This is ONLY for the H932. There are no ASSERT checks, so you better pay attention. If you flash this on any other model, you will brick your phone.
Also, I was in a hurry so there is no progress indicator. Just let it flash, you will know when it is done -- it doesn't take THAT long.
Flash this zip: link in TWRP.
Code:
SHA256: [B]6e69250ed78166865501491501e49419cd90e745f422c9744a79ef4736193a7f[/B]
You can dirty flash it over 10d or 20k.
It is 100% stock. The only change I made was removing recovery-from-boot.p, but it appears that isn't enough to keep recovery from getting wiped if you don't flash Magisk.
After flashing this, you MUST flash Magisk again or you will lose TWRP and root -- and your data will be encrypted, and have to use lafsploit all over again.
So boot to TWRP.
Flash this zip
Flash Magisk

Awesome. So just for my ease of mind, this is just like any other ROM I would flash, right? I'm on Lineage and if, for whatever reason, I want to go back to using stock LG, I just boot into TWRP, wipe everything, flash the ROM and Magisk and I'm good to go? I'm pretty sure that's how it goes but again, just to ease my mind for future reference. I may just keep this zip on my device for safe keeping. Thanks

Hate to be "that guy". Getting an error 6 and the sha256 checks out good on my computer. Is it possible the transfer from computer to sd card corrupts the file?
EDIT Checksum is good after the transfer to sd card.
Same here error 6 re downloaded tried again same error 6
Error 6 for me too. Not sure about everyone else but I had to download it through the Google drive app as I couldn't access the file at all with 4 different internet browsers I tried. Didn't get an error but it just kept showing me a blank screen when trying the link.
Probably just a drive issue
redacted
Error 6 also. Downloaded to pc and copied to sd card.
Error 6. Damn,
The first line in the updater script is missing a quotation mark at the end. Not sure if that would cause an issue.

I just re-downloaded and I didn't get an error this time. I was trying a dirty flash and It said it flashed successfully but it was done as soon as it started so I think something is still messed up. I wiped cache and dalvik and it still said 20K when it booted back up.
It worked for me
yah it worked but anyway you can make it so it doesn't autoreboot to system after installation.. yes its my fault.. I let it run, wasn't sure how long it was going to take.. walked to get coffee, walked back, and was already rebooting to android. I hard powered it off and did hardware key combo, was hoping TWRP was still there but nope. Factory reset device. Good thing I did twrp backup so no real lose for me.. But do I have to do all of the root steps again. to get twrp back. or can I do something quicker? maybe just run linux part only?

The fastest way, assuming that you have an external SD card reader and can put this file on your SD from your computer is the following:
Download This : TMobile Update Thanks to BeachHead for modifying it.
Once downloaded rename it to Update.zip.
Place in root of SDCard.
Hold the volume down button and turn the phone on. Press in the corner to get into the recovery mode. On the options select the update.zip. Let the process begin. The file is modified to not check for things. This will reload all of the firmware as well as the system. After that is done, do a factory reset. Your phone should now boot to 2.2 . If this does not work let me know and I'll do the more involved guide.

Argh - HELP
I flashed the SBF 2.2 BOOT and it booted to the T-Mo screen which is where it is currently stuck. I'll give it a few minutes.
I got where you are at now. Download this SBF and flash it. http://www.multiupload.com/ZZ4TU8W7UQ
Its is the earlier leaked TMobile build. Once you have flashed this root your phone and install clockwork. Let me know when all of that is done. I should be done with dinner by then and can help the rest of the way. You will need the zip file I posted earlier as well as the 2.2 nandroid backup. Leave the Update.zip in the root of your sdcard, and put the nandroid backup in the apkrev folder on the sdcard. Once those are in place, boot into clockworkmod. Wipe system and cache. Then do a restore of the 2.2 Nandroid. Do not reboot yet. Now apply the update.zip. Do not reboot yet. Now do another system wipe. Now reboot the phone. You should be all set to go.
Dude it was actually fine. It loaded up and worked perfectly, I have FroYo and you are the man! Now I have a camera problem.

