Does anyone have a random vibration problem? My phone vibrates randomly like it's a notification but a bit shorter (quicker, but not that quick like a wrong fingerprint vibration ), sometimes it vibrates almost every hour at xx:01 time, and now a couple of days ago it started to vibrate at xx:13, and then right away at xx:14, sometimes even third time at xx:15 (screen stays black, it just vibrates, and nothing else). I tried different roms, the same thing every time. It annoys me so much and wakes me up at night
I didn't find that somebody had this problem, so I created this thread
It can happen when the phone try to synchronise new file(s) with Xiaomi cloud. Have a look in this direction.

Well, just install clean rom, like stock miui, or pixel experience, and dont install single app or any backups. Wait a few hours and im pretty sure you wont have any vibrations. Never heard of such hardware problem, it must be one of your apps

Weirdly enough, I had something similar, some fantom vibrations, but if I remember they were random, could happen at any time. I was on Aosip rom, some build from maybe 2 months ago and aftrr some update I didn't have it, so ti might have been some source issue, but it might also have been some app that I had. Do a clean flash and switch to another rom, if it still happens, try to install one app at a time to narrow it down.
Bro maybe you have a ghost in your room trying to unlock your device..

Hello.
Since a few weeks I got several problems with the nexus.
The 1st thing I have to deal with was a self power off. One day I took it, it didn't power off, it goes black screen itself during the night. And unable to power on! There was battery. Don't know what happened. It works again after 10 minutes of tries. Never happen again.
But the main problem here is that sometimes, the rotation doesn't work anymore. It stays the way it is. If an app goes in landscape, the tablet stay landscape after quitting, no matter what I did.
The same in portrait mode.
Everything is configured well, autorotation is on.
Only a full reboot make the sensor work again.
I tried to push the back of the nexus in N and S. But without any results...
Any idea somebody?
Thanks.

I have the same issue !!
I have to reboot everyday to fix the autorotation.
Actually, I flashed a new kernel this weekend (and o/c a little bit), and the problem doesn't happen again...
Maybe it's a way to follow...
I found that my sensors were frozen (using check my android) when it was happening.
I found this youtube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLCAeBe2hVU
and in the comments, I tried the fix :
Try these steps:
Turn off your device completely.
Put it face down on a flat surface.
With your fingers, press hard on around the area of the letters "n" of nexus and "s". Boot your device.
Hope it helped. (100% working)

Its working !! After 3 days, no more sensors issue
@Matrix_19. Thanks, this seems (after 3 reboots in the last 20 minutes) to have addressed the rotation lock issue. Which, if it carries on working will be a blessing having not to employ a rotation app.

I'm still having the issue... But now it's happening once in 14 days rather than every day... (still applying the pressure on the back when it's happening)
Better than nothing

well, after less than an hour it's back to the sluggish refusal to rotate.... i'm wondering if inserting a padding material beneath the back cover in the same points as the "N" & "S" might offer a permanent fix? a task for the holidays I guess.
Hi,
After the last upgrade to oxygen 3.2.6 I've experienced an issue with the proximity sensor during calls: it doesn't work properly and I keep pressing buttons with my ear. I've noticed it after the upgrade, it was working perfectly before.
Has anyone the same issue? No root nor anything else.
Thanks a lot
Hello,
same issue but from the beginning I bought this phone.
This phone is excellent but this issue is very annoying. During a call, when I try with my finger, the screen is switching on and off correctly, at a distance of 1cm I would say.
But with my ear, it is problematic. Sometimes, screen does not switch of at all, or switches on during the call. I have to press strongly the phone on my ear to avoid screen switching on.
I have deleted shortcuts, switch off the wifi, switch on the bluetooth,..... with my ear during calls.
Is it an isolated problem? Is there a soft to adjust the sensibility?
I am non rooted under 3.5.3.
I was before on 3.2.1, then 3.2.3, 3.2.4. and I always had this issue.
Thank you for your help.
Hi guys, i have the same issue from the beginning. Could you solve this problem?
I used to have this problem only with CM ROMs. I'm on FreedomOS 1.5.1 (oos 3.2.6) right now and sensor's working fine.
I am not rooted and will not install any custom rom. I use sync soft provided by my compwny which does not work when phone is rooted.
And I will not change my ear as well
Hope new update with solve the problem then.

I think that it has to do with the positioning of the phone during calls. Coming from Nexus 4 with a smaller screen, I initially faced this issue. Then after thinking about it, I started to consciously adjust the positioning of the phone during a call. After sometime, it has now become automatic. Everytime now, the screen goes off during a call as it should.
Try it.
I will try thank you.
Or if still not working properly I may do a complete reset and reinstallation.

I noticed that even when I use the phone with hand free ear speaker, the screen is waking up regularly after 15s for example,... I am wondering why? I am more and more convinced that it is a soft problem.
Envoyé de mon ONEPLUS A3003 en utilisant Tapatalk
I too have this issue and have done cache clear etc but the issue stays. I do not want to root my phone and want Oneplus to fix the issue. The sensor works fine if i use fingers on it but during call, the screen keeps coming on and off
Finally I had to reset my phone. I have re-installed more or less 90℅ of my softs. No problem anymore. Screen switches off and remains switched-off during calls. I confirm it is a soft problem.
But which one? OS?
I will come back if the problem comes back.
Like the title says, Did anyone manage to resolve the Random Reboot issues on Note 7?
If yes, How?
Mine randomly reboots regardless of which rom kernel it is, Stock or Hydra.
Tried Hydra Kernel, and yet the problem remains.
Still on the BPI7 firmware which has no limit or whatsoever.
Any Help is much appreciated.

