Hello.
I have a rdn5 global version with Xiaomi.eu beta and India region. I guess the volume on call speaker it's too low... I don't know if it's software or hardware issue.
Can you help me to get a fix or something? I do have root.
Thank you in advice
I've got the same problem. The only way I've found to fix it, it's to blow very hard in the speaker.

Same problem here. I've reported this to Xiaomi. I hope that they can solve this in the next update.
Same issue here the last few days. Low in call volume Redmi Note 5 (global version)
I use root volume mixer pro app from playstore and increased speaker and earpiece volume ..
The app is in red colour icon made by piereligio
Oh it's software issues, if u r on xiaomi.eu try installing masik rom your problem will be solved.
Its cloged earpiece grill, try to clear with some pin or like what i did made 2-3 small holes with needle, no need to play around with software or anything
Same with ringer grill.
Same issue here, tried hard reset with no success :/
But the date of occurance can't be a coincidence. Has been last week of june also for my phone...
Try the needle solution to clean your phone, it works for me.

As the title says (*kills). Sound working ok and after the update when I don't use the tablet for a while sound goes off for all the system. I reboot it and after the reboot it works. But several minutes later the sound is dead again. Any one with this issue???
This is so f..king annoying.
Thanks!!
Edit: kills the mic too.
Edit2: while it's charging through the charger it seems, even letting it a while locked, that sound doesn't go off. Really Google? So fuc..d up developers you have?

No problems here with the update.
All good here too
Mine is also fine on the new update.
Could be a bad flash. Try flashing the factory image and seeing if that helps.
Don't have a USB C cable and I won't buy one for this ****ty tablet. I spend 500€ to work my ass out to make this thing run okay? Hell no. Rooted and unlocked all my Android devices, not this one guys. It's really annoying. A month a go my nexus 6 battery died. Do you know how many years my Galaxy SIII worked before saying good bye? 5 years.
Back on topic. Safe mode won't help, sound even does not comes up at start. Factory reset won't help, issue persists. Only when charging sound wont go off.

Maybe you have a bad device?
Never seen that issue on mine or on wife's, but my sample size is 2 ....

Yes post it in google forums products and obvious answer came up like "safe mode", bla, bla, bla.
Already done an RMA. I won't bother myself doing anything else than updating via OTA with this Google device.
Thankfully the Google representative was really really nice and did all the tedious work a pleasure
Same here. Sound won't work after a while. Reboot helps.
No errors during flashing the factory image. Even the keyboard upgrade worked flawlessly.
Sound Issue
I had a sound issue yesterday on my tablet, which may or may not be the same thing.
No media sounds coming out of the speakers, even though the volume was turned up high, odd thing was notifications still seemed to work - i.e. calendar reminders still made the notification sounds and trying to change notification sounds also played the sounds as usual.
Grabbed my headphones and plugged them in and media sound was OK - removed headphones again and speakers were back.
I had been been using my tablet to watch movies on a flight back home with my headphones and assume that for some reason the tablet did not identify the removal event - so still had the speakers blocked!!
No errors too when flashing my unit. But there the problem was.
Regarding about plugging headphones in and out, and reverting sound back to normal, did not work for me. But when sound was working after restart and headphones were plugged, before every media sound was played a clacking noise appears.

I came here to post the same issue. At first I thought it was a third party app, however it is not. I'm currently in contact with Nexus Support and will update when I have an answer.
Edit: contacted Google Support and, of course, trouble shooting came down to a factory reset. I will try this and update if the issue was resolved.
Didn't work for me

I'm experiencing the lost sound problem. Please let us know if the problem returns on your new unit. Haven't decided whether to RMA mine.

Update here was working flawlessly. I activated Google now when screen off and issue returned. Seems to be software. But I don't understand why the factory reset on the other unit didn't fixed it. Try turning that option off.

I thought this had happened to me too but then after reading through this and someone mentioned audio blocking I remembered that I had this button called Pressy installed in my headphone jack, once I removed it, the sound worked again!

Hi,
After the last upgrade to oxygen 3.2.6 I've experienced an issue with the proximity sensor during calls: it doesn't work properly and I keep pressing buttons with my ear. I've noticed it after the upgrade, it was working perfectly before.
Has anyone the same issue? No root nor anything else.
Thanks a lot
Hello,
same issue but from the beginning I bought this phone.
This phone is excellent but this issue is very annoying. During a call, when I try with my finger, the screen is switching on and off correctly, at a distance of 1cm I would say.
But with my ear, it is problematic. Sometimes, screen does not switch of at all, or switches on during the call. I have to press strongly the phone on my ear to avoid screen switching on.
I have deleted shortcuts, switch off the wifi, switch on the bluetooth,..... with my ear during calls.
Is it an isolated problem? Is there a soft to adjust the sensibility?
I am non rooted under 3.5.3.
I was before on 3.2.1, then 3.2.3, 3.2.4. and I always had this issue.
Thank you for your help.
Hi guys, i have the same issue from the beginning. Could you solve this problem?
I used to have this problem only with CM ROMs. I'm on FreedomOS 1.5.1 (oos 3.2.6) right now and sensor's working fine.
I am not rooted and will not install any custom rom. I use sync soft provided by my compwny which does not work when phone is rooted.
And I will not change my ear as well
Hope new update with solve the problem then.

