Hi guys, help me!
I just got a pixel 3XL and everything was working fine, I get to my house and I connect it with a 15w charger, phone immediately turn off, died, don’t turn on anyway.
it is possible that the charger has damaged the logic board?
Thanks!!

Try to hold power and volume down for 30 seconds or hold power and volume up. Also try it while it's plugged in

Well, I have a suggestion. Leave the device to drain, then, charge it up for a little bit and try the combos again.
When my device was dying before, I was able to get it to respond by leaving it on the pixel stand. It actually could be a bug. I would suggest that you explain to google customer service the situation and tell them you can't return it. It could be as simple as doing something different.
Old trick from the droid incredible. Hold down power button while repeatedly plugging and unplugging the power cord. Worked for me and another xda member i suggested it to awhile ago when we thought our devices were bricked. That same small battery icon would flash from time to time for me also, thats how i knew it wasnt completley dead. Hasnt happened again since.
thanks guys for your suggestions I'm trying each one but I can not turn it on.
Tomorrow I will try a wireless charger hope I have some result .
this is frustating

Mine died last night while on my Pixel stand. I can turn it on but it won't stay on but for maybe 15-30 seconds then it turns itself off. It shows it's charging and that the charge is increasing. I've re-flashed system images, factory reset in TWRP, but I'm RMA.

Hi, I have a One X which discharged to nothing on Saturday night/Sunday morning as I was in hospital and my wife was using it to call people.
I had a similar problem in June, once dead it won't take any charge, it won't power up normally and it won't boot up either with the volume down being pressed at the same time.
Nothing lights or flashes.
In June I sent it to O2 and it came back fixed, but I've had a conversation today to say the warranty is voided as I've rooted it.
They are saying that it needs a new main board as it is rooted. I kept explaining that I don't need a new board, just some charge to be put into the battery.
I do think that I've tried everything this time, and last, to get the phone started again without sending it away, but I'd appreciate advice on getting it up and running and how best to deal with O2, what arguments to use etc.
Many thanks

Try plugging it in to the charger and pressing the power button quickly 3 times. Keep trying that until it powers on and then charge as usual.

Just Plug it in With Official HTC Cable In A New PC which has USB 2 or greater port. Eventually after sometime you will c blinking red light. Once you get blinking red light pull out and plug it back in again after some time red led will become stable. at this point turn on the phone.
Once the OS loads again repeat Plug out Plug In USB Cable. It should now charge. If it stops charging repeat Plug out Plug again. Hope this helps.
I am doing this now and i have reached 12%. Hope this helps you

I left it charging all night but pressing the button quickly did not work.
I'm now trying leaving it plugged into my PC.
Any idea how long before this might show a red light?
Also, is this any different to leaving it plugged into a power lead?
Cheers

Actually it should show the blinking red light after 20 appx minutes after charging. Then after few minutes it should get stable, and then you can powerup the device.

Hmmmm, back from lunch, it's been plugged in since 9.00 this morning, 4 hours, and nothing.
Repair needed?
Ok, having taken it to a repairer I was told there was nothing wrong with the battery, charging unit etc, it was a complicated matter that they couldn't sort out.
Does anybody know of a reputable repairer who may be able to take a look please?
Many thanks.
I have a Zenfone 2 551, 2GB/16GB. Bought it 45 days ago. I bought an Asus Fast Charger later on. The first time I wanted to use the new fast charger the phone turned off.
I change to a regular charger and the led turned on (I had 40% battery at the time). Left the phone charging (standard original Asus Charger) and the battery instead of charging is loosing charge. Even with the led turned on.
Eventually the battery died. I tried other chargers. 1 out 10, maybe a got the led back on, but the battery stayed on 0% and wasn't enough to even turn on the phone
I've read several people having this same issue.

