I cannot find clue if the stock rom (MM or Nougart) support guest mode or muliple-user feature.
If yes, I will buy one
It does support both, at least on N.
Hi guys,
My basic question would be which is more secure, FDE (Full Disk Encryption) vs FBE (File Based Encryption)? I have found old threads which only talk about performance. I am more concerned about the security side of the two different file encryption methods. Also, if someone could point me in the right direction, I'm looking to learn as much as I can
Thanks
I used FDE on lineage then switched to stock to try FBE, because lineage "don't support it". I don't really see a difference except Direct Boot and you need modded TWRP that supports FBE.

I have been using stock with FDE and decided to try it. It was more of a curiosity thing which is why I asked.
Hello, i am using "pixel experience". I installed Sony Music from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony-themes-apps/8-0-8-1-t3822594 . But the effect doesn't work in the lastest rom version. Selinux switch does not work too.
Please help me! Thank you and sorry for my bad english
Can anyone explain F2FS, in detail for every normal user?

If you are currently on an f2fs ROM, you just wipe /system, /data, and /cache and flash, just like normal.
But if you want to flash miui, you will need to backup your internal storage first, because you will have to wipe it and change /data and /cache to ext4 because miui doesn't support f2fs for our device (yet).
Is f2fs now stable enough to use? Or it needs more time?

How long have you been using it?Some say that it is fast in short run but performance degrades in the long run.

It is true, but we are talking about months of use to observe any degradation of performance.
Hi, i'm looking for a ROM which supports GCam. It needs to be stable, best possible performance/battery and have a working GCam. I'm not familiar with the phone because i'm doing it for my friend. Also what does "Change slot" mean during the installation? I have never seen something like this before when I was experiencing with my rn4.

Check out msm xtended. It has hal1 / hal3 switcher built in so you can use the stock MIUI camera and GCam.
Change slot:
After installing custom ROMs u must change from the current slot you re on. (Unless you install MIUI ported rom)
For example: OS installed on slot A, then you change to B slot and reboot to TWRP to install gapps or magisk if you need.
(You will see the option to change slot when you finished installing the custom ROMs and going back to the screen where you choose how you want to reboot your phone.)
And which ROM is the best for performance/battery?
