Looking for a way to rearrange the icons around the notch as it seems they are all gathered on the right side and tend to be hidden - is there an app?

I'm trying to find a mod/widget/or theme that I can put tabs flush against a home screen (vertical). These tabs would all be folders/apps. And if possible customizable titles for the tabs.
Anyone know of something I could use? Thanks in advance!
The only thing I know of that comes close would be Circle Launcher. It can be used in a vertical or horizontal straight line. I'm sure you could maybe position it against one side and you can customize the icons/labels.
Good luck!

I miss the lack of possibilities for sorting/arranging the size, numbers and sorting of the icons on the homescreen of JB 4.1.1
Of course the beautifully layouted homescreen looks nice, but there is a lot of unused space, not enough space for all icons and no possibilities for sorting the icons. In fact on the newer larger screen, there is till the same amount of icons as with the older smaller screens.
I would like:
- to sort the apps on the menu and homescreen, p.ex. alphabeticaly and not having to wade constantly thru the screens to search thru the topsy turvy order.
- to add comfortably more icons than allowed by the standard 4x4-structure.
There is the Multicon-app, but its not working anymore on 4.1.x
- to clear the bottom line with the four standard shortcuts (that is 3 and the
Menu) and to use this space as well for icons, shortcuts and widgets.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?
Nova Launcher!
So I really like having the smaller taskbar height. but enabling that setting decreases the actual icon size waaay to much. I used photoshop to scale the icons from the standard height to the small icon taskbar height and it just looks SO much better.

I've been playing around in regedit, but I've only been able to modify the width of the highlighted size, which isnt what i was looking to do at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I'm running Start8 to get the startmenu back, but thats probably irrelevent.

Is there a way through Themes or elsewhere to reduce the wasted padding space the at exists around apps and widget icons on the home screen? It seems like they could have fit an entirely additional row in there if the padding would be reduced to something more reasonable.
Easiest way would be to use another launcher. On the other hand, you could decompile the sense launcher and give it a go.

Click to collapse
decompile sense launcher (prism.apk)
and look at res/values/dimens.xml
The way the phone ui manages the punch hole space leaves a lot to be desired.
It would be so much better if the status bar just remained black instead of trying to full screen apps by just extending the top color of the apps.
Even the pull down quick menu doesn't even use the extra screen real estate. Makes no sense and looks odd.
I have full screen mode enabled via systemui tuner per app as a work around for now but it simply cuts off the status bar instead of using the space.
The hide the punch hole option should include an option to simply blackout the status bar in portrait mode but keep notifications, clock and icons. It would look better and still utilize the area.
Is there a way to make the status bar consistently black?
