Did anyone here resolve the random reboot issue? - Note 7 Questions & Answers

Like the title says, Did anyone manage to resolve the Random Reboot issues on Note 7?
If yes, How?
Mine randomly reboots regardless of which rom kernel it is, Stock or Hydra.
Tried Hydra Kernel, and yet the problem remains.
Still on the BPI7 firmware which has no limit or whatsoever.
Any Help is much appreciated.

So Return is the only option?

The only reboot issue I have ever had is on one of my 3 note 7s but it was caused by an xposed module. I think your device might be the only one rebooting. Maybe the battery connector isn't seated properly? Could be worth opening g up and reseating it if your only other option is to return it.

Return it without opening it. If you opened it, the warranty is canceled and Samsung won't accept the return. At your own risks...

I do Not recall the name of the module but it messed with Google Play Music.
And as another poster said, opening the device will probably void your warranty. Though that being said one of the note 7s I returned (to samsung for the recall) was opened and they did not turn it down. Another thing to say is that may not be the issue. It more than likely wont be in fact. It is most likely a defect in the phone.

I had that problem too, I have my note 7 since october, stock rom, no root, 100% charging, I disabled all google stuff with bk disabler, except for the playstore and maps, zero ramdom reboots after that

Can you share the list (.xml) of the debloated apps? (Or even a screenshot would do).
I also feel that it's a software matter, as the reboot frequency slowed down after I deleted the weather apk. Went two whole days without a reboot...

LG G3 rebooting every few minutes

I've had my G3 for over a month now without many issues, however yesterday evening my phone randomly rebooted itself, and ever since reboots every few minutes, often when I unlock my phone or shortly after. I have booted in to safe mode, and reflashed both the latest i and j firmware updates but no success.
Any ideas or anything I can try to dig in to the issue further?
By any chance did you enable ART runtime in settings? Otherwise maybe you have a corrupt sdcard.
Did you try booting into recovery to delete the cache? All else fails, you might need to factory reset.

Its probably due to either overheating or you messed with something in the build.prop.
First is your phone rooted? If it is then did you do anything system-wise? (Xposed framework or edit the build.prop or attempt to "flash" something)?

Thanks, unfortunately I'm still on Dalvik, and have removed my sdcard to try and remove another piece from the puzzle. I've factory reset and also flashed both an i and a j kdz using LGFlashTool2014.
Is it worth me following the guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475045 or is the LGFlashTool2014 the same thing?

I've had Xposed installed with a few modules since I first had the phone, and hadn't added any new modules recently, although I guess possibly one of them may have updated. I've since done a factory reset and flashed however so can no longer check. Would I be right to assume the re-flash would have put everything back in a stock state?

Xposed causes my LG to reboot every few minutes, so it could be that.
Just for extra info...I had an optimus g pro and the same thing was happening...I sent it in for repair...but that didn't fix the problem...here is what fixed it from rebooting...I replaced the battery...yep it was the battery causing it...put the old one in and it started rebooting again...put the new one in again and no reboots...don't know if this will help you but it's what happened to me

Unfortunately that didn't work either. Looks like it'll have to go back for repair.
As a last gasp attempt to see if anyone else has any thoughts, I've noticed the following message in the logcat near when the phone restarts itselfL

I can't find anything online but I wonder if the phone is thinking it is overheating and therefore restarting? The device feels cold to the touch so I don't think it is actually overheating
Sounds like one of the chips is overheating. Maybe not be seating with the heatsink or whatever is supposed to help it keep cool. Ide take it back and get a replacement.

Interesting development, I flashed the Deviant CM11 AOSP rom on to it (using Tethered TWRP) and whilst it couldn't do much it lasted a whole day without rebooting. Unfortunately flashing the stock firmware or any other kdz back to the device causes the rebooting again. I'm still suspecting it could be a thermal issue, the phone wasn't exactly being stressed on Deviant.

