That's a question and doesn't belong in this subsection but in the Q&A section.
Your answer lies in exposed and substratum theming. Only way these days.
It's very difficult to theme oreo properly because apk tool still can't decompile the Oreo system properly.

Theme Question?!

I was wondering if it is possible to change the background of the text that is under the icons?
From all the theme's that I've seen they all seem to have the same background color and I wanted to know if it was possible to change it to another color or to make it transparent?
Just wondering, I tried to search for it but couldn't this anywhere.
Thanks!
post in the Questions about themes thread that is stickied.
Thank you

Transparent notification bar

Is there anyway you can make your GS2 have a clear top status bar? I like having it clear as opposed to having a black bar across. Just seems cleaner that way.
Thanks!
It's doable and you should probably see one pop up in the themes section before too long.
wish it was as easy as just replacing the statusbar_background.9.png in systemUI but there's a bit more to it than that.
check the themes sections.
my miui theme has a clear status bar and should now work for all deodexed roms.
also posted a tutorial on how to do it on other themes /roms with files needed.

[Q] Blue text and icons on status bar?

Hey all,
I have searched through this forum and the web on how to mod the status bar on the S4 on Tmobile. I would like to change text and icons to blue instead of white. I have seen screenshots from users that have posted on other topics but can't find a way to actually change the color.
Anyone have any info how I can get this done? I would like the same style icons though and not ICS or those from the Kitchen.
Thank you!

If you're rooted you can probably use Xposed and Wanam module to change the status bar color.

Thanks for reply. Isn't Xposed a ROM though? I'm trying to do it on a rooted phone with stock rom.
Thanks again
Do a search for Xposed framework

Opaque notification drawer?

With some ROMs, the notification drawer is transparent or semi-transparent, but I find it much easier to read when it's solid black. I've found tons of apps & posts about how to make it transparent, but not non-transparent. Any thoughts?

Some ROM's let you set any image as the background of the notification and quick settings menus. If so, just pick a color you like, make a JPG of that color, and use it. however most ROM's that let you do that also give you the option of selecting a solid color.

Thanks. Any thoughts if the ROM doesn't have that feature?
Download xblast module or wanam lers you chanfe everything from clock color/size/position and all colors in system ui
??
I'm assuming you don't know about the xposed app? Download xposed off of xda. There is a whole forum and then download the module gravitybox and you can change the color of it. And you don't have to change your rom. It's really simple.

Coloring Quick Settings?

I know it is possible to change the grey background of the Quick Settings by installing Cm12 themes.
But is this somehow possible on a stock rom? All of the Xperia themes change every other color except the Quick Settings.
Is there any Xposed module to change these colors?

LPThemer works great on CM and AOSP. I don't know about stock.