So Return is the only option?
The only reboot issue I have ever had is on one of my 3 note 7s but it was caused by an xposed module. I think your device might be the only one rebooting. Maybe the battery connector isn't seated properly? Could be worth opening g up and reseating it if your only other option is to return it.

Return it without opening it. If you opened it, the warranty is canceled and Samsung won't accept the return. At your own risks...

I do Not recall the name of the module but it messed with Google Play Music.
And as another poster said, opening the device will probably void your warranty. Though that being said one of the note 7s I returned (to samsung for the recall) was opened and they did not turn it down. Another thing to say is that may not be the issue. It more than likely wont be in fact. It is most likely a defect in the phone.
I had that problem too, I have my note 7 since october, stock rom, no root, 100% charging, I disabled all google stuff with bk disabler, except for the playstore and maps, zero ramdom reboots after that

Can you share the list (.xml) of the debloated apps? (Or even a screenshot would do).
I also feel that it's a software matter, as the reboot frequency slowed down after I deleted the weather apk. Went two whole days without a reboot...
Hey guys,
got my Mi A2 Lite just a few days ago, I really like it for now. But one thing bothers me a little bit: After waking it up - doesn't matter whether through fingerprint or power button - it takes like one second until the screen turns on. Is that normal?
I'm only used to my Redmi 4X (lastly running LOS 16) and it felt like it was much faster there, even though it is quite a bit older.
My device is quite vanilla (only magisk with adaway and some normal apps), but I think it felt the same right after setting it up clean.
Would be nice if you could share your experiences.

Thats weird... Mine doesnt do that its almost instant when i wake the phone through fingerprint or power button doesnt matter... You should probably get that checked
I really think that is true, mine do the same thing when be in sleep for a time
I compared the speed of screen on with power button with my very old Xperia Z and the sony was faster by all means
Same thing here, after updating to android 9 pie the screen comes on after maybe 3-4 seconds! But this happens only sometimes.... Today. I even missed a wake up alarm. It seems like the phone goes into a "too deep sleep" mode and can't be waken up. Will go back to Android 8.1...

I had the same problem too. I use my phone with 2 simcards and 1 sd card. After I remove the sd and disable sim 2 , the wake up delay disappeared.
I have such a strange problem, I have never encountered anything similar before - well, in the summer I bought a used Redmi Note 5 4/64, buying it I only knew about it that it is blocked by a Mi account, after removing the lock (thanks to Xiaomi Support <3) I quickly understood why the phone had the bootloader unlocked from the beginning - the phone comes from China, it had Miui 9 global, after blocking BL and uploading miui 10 global you can guess what happened a moment later, that's when I found out where the phone came from xD
It may not be that important, but I am writing so that you know more or less how much this phone has gone through, and now to the point - in its current state it is practically unusable, no matter if I am installing the official Miui, a custom Pixel Expierience type, Havoc etc., even changing the kernel does not change anything, the phone lags mercilessly, every now and again it hangs even when navigating the interface itself, and when I turn on some app of the Play store type, sir, I will prepare the tea before it all moves, and it happened almost all the time - even the first system startup after a fresh installation looks like this, and I wrote "cannon" because for unknown reasons (and this is the strangest part) after turning it off for a few days and after these few days of trying again to install Miui everything started walking as lively as it should, zero lags, cuts, everything is beautiful, but by the time. It's been about two weeks and all these problems have returned, even TWRP thinks for a long time before anything happens, someone can meet something like that?
To be honest, I have no ideas for this phone, it doesn't heat up, you can't see anything wrong with it, but 90% of the time it goes worse than Moto G3, I never believed in such things, but is it possible for it to happen to some physical damage to some components, and that's where all this comes from? Or maybe these Chinese versions work badly with systems other than Chinese? Because beyond general efficiency, everything else works as it should, camera, speaker, screen, etc.
And one more thing - every custom rom based on Android Pie installs in TWRP for half an hour, it goes very slowly, I don't know if it should be like that.

I tried everything, I changed the system many times, I tried MIUI 9, 10, 11, each of them works just as badly, today I installed Havoc 2.9 and the phone works relatively well, still not quite as it should, but it is simply possible to use. I still care about working MIUI the most, but every version hangs on the Setup Wizard, I tried the global and CN versions, I still have no idea why it does not work correctly.
Pixel Experience also works, but only for the first few minutes, then problems with google play etc. start, Havoc is the first system that can be used on this phone, but again, I just want to use MIUI

Because if yes, u can have hardware problems and u should go to spec.
I can say more, that my old redmi 3s half year ago was fast response, now without any changes, only ring!( Because i gave it for my dad ) is lagging as hell, even adding some mods like FDE.AI don't help much

That is a absolutely TERRIBLE score. That"s no suprise that your phone is barely working. There is something wrong with hardware.
As suggesed. Try replugging internals of your phone
If no go, then the only way is to replace the motherboard (as i haven"t seen a guide go completely erase the partition table and rebuild it)
