Question Better miui - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hello everyone! What is in your opinion best miui based rom? Cazanova, xiaomi.eu, miui mix?

xiaomi.eu. Best for daily usage. I also think it has best stability from all customs. Thats why ppl use it as daily rom.

One OS is the best

All MIUI based custom roms are essentially xiaomi.eu. There used to be two MIUI based custom roms built from scratch on china stock miui, other being MIROOM, which is no longer in development. So, now everything is just EU.
All other roms repacks EU with varied degree of debloating and minor scripting tweaks (most of which are outdated and doesn't work). Bit better performance that users feels is related to more free ram due to debloating.
So, best bet is use EU rom, debloat it as per your preference and use it with DSB to make it perfect! (this setup along with 'Magisk Hide' is sufficient for most users)
Cherry on top would be, use Adguard or similar app to remove ads.
My setup.....
Advanced users can leverage Root with LiteSetRW.zip and NikGapp's Debloater script to remove even more stock apps.
If you don't need root after debloating, you can copy DSB created magisk module files to their respective system location and unroot.
Other "custom/repacked" roms exists because advance setup requires bit of manual efforts and understanding of which apps to (NOT)debloat, else it can end up in bootloop (easily recoverable by flashing EU again). But once you figure out personalized one time setup, it would be better than every other custom rom and can be replicated in EU updates in 10mins!

Hello Everyone, First sorry for my Bad English
I created this topic for discussions about the available ROMs for Addison...Cause like me, I think other's users are looking for a good ROMs, so in this place the users can give their opinion and recommendations.
Yeah I'm looking for the same, they're no official/stable roms available currently to use as daily driver
Just rooted retail global 7.1 is good for me.
Cause I can't find an aosp roms support moto display feature.
try xperience 11. it supports mods.

Android 9 & Custom ROMs

Hi,
I don't want to get into a debate about which custom ROM is the best. (The one you pick is likely the best for you right?) What I do want to get a handle on is people's experience with custom ROMs and Android Pie.
Is there a custom ROM that has done a better job at integrating the features of Pie after moving on from Oreo, and that currently is at an acceptable useful level?
There are a few out there currently, and they seem to have been working for a bit, but is it worth it to flash a daily driver to a Pie based ROM at this stage, or wait for awhile?
Thanks for your help,
Clay

Pie roms are mostly very stable now, pixel experience and havoc, both of which I tried worked perfectly for me, no problem. You should just try it

Yah There are so many roms out there but i will suggest you to go With Pixel Experience
i have switched many roms from last 2 months But whenever i switch I have never get the smoothness that i get from PE
Latest version of PE (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3830197) has almost no more bugs and it uses Android 9: PixelExperience_whyred-9.0-20181119-0216-OFFICIAL.zip
It's updated to recent security patches and works great.
Definitely usable for daily uses!
I'm using AOSP Extended Pie. So far, so good. It hasn't blown up my daily driver yet, so <fingers crossed>.

I'm using LineageOS 15.1 as daily driver. Yesterday I tried AOSPExtended Rom 6.0 and Havoc-OS. In my opinion AOSPExtended runs great but I didn't find an privacy manager like LineageOS. As second I tested Havoc-OS. Havoc-OS has implemented privacy manager. But In the Pixel Launcher in Havoc-OS I didn't find a option to deactivate the Google search bar.
But both ROMs looks very great.
OT: For my personal use, I don't want GoogleServices and PixelLauncher. F-Droid and Yalp store is enough for me. For my tests with Havoc-OS, of course, I replaced the Pixel Launcher with another Launcher from F-Droid.
Revolution OS Pie is very smooth and stable and has an awesome battery life
MCaosp best custom ROM Android Pie so far I have tested. Well-balanced. 120k on antutu and lots of drums.

What is the most stable GSI for this phone?

