Hello!
I hope somebody can help me, I tried to solve the problem by myself but I ran out of ideas what could be wrong. So to start with, i have replaced a cracked screen with a new one(lcd+digitizer). Everything was working fine after assembly, so I gave the phone back to the customer. Yesterday after 3 weeks of usage, he came back claiming that the screen isn't working anymore and that sometimes the screen was black and the other second was working. So I gave a look, but the screen was working(suddenly again), only the colours were a bit funky(probably the screen flat cable is the problem or?) So I opened the phone but nothing was wrong with the cables. I also cleaned the connectors with air if there was maybe some dust. Then when I assembled it back, plugged it in, to charge it, the battery was on screen, saying it is charging and I thought the problem is solved, but when I turn on the phone there is still nothing, blank screen. What could be wrong? The screen must be working because otherwise I couldn't see the green battery when charging the phone while off.

If you didnt drop it or took it for a swim i think you might have a broken/loose flex cable, that happened to me a few weeks back (it got ripped in half) and unfortunately the flex ribbon is nowhere to be found, i had to buy a slide with a broken screen on ebay to take the flex and replace it on my phone.
i might be wrong but if the keyboard is lit up then this is the only explanation i can find...
Hi,
So I dropped my UK one X the other day, the fall was so bad the LCD popped from the frame and tore the ribbon cable for the LCD.
Now, I've ordered the replacement screen and after a strip down and rebuild which lead to removing the battery the new screen is now blank (phone charges and seems to power on)
After doing a quick search on this it is all pointing around syncing the screens - which I cannot do due to the broken ribbon cable on the old...
Any ideas how I can get this working without the syncing process?
It is rooted with a custom rom if that helps.
Thanks, Matt
Anyone? Kinda desperate.
I had blackscreen problem in recovery.

I don't think that is the problem I have.
The phone does turn on as the light light up and it vibrates as if I'm trying to unlock it.
Its just the LCD is not powering up at all - Tried the cable reseating many times =(

Have you found solution to this problem?
What is with my HOX is, yesterday i bought (lcd+glass) the whole display it turned yesterday on as i plugged the power cable in, today it isnt working anymore, screen wont turn on, when i try to turn on the phone those three buttons at the bottom flash for a few seconds and nothing happens, the phone is turning on nad everything but i cant get that screen to work i have checked cables. Please any help is appreciated.
I replaced my HTC One X screen because it's cracked. I am pretty sure I did everything correctly.
I followed this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3wxy4wUlRw&list=PLv54VHJgYuodvmY7ySEUEjOZcbptZtmG7&index=4
I tested the new screen out mid-way, like the video, and it worked fine (I'm using the SHARP variant, as it was identical to the cracked one).
I then placed the screen into the housing, and connected everything back up. Put the screws back in, but before putting the back cover on, I tried testing the screen. It wouldn't turn on. The capacitative buttons light up on reboot, but the screen does not. When plugging it in, the notification LED lights up a constant orange, and it comes up on my computer.
I've read some people having this problem, but I'm not sure what to do.
I took the screen out, and put the old one in (the cracked), and it too no longer lit up! Same problem as the new screen. So how do I fix this? The Flex cable is 100% in the jawbone connector, so it's not that. I don't think it's a short circuit, although it is a possibility.
I spent $90 on this, so it's quite disappointing if it's all gone to waste.
UPDATE:
I found out that the screen is working, it's just extremely, extremely dim. It's so dim that I needed complete darkness in my room in order to see the screen. I only glimpsed this once, and I haven't yet been able to get it to turn on again.
What's strange is that the screen doesn't even light up when powering on, there's no HTC boot animation or anything. Is this a hardware, or software issue?
I'm going to fully charge it, and take the battery out for 3-4 hours, and see if it fixes it.
I think it might be a shorted 220 coil, that's the only explanation I can think of to cause both screens to not light up.
Does anyone have any experience replacing the 220 coil? As I'm not sure how to remove the 220 coil. Do I just pry it off?
Hey guys
I bought a replacement battery and followed this guide. I successfully replaced it and was able to close it back up. However when I connect it to the charger the light appears and the screen turns on for about a second then turns off. I opened it back up to make sure the connections were stable, and they were fine. So i closed it back up again and its doing the same thing and even vibrating every 5 seconds but then stops.
Anyone that has replaced the battery experiencing this as well? Or anything similar? How did you solve it?
I just replaced the battery in mine. Seemed to go well and booted and worked great (seemed to fix the issue I was having of it randomly shutting off). I put it on the charger and it would not charge, so figured I must not have seated the inductive charging cable well enough, so took it back apart. While taking it back apart I managed to rip the display cable in half . Forget this thing I'm done with it.
Phone keeps acting like I plug in the charger. Every 15 seconds it beeps the screen dims as if I connected something and it wont stop.
Reset my phone cleaned the USB port looking for sugfestions.
Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks.

Same issue I HAD.
I purchased a LG G7 thinQ off of Craigslist.
Everything was fine minus the back glass being completely cracked and shattered.
I went on eBay and purchased the back glass with the finger print scanner and camera lens included, as well as a new battery (since I was already going to be inside the phone).
Completed the task, charged to 100 with phone off. Two days later as I left for vacation, the battery went from 17% to 10% then it shut off. I couldn't get it to take a charge, at all. So I messaged the eBay battery seller and had him send me a newer one. The previous battery date was 11-02-2018.
Once I got back into town, I opened the new battery and the date was 06-05-2019.
So far so good! I'd suggest watching YouTube and getting a heatgun or hairdryer.
I was in between it being a battery issue or the charging port itself. My back screen is cracked as well I habe always had a case on it but maybe with it being cracked with the humidity moisture has got to the battery???
up
I have the same problem too, it started after upgrade to android pie
