My, 2 years old, A3 2017 is suffering from battery drain
My A3 suddently started to suffer from batttery drain while in standby : phone remains midly hot, but CPU Spy report 60%+ in Deep Spleed
Just discovered battery drain also occurs while phone OFF
I've charded my phone to 100% while off then unplug it and wait 10-12hours: battery was only 40%
What could cause battery drain while phone Off ?
Not sure replacing the battery will solve such problem...
In my opinion, the battery is definitely the problem itself and you should look forward to replacing it.

Meanwhile anybody else had faced that problem ?
Any new idea other than buying a new phone ?

my phone is ARC S
most of times when battery percent is about %40 suddenly the low battery message appear and show %1 and phone shut down .
i'm sure it's not %0 battery problem (double checked with log and this forum guys!)
and tried most of roms and kernels and no different .
is it from battery and shoud i change it ?
try this battery calibration app. if still same problem occurs, maybe it's really the battery itself got problem.
I personally always do calibration of battery whenever I switched ROM.

I think so too.
Battery calibration apps offer a satisfying placebo effect on battery life.
But when battery acts this weird, you need something more than a placebo.
First you do a Repair with SEUS and if the problem persists, it's most probably hardware related.
If one of your friends has an Arc, you can exchange batteries for a day, to make sure that your battery is actually faulty before buying a new one.
Last but not least, if you do buy a new battery, it'd better be an original one.
Don't trust cheap eBay knockoffs!
Good luck!
Had that once, charging it fixed it

do you mean changed it ?
No, I came home and charged it and never had the problem again.
But mine dropped from ~40% to 29% not to 0% like yours did.

Check if its bloated. If you can't see it well, take out your battery, put it on a table and spin it. If it spins for more than 15 seconds, then it is bloated. You will want to change it. And yes, we will require a screenshot of your battery usage

Don't take that as being 100% correct.
I have had batteries reported as healthy when in fact they were starting to show the smallest amount of bloating and starting to fail, which caused fast discharge and other problems like rebooting when forcing the camera flash, sudden drops in battery charge level etc etc...

It´s all your battery programms draining your battery. Yes they are draining battery too and if you need so much programms, don´t wounder your battery is drained so fast.
So rather than using all that battery apps better check what else is draining your battery.
sorry for late reply, but thanks for all of your suggestions..
gonna post the battery usage sooner when i got 10 post

My battery life is in the GARBAGE after lollipop uodate. Is this a known issue that verizon is aware of and working on ? I'm hardly getting 8 hours on a full charge that was giving me 16 last week. I'm not seeing anything crazy in battery usage section . Is there something that was cut on in 5.0 I need to disable ?

Is that a code word for something or do you mean just physically pull the battery out and put it back in

My battery use got better right after I pulled the battery. Before, I was losing battery charge much faster than before the Lollipop update. The screen shot shows the immediate improvement in the battery use curve at about 10:30 am.
My Lg G3's battery was never that good but now it is horrible.
I'm running Fulmics ROM 4.2 at the moment but i've used others as well.
I use Greenify to improve it but i still have a maximun of 2-3 hours screentime.
There's not an app that's really draining my battery.
Is my battery just broken? Any help?
I reach five and more hours without any problem, so i think you should replace your battery
