I was on custom ROM and I installed miui 10 1.0.6 version but can't change region from China to India .
It just force close every time .
Don't know what to do how to change the region from China to India .
Had the same issue. You need to flash stock rom via fastboot from a PC with miflash, not TWRP.
So you have to download the fastboot rom (which is around 2.2gb size) and extract it, then in miflash you just select the folder you extracted and flash it.
Notice in bottom right corner in miflash you set if you want to relock bootloader and format data and such.
You can get the fastboot rom from here: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

I just bought the redmi 6 pro which unfortunately is the Chinese version but not minding almost all I see in the phone is in Chinese and I use Google translate to read few things here and to be frank, I love the phone and will keep maximising how interesting it will be. I saw an update alert in the settings to download and install an update as shown in the picture below but I keep seeing people who write about unlocking bootloaders and tweaking their phones. Apart from installing custom ROMs, themes, etc; what else is in this hype of unlocking bootloaders? Hope it is safe to update from OTA? Though I use to be tech zealous about custom in my previous Android phones but I've come to just love and stay in peace with the official ROM of this device and wouldn't want altering any of it's official settings.
If you have China version with CN Miui (ODICNFD) you can do OTA update.
You need to unlock bootloader if you have China version with Indian Miui (ODMMIFD) and want to do OTA update.
You must be sure which version of phone and which version of Miui you have

I have modified bootloader and installed Indian rom on CN version
If I check my product name
fastboot getvar product
It says sakura_ Indian
That why I can't do a OTA update without unlock bootloader because I have CN version with modified bootloader.
Just check your version in fastboot mode (btw your box of Redmi 6 pro has to be red and with Chinese characters. If it is correct you can do OTA update without unlock bootloader.

First of you have to unlock bootloader. Then Check in fastboot mode name of your phone. "fastboot getvar product". If you have sakura just unpack Miui global fastboot rom and edit flash_all.bat and flash_all.sh by notepad++ and change sakura_india to sakura. Then install it with miflash. Use only clean all, don't use clean all and lock!

Hi I just got my Mi Max 3 (I ordered the blue 128gb CN version But I got the black 128gb CN version but thats another story) Ofcoruse the supplier had unlocked the bootloader and flashed Gobal version of miui 10.1 and that version I suppose should have enabled the anti rollback on the phone
The first thing I did was to flash twrp with treble support with fastboot flash recovery twrp.img then downloaded xiaomi.eu miui 10.2 rom and removed the ARB files from the zip file (only kept 3 firmware files) and flashed it successfully. I have read that if you have anti rollback enabled you need to flash the twrp.img from the booted twrp recovery but I never needed to do that so my question is therea way to check anti rollback status on phone? I know that the fastboot command fastboot getvar anti does not work on mi max 3.
I know that I can check the roms you dowload but I want to check my phones status? Any adb commands I can use?
I want to know if the supplier flashed the global rom miui 10.1 rom without the ARB files
I have redmi note 5 pro and I have installed the latest orange fox recovery in it. Please tell me how can i downgrade my miui 11.0.3.0 to miui 10.2.1.0 oreo without bricking my device.
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure (wait for a proper answer) but I think ROMs from MIUI 9.5.19.0 and above are ARB4. I recommend that you flash a fastboot ROM that include the proper firmware for Oreo.
Fastboot ROMs: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/whyred/
yes I recomend fastboot way too, not recovery's
I will like to ask people why recovery downgrading is risky as with custom recovery u can have n number of possibilities

Thanks buddy for ur help, I successfully downgraded to 10.2.1.0.
One more question, what is the minimum ROM version that i can downgrade to (I have ARB 4)?
Now your ARB version is 4.
You can download the offical ROM image package and exract it.
Then open the file called "flash_all.bat". Look for "set CURRENT_ANTI_VER" in this file and look at the ARB version of the package.
If the anti level is 4 , it's safe to downgrade to this version.
If it's below 4, DO NOT flash the ROM or your phone will be bricked.

open the .bat file in notepad and remove this portion (depending on whether u use flash_all or flash_all_lock bat file)
also, please note to flash ONLY the original region of the firmware version to prevent bricking your device if you are using flash_all_lock.bat

flash back the original firmware and lock back bootloader
as i have mentioned, let me remind again, please only flash only the original region firmware of your device else if u lock your bootloader then you will have a bricked device. you can only lock your bootloader after flashing the original region of your firmware.
for example: your device comes with global firmware originally, u can only flash global fastboot rom, if u flash india firmware and lock your bootloader, you will brick your device
ok i m trying
