Can disable touch function of my tabS and use it with mouse?

Never tried this personally. touchscreen CAN be disabled, with /sys/devices/.../power stuff, you can try finding out yourself.

Hi Guys,
I am currently using a Cell Pro Rom and I find that my it keeps flipping to landscape too often when I have my phone in portrait.
I always have to give it a shake to fix itself and it does get a bit annoying.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
(I remember I may have (not certain) that I might have changed the Sensor registry when I first got it, but I am not certain, does anyone know the default measurements?)
Any ideas are welcomed.

Did you ask in the Cell Pro ROM thread? Seems a more logical place to ask. I tried that one out and did not have the issue you are describing. Good ROM too.
There is a G-Sensor Calibration in Settings- System.

I'm fearing the fact that I may have changed something in the registery as I got all excited the day i got the phone and went through the tweaks in the wiki.
I am not certain if I made any changes regarding the g sensor so I was wondering if anyone knows the defaults or if there is a .cab or ROM to flash to system restore.
Any clues?

To me the g-sensor is a gimmick. I find it annoying and totally useless so I've turned mine off altogether. If I want the screen to rotate I push the keyboard out. I really don't see any use for it.
I did think the only use I had for it was the face down hands free thing but have since decided that I'd be quite happy to push a button for that. Hardly a hassle.
I have noticed that my Gyro and Compass are Not Responding to movement of the phone, and I am wondering if its a driver issue or a hardware one. Can any of you boffins give me some advice on how I may resolve this please ?

Download "Z-Device Test" from the play store, there you can find out if it's hardware related or not. I also would like to know what Rom/Kernel/Recovery combination you have, or is everything stock?
Well, I'll be honest and admit that I never ever seen a compass in my note 2, though I'm sure I seen it in the original note. If anyone could point me to it, I'd appreciate it. I did look in apps but not there.

Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded it, and it would suggest that the sensor IS working ok, but the phone is not recognising it for some reason. Would the kernel be a reason ? This is driving me nuts...

Hmm, are you on stock Rom? If so you can calibrate gsensor under settings - display (i think)...
Or you can try this if you are rooted
Or get this app and if I'm not mistaken it lets you calibrate the g-sensor.

i bought the game "Threes!" yesterday and it works fine when i use my finger to play but if i try to use the S Pen the Game does not recognize any input, it's like the S Pen digitizer is turned off.
Is there any way to fix this (besides hoping that the developer will fix it). Or does anyone know what the Problem might be, so that i could give the developer some hints as to what he has to change.
It just seems strange because this is the first app i encountered that does not work with the s pen.
edit: just tested if the gestures still work and they do so the digitizer seems to be on

Some games don't support S pen
Do you know why they dont support it?
I havent looked into Android programming and note 2 programming but it seems to me that you dont have to implement s pen support, if you would have to i think a whole lot more apps wouldnt support it.
Hi everyone !
I have an issue on my One X when I'm using the g sensor. For instance, if I use it to take a photosphere, the points start to slowly drift to the side.
I'm on CM11 M7 but i've had the issue for a long time even on CM10.
What's happening ?
I rebooted while pressing volume up and it seemed to work. I managed to make a small photoshpere. I tried to make another one and the g sensor was acting weird again.
No idea ?

have you tried to calibrate your g-sensor?
Yes, I've used GPS status and advanced tools that both have a calibration functionality. That didn't work.
Maybe there is another way of doing it that I'm not aware of.

have you tried a sense rom?
I have the same issue on my HTC One S ville running CM11. I was thinking about downgrading to CM10 but that doesn't seem to fix it as you say.
I would really like photosphere to work correctly. Does anybody else have this problem (running stock rom), any fixes?
It keeps on frezing... even if i don`t use it....sent it back..got a new model...same thing.... is there a fix or something? pls help..

Are you certain that only the touchscreen hangs? Do try pressing on the device buttons and see if the phone responds in any way (visually, on screen, or maybe even vibrate/sounds). If not, then I'd suggest doing a factory reset first. If yes, then we will try and see how we could go about this.

Yes, only the touchscreen frezes...i can use the phone if i can unlocked it..and the pone works...i can get calls and all the rest...only the touchscreen frezees... i try factory reset...but still the same...and it frezees random...1 mx 2 /day...
Please ensure firmware and apps are updated to latest version. Please also check if TalkBack is enabled. This is an Accessibility setting. If this setting is enabled the touch screen may behave differently and appear to be defective. Instead of one tap to open an item it will require tapping once to highlight then double tap to open. Also when swiping it will require using two fingers instead of one. To disable using above method just described, please go to Apps/Settings/Accessibility/Talkback - turn off.
If problem still continues then it may be hardware related and will require sending in for warranty service.
