious I mean no logo or weird name or maybe it's an app you just don't remember installing.

Yeah I found the offending culprit and took it out not sure how it got installed but it did. It was disquised as a music player thanks for the reply
Is there a way to possibly set a song as an alarm preferably an mp3 file rather than using the stock ringtones? I'm down to download alternative app alarms if they have this function.
Yes, there is an app in the store "Alarm with custom ringtones". I use it on my Gear S3. After I don't know the availability for countries and Galaxy model because this is really strange on the Samsung world.....
