Dude do you want to make your phone a mini bomb ..
Playing while charging is not good for battery and phone..might get explode due to pubgs high temp + battery charging temp ...
If you are concern about yourself and your family then don't play games while charging

For now i am on msm xtended it is good for pubg for now occassionally lag. I play on smooth and high frame rate and for touch problem use power bank changing with charger cause touch problem it is normal for the device

Dude you are right but our mobile does not last for more than 3-4 matches on battery so charging while playing is only option. device heat little bit but it is the sacrifice we have do give for playing pubg for longer period

Use ubercool for lowering the temp further and battery does not charge during playing but reamain at the same percentage

[Q] Qucikest way to drain battery

Yes you heard me right! I got a new battery for my arc and I am trying to charge it discharge it so it lasts longer before I go travelling tomorrow.
I currently have it set to everything on, and watching a .avi film on screen brightness max. anyone got a suggestion for something to run?
thanks
If your phone is rooted you can set the CPU governor to performance.
Use a torrent app and start downloading a Linux distro on 3g.
That'll kill your battery in a few hours
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Try watching one of those ten hour videos on youtube?
Activate everything, max luminosity, download a big file with Wi-fi, launch google maps navigation to launch GPS in background and watch a long .avi movie with sound set at max.
Remove the battery and cross all the terminals

The quickest way to drain your battery is removing the battery and tossing it down the drain
Sent from my MB855 using XDA
use touch screen intensive
The quiqest way is to play a high demanding touch screen game (like fruit ninja or jewels star) with cpu set to performance. But what are you trying to do is not a solution, quik discharging your battery will not prolong your battery life, you have to let it to fully discharge slowly and then charget it again at low courent (USB port is excelent). If you force your battery to discharge faster, you can seriuosly damage your battery.

Cheers for your little condensing speech, the battery instructions actually recommend you charge/discharge 5 times from new to get it working fully and at its best. Not that stupid a question and yes pretty obvious batwingnz was joking...
@all thanks for your advice, leaving it on standby the whole day seems to do the trick.

Yes it say`s to discharge and charge 5 times, but not to discharge it as fast as you can... that is wrong. They actaly mean that after 5 full discharges and charges your battery will work as optimal ... that doesen`t mean you can overload the battery. If you do not want my advice it is your choice... but just for your knowledge i have finished a university and i`m working for 8 years now in field of electronics and automatizations....

REALLY weird battery charging behaviour!!

Hello ppl
My galaxy note battery needs battery calibration so i discharged the battery and while charging it (turned off device) I noticed that battery state give full green battery 100% for seconds then drop back to the low level it is charging on (that keep happening every about 2 minutes!!) .. that's while the charger "AC" is plugged and I didn't unplug it ... anybody noticed such behavior or has explanation? ... thx
Sounds weird situation
Try charging with different cable

Thx 4 the advice .. but I don't think so!
Are you talking about the charging screen with the phone off?
Isn't that what it does - just shows an animation of a charging battery where the lowest level is the current charge?

seems like I do have a real odd situation .. the animating green charging battery from a time to another "about 2 minutes inbetween" jumps from the charging level "supposed to be actual level" to 100% then drop in seconds to the forementioned actual level repetitively ... weird!!
Normal

well that could be anything, i play clash of clans and 3d games for hours n hours and that doesnt happen to me
Did your phone got hot when u were playing? that could be the reason because hotter the phone last less the battery
do you have any game booster or script for games?

Battery drain with max settings

I'm a bit worried about my battery drains and wanted to compare with others. With max brightness and power saving off my battery drains about 1 percent every 2-3 minutes with basic web browsing (no videos)
Is this fairly typical or is there something I should do to find out if an app is draining resources more than usual
Advance thanks
Sounds normal. And what kind of test is that? Lol
Screen as dim as you can handle is how to run for good battery.
Sorry, but I don't see the point of this test? There's far more to battery life than the screen brightness. ?

Also... No one can give you anything but guesses without useful screenshot. From gsam or something similar. ?
Ok thanks for advice, I heard Skype doesn't play well with 4.4.3 update at the moment and can cause battery drain so I have uninstalled it to see if that will make a difference...
Battery life comparisons with others are not going to yield a heck of a lot of useful info. Aside from screen on time, network reception in your specific location has a big impact on battery life.
I wonder if there is a list of apps that are known to drain the phone...when I factory feet the phone with all my apps my phone was working really great with long battery life...and then I started putting some apps back on and it started draining crazily again
Gsam will tell you what's draining you. Or what wakelocks you have. No need for a list. ?

And as I've said... Without screenshots... Useful ones, like post 4 in the battery thread in my signature... No one here can really help.

Fast charging Nokia X7

Im using a charger suport quick charge 3.0.
But nokia x7 only fast charging when turn off screen.

hi. I am using Belkin 3.0 and it doesn't say fast charging. It says 1.5 hour is needed until full from 50 - 100%.
is it really working with the fast chargers? I am now contacting nokia about this.

The technology of Fast charging is such that it doesn't fast charge all the time, but does it in waves, so to say
Yes, your device does support fast charging indeed

do you think it is really fast charging? this will be a problem. I can't wait 8 hours just to charge everyday
---------- Post added at 09:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 AM ----------
now I am charging. when I press power button, it says rapidly and when the screen on, it goes to normal. So I guess rapid charging is only working when you are not using your device.
Also, I read that you need to turn off the Ambient display in settings for the rapid charging to work. thanks