In one of the post someone wrote this tip
Thanks for the reply. But after a long day of stressing, it worked by itself. I read from an article about another android with quick charging that the USB could have not been all the way in in the adapter which, in my opinion, it was but regardless I repeatedly unplug and plug(15 mins -30 mins interval)... did the same with the phone plug and unplug till I saw the battery level going up
It didn't worked for me!
I've already tried:
a. Changing chargers and cables
b. Pressing power for 20 seconds
c. Pressing volume up + power
d. Plugging and unplugging the phone every 15 minutes
I bought the phone while visiting the US (I don't live there).
Has anyone else had this kind of problem, and was able to fix it?
Thanks
Can you confirm if the ASUS adapters/USB cables work with other USB devices? Have you tried charging from a PC? If so, unfortunately this issue sounds like a hardware related issue and will require sending on for warranty service. Please feel free to contact me direct at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,

my phone died yesterday like that. i connect my phone to my computer with Asus usb cable the one comes with phone. my phone screen cracked about 1 month ago but it was not disturbing me so i didn't repaired it. right now nothing works on the phone.. at the moment i connect my phone it turned off and for 1 sec battery screen appaired then nothing. can't see my phone when i connect to pc with adb or something like that too so i think problem is more then screen but any idea ? @Asus_USA @Asus

The guy uses a metal tip pin to release the battery connector? seems that is risky and may short something out. These asus phones have so many issues, that's for sure.

I guess you could try a plastic one
So last night the battery had drained completely on my OP3 to the point where if you turned it on, it would give you that warning saying the battery is critically low. So I plugged it into the stock charger that came with the phone to charge it. The lightning bolt icon appeared on the screen to indicate it was charging. After it had charged a few percent, I pressed the power button to turn on the phone. The screen/phone immediately turned off and now will not turn back on or take a charge from the stock charger whatsoever. Also tried plugging it into computer via USB. Still will not power on or take a charge. Is it completely dead to the point I'm going to have to send it in to Oneplus to get it repaired? Anyone have any other suggestions that might bring it back to life? Thanks in advance...

Let it plugged on the stock charger 20 minutes then try again

Try charging for about 20min. If still not powering on, the power regulator is probably damaged. Send it to One Plus to get it fixed or replaced.
hi guys
pixel just shut off all of a sudden and now wont turn on. pressing the power button for 10 secs does nothing. any suggestions?
Is there any physical damage, were you rooted, unlocked, etc.? This info will help get your problem solved, but my guess is that you need to RMA it to Google.

Try holding the power button for a minute or two. If nothing then try to get your money back. I'm not sure how that works on swappa but you should have some kind of recourse. Thing sounds dead from what you're saying.
try pressing 3 buttons together. if nothing works after 1 minutes, you will need RMA your pixel.
it happened with me as well, no screen, but phone get warm and i can feel that vibration as well....bought from someone here in Brazil, and i really dunno how to start to ask for my RMA
can someone help me??
i think it will be hard to fix, because there's no bootloader....
If you search the net you will see that this issue is affecting about 1% of Pixel XL users. The only thing it seems is to RMA the phone. I hope you had luck returning yours on Swappa.
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping for some help with my Pixel. I was charging my Pixel overnight (though it was at ~65% battery) on a battery pack a couple nights ago, and when I woke up the phone was turned off. Nothing I can do now will get it to turn back on. I've tried multiple chargers (including the OEM), leaving it plugged in for a long time and then trying to turn it on, turning it on while holding power + volume down, etc. My PC will make a sound when I plug it in, like it recognizes a new USB device, but then it won't show up as a device.
Any ideas on what to do about this or what could be causing this issue? Currently phoneless so any and all help is hugely appreciated!

Holy crap! Almost sounds like your mother board went kaput! If you can't get into recovery or bootloader mode to do a factory reset, then about the only option as I see it is RMA. You certainly have grounds for it!

Something similar happened to me couple of month ago. The phone was on the charger and when I wanted to check it I noticed it was switched off. I could not switch it back on, tried to put it on different chargers, pressing different button combinations along with the power button, nothing helped. I then plugged the phone in to one of the usb 2 ports in the pc, used an Anker usb A to usb C cable. I could hear the sound the pc recognized it, then pressed volume up, volume down and power button for about 15-20 seconds. The phone switched back on... Since then (touch wood) hasn't happened again... Worth giving a try...

Same thing happened to me once. I was sh**ING bricks because I bought my phone from eBay. Reached out to Google Support and they gave me similar instructions. I had to hold volume up and power for about 20 seconds and it finally booted.