YES!!!!!!!!!!
You have to boot the right firmware. I realized that last night. You need to get that update.zip file to run and bring the proper firmware inline with the system image. I was screwing around last night playing with the different combos, and discovered that it wasn't mapping resources right. I lost use of my SD card.

I have just rooted my Google Nexus and it went very well. I have installed the phone encryption which also went well... I installed an application that I bought on Google Play called phone locator Pro and it crashed when i opened it, so i submitted a bug report and decided to reboot phone, when the phone boots back up and I unlock it with my pin the msg phonelocator has crashed appears and it takes presidence of the screen and I cant select the OK button to get rid of it - so I cant use my phone at all!
I cant even restore my backup because the phone cant read the virtual sd card in clockwork recovery because its encrypted! How can I get around this, Im freaking out and my heart is beating at 200 bpm!

I think worst case that you might have to flash the phone again and you might lose your data. But with everything backed up to Gmail as far as contacts and things, you can recover. At least it isn't hard bricked.
I know that doesn't sound too reassuring but all is not lost! I would suggest when you get it back and running that you make sure everything works and do a reboot before encrypting it.
I assume you already have the toolkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400871
See if you can get into CWM from the toolbox.

Yup, I have the toolkit, used that to root my phone, but it will want to reboot the phone, I wonder if I can remove the APK somehow without being in recovery?
As one of the users pointed out, you have to reflash a custom rom again, you will obviously loose your contacts but it better than loosing your nexus.
1.get a custom rom, not stock because it will erase cwm.
2.transfer it to the SD card
3.boot into cwm using boot combination.
4. Wipe data/factory reset and cache.
5.choose *choose zip from SD card.*
6.reflash your rom then your gapps package if u have one.
If this doesn't help you will have to try fast boot method
Eligible XDA Developer GRAVITY 360
Most likely fastboot is the right method for you, I can't explain much as I'm mainly a cwm user

The phone has encryption...... It wont mount the partition where the ROM is and I cant do a factory reset because it fails when it tries to delete the data partition because its encrypted and the android secure partition.

Will this need to boot into fastboot, if it will it wont work, since the partition that the ROM is on wont be visible, this gets decrypted later into the boot of the phone.
Just hold down vol. Up and down and power at the same time.
Type fastboot devices into terminal on your computer and see if it shows.
The partition should be visible, just not the data on it.
And it should only be the data partition that is encrypted anyway.

I did similar with my HTC Desire and learnt fast! Appreciate the advice too - I got the phone just yesterday
I am now just reapplying the custom ROM I use and NEVER using encryption again.
RIght now I am having a issue with wiping. I do a full wipe and then use a super wipe and I try to install a new rom and I get the screen after I boot up and the old boot animation comes up from the old rom it get the android is upgrading screen it finishes and i get to the home screen without signing into my google account and then my phone reboots after a while and it gets stuck at the main boot animation. I am able to get to the bootloader and recovery. I repeat doing a full factory reset and everything I just described happens again. I can't seem to get a full wipe to work properly. Anyone have any sort of idea what might be going on?
What happens if you completely re-flash the stock images and start over? That's always a good policy if you can't get a ROM to boot.

1- you don't need super wipe, just wipe data /a cache
2- use the latest cmw http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31045760&postcount=457
3- make sure the ROM you downloaded is for your device (maguro=gsm / toro=verizon)

I really hate to start a new thread but I really can't find a reason/solution to this issue. It's just as the title says. I tried flashing the MIUI ROM just as any ROM and got a failed error. Then went to do my nandroid restore and it just hangs on the splash screen (boot screen). Anyway I thought there could be a bad download so I took out the SD and redownloaded synergy on my laptop, then put it back in the phone and nothing but the nandroid should let me restore. I even tried moving the files to the internal SD and nothing. The only thing I can think of is to Odin back to stock? Is it the same method as rooting? I'm sure I can find that out, but I'm just confused why it seems TWRP doesn't want to work. Thanks for any help, it's 4 a.m. here and I'm dog tired.

are you able to flash a different rom, say a stock rom? It's possible you got a corrupted TWRP download.
Since they just released another update 2.4.3, you might want to try and download the zip file, wipe cashe and davick (may want to do it three times). Reboot back into TWRP 2.4.3 and see if it gives you some better luck.
I've had Nandroid backup that didn't work for whatever reason. I didn't test it prior to needing it, and got burned. It just wouldn't show up in the restore menu.
On a side note, what error did you get when you tried flashing MIUI?
Try rebooting recovery when you are in recovery already once before flashing/restoring anything anything.