I think that it has to do with the positioning of the phone during calls. Coming from Nexus 4 with a smaller screen, I initially faced this issue. Then after thinking about it, I started to consciously adjust the positioning of the phone during a call. After sometime, it has now become automatic. Everytime now, the screen goes off during a call as it should.
Try it.
I will try thank you.
Or if still not working properly I may do a complete reset and reinstallation.

I noticed that even when I use the phone with hand free ear speaker, the screen is waking up regularly after 15s for example,... I am wondering why? I am more and more convinced that it is a soft problem.
Envoyé de mon ONEPLUS A3003 en utilisant Tapatalk
I too have this issue and have done cache clear etc but the issue stays. I do not want to root my phone and want Oneplus to fix the issue. The sensor works fine if i use fingers on it but during call, the screen keeps coming on and off
Finally I had to reset my phone. I have re-installed more or less 90℅ of my softs. No problem anymore. Screen switches off and remains switched-off during calls. I confirm it is a soft problem.
But which one? OS?
I will come back if the problem comes back.
Like the title says, Did anyone manage to resolve the Random Reboot issues on Note 7?
If yes, How?
Mine randomly reboots regardless of which rom kernel it is, Stock or Hydra.
Tried Hydra Kernel, and yet the problem remains.
Still on the BPI7 firmware which has no limit or whatsoever.
Any Help is much appreciated.

So Return is the only option?
The only reboot issue I have ever had is on one of my 3 note 7s but it was caused by an xposed module. I think your device might be the only one rebooting. Maybe the battery connector isn't seated properly? Could be worth opening g up and reseating it if your only other option is to return it.

Return it without opening it. If you opened it, the warranty is canceled and Samsung won't accept the return. At your own risks...

I do Not recall the name of the module but it messed with Google Play Music.
And as another poster said, opening the device will probably void your warranty. Though that being said one of the note 7s I returned (to samsung for the recall) was opened and they did not turn it down. Another thing to say is that may not be the issue. It more than likely wont be in fact. It is most likely a defect in the phone.
I had that problem too, I have my note 7 since october, stock rom, no root, 100% charging, I disabled all google stuff with bk disabler, except for the playstore and maps, zero ramdom reboots after that

Can you share the list (.xml) of the debloated apps? (Or even a screenshot would do).
I also feel that it's a software matter, as the reboot frequency slowed down after I deleted the weather apk. Went two whole days without a reboot...
Does anyone have a random vibration problem? My phone vibrates randomly like it's a notification but a bit shorter (quicker, but not that quick like a wrong fingerprint vibration ), sometimes it vibrates almost every hour at xx:01 time, and now a couple of days ago it started to vibrate at xx:13, and then right away at xx:14, sometimes even third time at xx:15 (screen stays black, it just vibrates, and nothing else). I tried different roms, the same thing every time. It annoys me so much and wakes me up at night
I didn't find that somebody had this problem, so I created this thread
It can happen when the phone try to synchronise new file(s) with Xiaomi cloud. Have a look in this direction.

Well, just install clean rom, like stock miui, or pixel experience, and dont install single app or any backups. Wait a few hours and im pretty sure you wont have any vibrations. Never heard of such hardware problem, it must be one of your apps

Weirdly enough, I had something similar, some fantom vibrations, but if I remember they were random, could happen at any time. I was on Aosip rom, some build from maybe 2 months ago and aftrr some update I didn't have it, so ti might have been some source issue, but it might also have been some app that I had. Do a clean flash and switch to another rom, if it still happens, try to install one app at a time to narrow it down.
Bro maybe you have a ghost in your room trying to unlock your device..
Hello,
I bought Honor View 20 two weeks ago, and I love it. However, when I play videos on YouTube or Instagram, the sound gets so low after a while and I have to adjust the volume with the volume button. Then, the volume gets so loud all of a sudden that I have to adjust it with the volume button yet again. I have googled about this issue and it seems that some p30 pro users are having the same sound fluctuation problem, but there is no solution for that yet. Anyone having a similar problem like this on View 20 or know a solution for this?
I would be very grateful for any suggestions for a solution.
Ps. I have not made a factory reset yet because the phone is only new and I don't have the time to do a factory reset now, but I would do it in the future if I know that it would help.
Thank you.
Is this with the speakers or via headphones/Bluetooth? I have encountered this with speakers and a factory reset did NOT fix the issue. Don't bother with factory resetting.

This happens with the speaker. It is very annoying. So, are you still having the same problem like me even after the reset, or how is the situation now?

I am on 9.0.1. 125 and never updated. So, updating it does not solve this problem, either. Probably, I will send it to service as soon as possible.
I could not fix the problem myself no matter what i tried, so last week, I sent my Honor View 20 to the service, and they changed the motherboard of my phone. Now it seems to be working normally.

Update: Unbelievable, now another issue has started. Whenever I interact with the phone, there is a double sound, such as whatsapp / messenger sent tone, screen unlock, camera shot, keyboard touches, etc. It is super annoying and disappointing. I will send it again to the service.
P.S. Factory reset does nothing to solve this 'new' issue.
Je ne pouvais pas régler le problème moi-même, quoi que j'aie essayé, alors la semaine dernière, j'ai envoyé mon Honor View 20 au service, qui a changé la carte mère de mon téléphone. Maintenant, il semble fonctionner normalement.