[SOLVED] [5.1.1] Screen freeze

EDIT: Thanks to @gewa2001 for the solution. Apparently, the Smart Manager app is whats causing it. If you're not rooted then try to disable it or if youre rooted then you can just Uninstall or Freeze it with RomToolbox and it should fix all the screen freezes.
So i just recently installed the N750XXUDOK5 Firmware for N750 on my Indian variant of the phone. Everything seems to be working just fine except i've been experiencing some screen freezes. Like, it just so happens that im using something and it just suddenly freezes for 4-5 Seconds and then starts working fine. And it happens quite frequently so its kind of annoying.
Also, i dunno if its related but i've noticed it usually happening when i receive a message on whatsapp, just as i get a message a bunch of whatsapp icons pop up on the status bar and then merge into one which then displays a Heads up notification and causes the screen to freeze.
Is anyone else having a similar issue/ is there any way to fix this ?

Same here: occasionally system slow or even frozen since 5.1.1 (no factory reset, but debloated and rooted). Mostly on lockscreen, around twice a day. I switched off the new "app optimization" feature in the new 'Smart Manager' today. No more screen freeze since then. What's YOUR observations?

oh now that i think about it, the smart manager might just be whats causing the freezes otherwise it should've been fixed on 5.1.1. how did you switch it "off" though, i dont see any option to

How to switch off 'app optimization' within the SmartManager app (I got the German language version, so your tags might be called slightly different in English language) : tap on the 'battery' quadrant, then on 'details', then switch to 'off' by using the upper right on/off slider.

Guess thats what was making it freeze. Thanks!

D855 back camera is crashing all the time

Hi guys. My back camera has become pretty much unusable lately since most of the times it crashes any app using it. It must be a hardware issue since front camera is working fine. I tried clearing camera's app data etc like I saw in other posts online but it didn't work. I was thinking that this might have something to do with laser auto focus but I didn't find any way to disable it. Any ideas?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
i think it may be your Rom ... did u upgrade your Rom ?? becoz my camera work on Kiatakt 4.4.2 and when i upgrade to v6.0 then it crash ...
I have stock 6.0 too but I not sure whether the problems started when I upgraded to MM. Did anyone else get camera issues when they upgraded?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
You can try factory resetting your phone. I know it's a pain, but I've heard for some this fixes issues with the marshmallow update. It might be worth trying that first before you assume it's a hardware issue.
I have also camera problems after upgrade to MM. First with camera app crashes and now the back camera is not detected; when i open camera app, it opens front camera and its not possible to choose back camera. Also flash app doesn't work. I already sent my G3 twice for service repair but problem was not solved.. i will try to downgrade to 5.0 and if the problem persists, will send again phone for repair

No. Maybe that can be due to the case (ie. if it is to tight) and stock case doesn't have that issue. I can assure that it's not a bug faced by all. You can go ahead and reset. That should fix it.

Hello All...
Bad News..
Your Problem Is Thermal..
*Heat*
If you are rooted, try a Kernel that will allow you to Undervolt / Underclock and see if that helps with your heat / reboot issues.
Odds are you all don't have the same Malicious App running in the background reeking havoc on your devices.
You can also check your thermal's with something like CPU-X.. that may be a good 1st step.

Vibration problem. Phone vibrates every hour at the exact time

Does anyone have a random vibration problem? My phone vibrates randomly like it's a notification but a bit shorter (quicker, but not that quick like a wrong fingerprint vibration ), sometimes it vibrates almost every hour at xx:01 time, and now a couple of days ago it started to vibrate at xx:13, and then right away at xx:14, sometimes even third time at xx:15 (screen stays black, it just vibrates, and nothing else). I tried different roms, the same thing every time. It annoys me so much and wakes me up at night
I didn't find that somebody had this problem, so I created this thread
It can happen when the phone try to synchronise new file(s) with Xiaomi cloud. Have a look in this direction.

Well, just install clean rom, like stock miui, or pixel experience, and dont install single app or any backups. Wait a few hours and im pretty sure you wont have any vibrations. Never heard of such hardware problem, it must be one of your apps

Weirdly enough, I had something similar, some fantom vibrations, but if I remember they were random, could happen at any time. I was on Aosip rom, some build from maybe 2 months ago and aftrr some update I didn't have it, so ti might have been some source issue, but it might also have been some app that I had. Do a clean flash and switch to another rom, if it still happens, try to install one app at a time to narrow it down.
Bro maybe you have a ghost in your room trying to unlock your device..