Ok, I was'nt sure. I just went back to stock. I just wanted to know what exactly was going on and why.
The only thing different on my phone is I got a 32 gig SD card. I transfed some of my files a couple days before doing anything of this. That's the only thing I can think of. Even after root/unroot it STILL won't do my nandroid restore. I had so much time and work into the apps I set up, games, ect. Really freakin sucks. I even went into the the TWRP backup folder and made sure the backup files were there before doing anything. I never even got to flash many ROMs, I kinda just stayed on Jellybomb.
I had the uTorrent app installed and I noticed that it changed a lot of files with the "u" in front that the uTorrent app has. Anyone know why that is?

UPDATE:
Flash using **CWM from Freegee**( I previously recommended Philz for the updated look and features but it is SUPER inconsistent and unfortunately unreliable, I do not mean any offense to its creator/developer, it is just too much hassle and this thread is meant for easy flashing and I was already posting the work around for the Philz bootloop issue which killed the purpose of easy flashing...)
Remember to make a nandroid/backup using CWM, if you forgot to make one, PM me to help you sideload a Rom using ADB. (will save you the hassle of going through stock and go directly to any custom rom of your preference)
Hello dear people with an E980:
I'm here to share a backup I made for my personal use to avoid the hassle of having to return to stock to flash the VUPMP stable rom and deleting the recovery folder inside the Rom, pretty much in other words it's just an "easy-to-flash" backup.
Rom comes from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt...om-20140920-vupmp-gpro-sg3-stable-lg-t2902595
Here is the backup!, it is flashable so don't extract it, it includes a boot.img (kernel) so you can restore from any rom, no need to come from stock:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655048316
MD5: f50a74eb5ceb7600d0ea609192d5c258
On this particular backup, I applied the following fixes for E980:
-Volume restore fix
-Video recording fix
-Removed a system apk which seemed to be a calendar in viet (for the sake of clean and stock look).
It is highly recommended to wipe before flashing:
-Data (without wiping data/media, if you don’t know how to do this just ask in the Q&A section or PM me!!)
-Cache & Dalvik cache
-System
-Please, don't report bugs if doing a "dirty" flash.
Special thanks to:
@datphu2811 for developing such a cool ROM
@Chairizkuro for the video recording fix
anyone who contributed with this files linked above!
Remember:
Flash at your own risk!

Can you describe your problem? What kind of bootloop did you get?
A) it kept booting to recovery (that's what the zero zip is for)
B) it kept stuck in the lg logo
If B)
Did you performed a full wipe of data (without data media), system and cache? Did the flash took an unexpected amount of time (2 seconds instead of 2 minutes)?
Additionally, why did you totted back? Didn't you made a backup first?, in case you made a backup, did the recovery rendered useless after flashing my backup?
Did you get any lokifying errors?

Please let the person answer those questions before walking away scares, I've tried my own backup several times and I assure you it works properly if following the instructions. Even further, it's common sense to do a backup even without being warned about it.
OK yeah thanks I will still try it. Thanks for making this. It looks super cool and easy.

I checked the re-downloaded one and they match. I used an Md5 checker?? So am I on the right track by extracting and copying that folder to clockwork backup? Then in CWM go to Mounts and Storage and format /data, format /system, format /cache and wipe dalvik. THEN restore the folder copied earlier. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!!

Oh! OH! OH!!, I know what's going on, this is a flashable zip lol, you are not supposed to extract it, sorry if I provided misleading instructions so I can change them
AWESOME
Loving this ROM everything works great!!
Can't get LTE To Stick
Everything works great but the one thing bothering me is I can't seem to get Global + LTE to stick after following the steps:
- Input 5457#*988# from dial pad
- Find "Network Mode" set value "Global + LTE"
- Find "CDMA Subsciption" set value "USIM"
When I try to switch from NIV to USIM the phone instantly reboots and reverts the network back to WCDMA. Does anyone know how to fix this?
