If you are currently on an f2fs ROM, you just wipe /system, /data, and /cache and flash, just like normal.
But if you want to flash miui, you will need to backup your internal storage first, because you will have to wipe it and change /data and /cache to ext4 because miui doesn't support f2fs for our device (yet).
Is f2fs now stable enough to use? Or it needs more time?

How long have you been using it?Some say that it is fast in short run but performance degrades in the long run.

It is true, but we are talking about months of use to observe any degradation of performance.

Decrypt and access userdata when running OxygenOS 5.0 (Oreo). Probably mainly for doing backups and restores.
Amazing! It's working for both FBE and FDE?

Great job!!

Big Thanks, @codeworkx Testing features now and usb-otg is not working. I see the commit but I dont know if it's a oreo thing but you could add this line in init.recovery.qcom.rc
write /sys/class/power_supply/usb/otg_switch 1
Testing on official oreo release on Christmas release, on FBE encryption- only made a backup so far, will report more later.
Thanks also for posting additional commits also.
Works perfectly. Encrypted OP5 (Oreo FBE);and tested with several Rom upgrades with no issues.

Yes. I installed 9.2 over 9.1a +Flash kernel and it works just fine. To be honest I read all the comments about xxx upgrade on encrypted OP5 after that ... Sic. Glad it worked for me.

I wonder what can produce this problems. I personally like to have encrypted device, but makes me think twice before update to new ROM now.
Is there a way to check what kind of encryption is used ? I mean FDE or FBE (or both) ? Maybe the problem is there. I buy this phone quite recently and started with clean Oreo (with format data) so I probably ended with ext4/FBE. Maybe problematic cases used FDE+FBE ?
I would like to see someone find what can be the cause for this problems as clean install or reinstalling Rom ten times is not a solution :/

Afaik oxygen is using keymaster1 and lineage/omni/aosp are using keymaster3. That seems to be a problem.
The upgraded firmware is also a problem for old twrp builds using N libs.

Thanks for your help, I tried to flash this TWRP via fastboot but same issue as before, can't seem to ask for a password in order to decrypt storage. I'm trying to sideload 9.2 to see if it can work by flashing on it again, we never know... In either case I'm screwed lol.
Any way to decrypt storage using a flashable zip in TWRP? Like no_verity, etc ? I feel like the answer is no since it will say that it is decrypted, but it won't decrypt the data that is already encrypted (would be too easy right?).
Hello Everyone, First sorry for my Bad English
I created this topic for discussions about the available ROMs for Addison...Cause like me, I think other's users are looking for a good ROMs, so in this place the users can give their opinion and recommendations.
Yeah I'm looking for the same, they're no official/stable roms available currently to use as daily driver
Just rooted retail global 7.1 is good for me.
Cause I can't find an aosp roms support moto display feature.
try xperience 11. it supports mods.

Hello everyone, this is the second ROM I made for V30
This ROM is from Samgsung A6
IMPORTANT: VENDOR PARTITION NEEDED BEFORE FLASHING!
Make sure you have VENDOR PARTITION on your device before flashing the rom or else you will get boot loop or brick. You can check the forum for how to enable vendor partition or treble on your device.
HOW TO MAKE VENDOR?
Use this file for creating vendor Partition by flash in twrp.
Make backup first before flashing.
Flash zip, go to wipe and advance, select resize partition, then select vendor, choose where you want to create the vendor partition from( system recommend, and also the size should be 512 and above)
After creating the vendor partition, reboot recovery and format system, vendor and caches. Now you can flash rom.(copy from miui11 port same work on SE9.2)
The vendor zip is herehttps://1drv.ms/u/s!ArSQ9UltpYJiuQsXTObSAjJZbJtI?e=8MX9JA
BUGS:NFC,Can't stop AOD in setting(You can delete in ROOT EXPLORER)
How install my rom
This rom is a backup ROM
1.UNZIP MY ROM TO SDCARD/TWRP
2.WIPE DATA
3.RESTORE MY ROM IN TWRP
4.REBOOT
This ROM has alredy get trCAMERA(GOOGLE CAMERA)
And GMS CORE
If you want install google play
Please flash GAPPS

Thank you for your hard work.
for your miui12 rom:
quick settings flashlight (torch) don't work;
and is there any way to port an fm radio for it.
for the USB files transfer the fix is to enable the USB debugging from the Developer options.
Noiiiice, just in case you need to have some feedbacks from your rom (or need for some testing), or hear the advice of other devs working on the v30, you can always stop by our telegram groups: t.me/LGEV30
Of course all the major updates will still get published here on XDA

Miui support dual sim on h930ds version bro?
I installed popular custom ROM like Derpfast for good gaming experience in my op7t. My gaming experience in oos11 was going worst because of FPS drop. But can't play pubg in Derpfast ROM it's continuesly showing storage access not available, but I access permission properly while lunching pubg. Same goes to COD, it's crushing after lunching.
then I flashed DOT OS but same happen here too.

Hello everyone! What is in your opinion best miui based rom? Cazanova, xiaomi.eu, miui mix?

All MIUI based custom roms are essentially xiaomi.eu. There used to be two MIUI based custom roms built from scratch on china stock miui, other being MIROOM, which is no longer in development. So, now everything is just EU.
All other roms repacks EU with varied degree of debloating and minor scripting tweaks (most of which are outdated and doesn't work). Bit better performance that users feels is related to more free ram due to debloating.
So, best bet is use EU rom, debloat it as per your preference and use it with DSB to make it perfect! (this setup along with 'Magisk Hide' is sufficient for most users)
Cherry on top would be, use Adguard or similar app to remove ads.
My setup.....
Advanced users can leverage Root with LiteSetRW.zip and NikGapp's Debloater script to remove even more stock apps.
If you don't need root after debloating, you can copy DSB created magisk module files to their respective system location and unroot.
Other "custom/repacked" roms exists because advance setup requires bit of manual efforts and understanding of which apps to (NOT)debloat, else it can end up in bootloop (easily recoverable by flashing EU again). But once you figure out personalized one time setup, it would be better than every other custom rom and can be replicated in EU updates in 10mins!
