Same issue I HAD.
I purchased a LG G7 thinQ off of Craigslist.
Everything was fine minus the back glass being completely cracked and shattered.
I went on eBay and purchased the back glass with the finger print scanner and camera lens included, as well as a new battery (since I was already going to be inside the phone).
Completed the task, charged to 100 with phone off. Two days later as I left for vacation, the battery went from 17% to 10% then it shut off. I couldn't get it to take a charge, at all. So I messaged the eBay battery seller and had him send me a newer one. The previous battery date was 11-02-2018.
Once I got back into town, I opened the new battery and the date was 06-05-2019.
So far so good! I'd suggest watching YouTube and getting a heatgun or hairdryer.

I was in between it being a battery issue or the charging port itself. My back screen is cracked as well I habe always had a case on it but maybe with it being cracked with the humidity moisture has got to the battery???

up
I have the same problem too, it started after upgrade to android pie

Still some life...Maybe?

Ok guys. I grabbed my phone today cause I'm gonna put it up for sale as parts. When I picked up the phone I noticed it was hot like it had been getting used heavily. Nothing would turn on so I put it down. 5 minutes later I heard the start up sound. Still nothing. Then a minute ago I connected it to the charger and with the battery out, the front touch keys flash. With the battery in, it does nothing.
Could there be some life left in this g pro after all? maybe the charging board needs to be changed out or something along with the LCD?

[Q] DOA

Watch has set on the charger for about 4 hours now, and I haven't had a vibrate or screen turn on at all. The charger light on the charging unit turns on, but nothing from the watch at all. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm about to call moto and get it sorted through a probable replacement. Sort of annoyed that the QC is this bad.
Just a couple of quick questions:
(1) I know you said DOA, but I just wanted to clarify that is has never worked, or worked for a little while, then didn't work?
(2) When mine arrived, it had 37% charge and for some reason it didn't charge the first time I plugged the charger in. The light came on, but it wouldn't charge. Strangely enough, I unplugged it from the wall and plugged it back in and then it started charging. I'm not sure why, but just in case you haven't tried that yet, I would try that. I may even have used a different plug.
Make sure it is fully seated in the charger. Is there any warmth on the back of the watch when you remove it from the charger?

There is. With the stock charger, it is warm to the touch and the feeling fades with time off the charger.

As in DOA, meaning I took it out of the box and attempted to power it on with no vibration, screen lighting or any other form of feedback to indicate it was on. I have tried it with both the stock charger and a charger I use with my M8 that has a higher amp output.
Mine was the same way, totally dead out of the box. But after sitting in the charger for 20 minutes it finally turned itself on and so far seems fine. Maybe yours was just too dead to recover from.
I actually thought mine was DOA as well. Even left it charging overnight with no signs of life. It turns out that I was not pressing the power button hard enough. Once I REALLY pressed the button in for 3+ seconds, it powered right up! Haven't had that issue since then, and the power button now seems to register normal presses just fine.

I just tried this as well, and had no luck. I think I will call Moto tonight and get this resolved once and for all.
On the one I bought this morning I thought it was DOA until I peeled the plastic circle off the back and placed it on the charger. Did you take the plastic off?

That I did. Called Motorola support and they will be sending me a new one. Will see if the condition changes before the new one gets here though. It's still sitting on the charger and still getting warm to the touch.

Just to give some final closure for anyone in the future, I recieved the replacement today, and it works just as intended. I think the issue with my other one was that the power switch itself was faulty, as this watch has a much more noticeable firm 'click' when I press it (The other one just sort of softly clicked.) Replacement was sent overnight, and arrived working out of the box. With that said, and after customer service messing up not just the email address, but also my name, I would say that Motorola's support is quite shoddy at best. I just hope they actually reverse the charge on my account for the replacement watch.
I just want to add to this thread, this is exactly the issue I'm seeing with my brand new Moto 360. Just purchased from Best Buy. Took it out of the box, held the power button (as the instructions say) and nothing. I plugged the charger in, unplugged, replugged, etc, no dice. The light on the charger lights up and the watch gets warm. I've let it charge for over an hour, and still have yet to see anything on the screen. The button "clicks" when I press it as opposed to the OP's issue. I guess I'll just take it back and exchange it, just hope this is not the norm with this device.

Screen is "black"

Hello!
I hope somebody can help me, I tried to solve the problem by myself but I ran out of ideas what could be wrong. So to start with, i have replaced a cracked screen with a new one(lcd+digitizer). Everything was working fine after assembly, so I gave the phone back to the customer. Yesterday after 3 weeks of usage, he came back claiming that the screen isn't working anymore and that sometimes the screen was black and the other second was working. So I gave a look, but the screen was working(suddenly again), only the colours were a bit funky(probably the screen flat cable is the problem or?) So I opened the phone but nothing was wrong with the cables. I also cleaned the connectors with air if there was maybe some dust. Then when I assembled it back, plugged it in, to charge it, the battery was on screen, saying it is charging and I thought the problem is solved, but when I turn on the phone there is still nothing, blank screen. What could be wrong? The screen must be working because otherwise I couldn't see the green battery when charging the phone while off.

Dropped the tablet!

Hi all, I dropped my tablet today and for a few hours later it worked fine but suddenly the touch stopped working and it doesn't charge. Everything else is ok the LCD the buttons even the screen rotates until it shut down due to empty battery. Now battery doesn't charge and I don't know what to do.
Any idea what happened to the tablet?

You can open the back side. Carefully remove the power connector by prying up with a small flat blade. Once removed, let it set for 10 or so minutes, then reconnect and assemble the case cover.
Connect your charge cable and wait a minute... it should show the battery charging image. If not there is damage to the device.
I use a rubberized case cover. A few times I have dropped my tablet fairly hard, and have not suffered any damage.

Replaced battery and still no boot...

Hey guys
I bought a replacement battery and followed this guide. I successfully replaced it and was able to close it back up. However when I connect it to the charger the light appears and the screen turns on for about a second then turns off. I opened it back up to make sure the connections were stable, and they were fine. So i closed it back up again and its doing the same thing and even vibrating every 5 seconds but then stops.
Anyone that has replaced the battery experiencing this as well? Or anything similar? How did you solve it?
I just replaced the battery in mine. Seemed to go well and booted and worked great (seemed to fix the issue I was having of it randomly shutting off). I put it on the charger and it would not charge, so figured I must not have seated the inductive charging cable well enough, so took it back apart. While taking it back apart I managed to rip the display cable in half . Forget this thing I'm done with it.