I'm not a huge fan of MIUI, so I would like to try some GSIs. Is there a GSI that's stable for daily use and with no bugs?
I've found that by now most of them are if you add the two manual vendor fixes required for Bluetooth and brightness.
The one downside though is that you lose VoLTE access and that MTP is broken if you're coming from a Oreo-based MIUI build.
Phh-treble AOSP is a base for almost all available gsi roms. Since PHH is the leanest purest AOSP of all, my guass would be that any derivative adds some bugs. BTW, phh 108 has December security patch, that matters in some cases (see a list of known critical issues disovered and fixed recently)

So pixel dust, this rom dont have a ton of features...... both have less than miui. But these romes are not stable, i had problems with some apps on every gsi.... I dont recommend them. Better stay on miui and wait for normal custom rom for our max 3.

I went through several custom ROMs and ended at Android 10 crDroid. Even though most custom ROM devs now switched to Android 11 (R) development, from my experience the R ROMs are still too new and too buggy for daily use. A custom ROM probably won't help you save much battery, but for RAM management, you'll see massive improvements given how terrible it is on stock.

Almost all of the custom ROM available for Mi A2 lite is very stable and bugless. Ram management was never a problem in custom ROMs and battery life provided by customs is very near to stock ROM ( keep in mind the battery is very old).
Banking apps should work fine. But it also depends upon the app itself. You can pass safety net and app requiring only safety net should work fine.

There isn't a "best", your experience will determine which is the best for you. I have tried POSP, arrow, crDroid 7 and all of them are very stable and up-to-date. They differ only in customizations and such. Search what do you want and see the specific features of each ROM.
Battery life and stability cannot be compared across users and different ROMs. You can choose any one of the ROMs, all of then are very good for daily usage.

Question Xiaomi.eu for mi 11x(Aliothin)

So from miui 13 xioami.eu is not working properly with mi11x (aliothin).
As xioami.eu refuses to support mi11x though alioth and aliothin are the same device.
(They said and I am quoting here "This is intentional. The ROM didn't have proper support for aliothin to begin with (when you say "it was working fine" you don't really know what you're talking about because you didn't notice the issues). We removed the remaining aliothin junk. So yeah, it's not meant to work on aliothin.")
Anyone have any miui 13 custom rom suggestion? Not based on china base
I also ended up in a boot loop, got "nv data corrupted msg" in miui recovery. Flashed miui official V13.0.4.0.SKHINXM via usb otg and booted successfully.
What's slot A/B in TWRP?
xiaomi.eu was in slot A and miui official in slot B.
I'm not able to flash xiaomi.eu android 12, not able to install from otg. Wiped slot A but not able to copy zip to data.
Currently using android 13 official.
Yeah, miui eu doesn't support aliothin, which i find so awkward.
But i managed to flash miui eu latest, and everything works fine except for the camera. It's not usable at all. When you take a shot , the app closes and nothing is saved.
No matter what app you use for camera , it's the same thing.

The display setting will not have the 120hz option.
This happens when xiaomi.eu deliberately removes code related to aliothin. I still don't understand the reason behind it. And it's just frustrating.
And nobody should recommend xioami.eu for mi11x.
Hoping other custom MIUI in future that will support mi11x.
I own Mi 11x and I currently have Xiaomi.eu 12.5.18 stable installed. And the battery life is terrible
I was thinking of updating to miui13 hoping for better performance and I came across this thread.
What do you guys suggest?
This device is great except the proximity sensor and battery life, which is a serious turn down

Well for battery life you can root and install naptime + servicely. This helps a lot in aosp rom.
Also lower the clock speed of every cpu cluster by 100-200 (max). For this use franko kernel manager.
You can this on miui also. I never did this in miui.
Basically there are **** ton off background services and wake locks prevent your phone from sleeping and consumes more and more battery. Above mentioned apps let you choose how android behaves when screen is off also limiting unnecessary background processes.

Well most banking apps working with magisk + shamiko + safteynet fix.
Here's a tutorial. What banking apps do you use? Most upi apps will work.
Naptime works without root using some adb commands. But I don't know how usefull it will be. Because it doesn't freeze the background services when not in use.
If you don't want to root and want a good battery backup. Stock is the best option. Just use some debloating tools to uninstall unnecessary mi services.
Other wise you can try aosp + kernel. I don't if that will pass safteynet.
