So I recently move service over to AT&T. I have an unlocked Note 5 from Sprint (SM-N920P). It activated fine, but it did not have Data. I created the new APN and now I have 3G data.
I can not get 4g coverage anywhere... I should be able to use bands 2 and 4 with ATT&T. I have made sure LTE is enabled in ##3282#
Also, (this just started happening) when someone calls me, their number shows up as +86 5237-1234 instead of (865)237-1234
Oh, and update profile and update PRL seem to call sprint servers still because they wil not connect and error out.
Any ideas?

Bought my phone form Rogers. LTE was working fine.
Was going to USA and paid an online company to send me unlock code.
Used it and went using Tmobile which only has EDGE data.
Just got back swapped back in my SIM From fRogers and can only get EDGE speeds.
Tried reboots rmoving SIM card.
Also made sure settigns were correct for Rogers APNs and also that toggle was on for GPS/HSPA/LTE.
To no avail.
Briefly, I toggled on and off the apn setting from ROgers LTE to tethering LTE and low and behold it seemed to work.
But now it is back to stuck on EDGE and nothibg I am doing can help.
Can this be a byproduct of the unlock?
Is my LTE faulty?
I s there some hidden menu where perhaps a setting can be changed for a fix?
I am depserate as the alternative is to return the phone and they are on backorder everywhere now.
There is no lte on tmobile yet. Second the tmobile note 2 has dormant radios that will only activate the lte capability by software update.
Im going to research your problem a little more ill send you a pm as to why it isnt going back to lte functionality if I find out something first...

appreciated!
I have a Canadian note 2 that had working LTE.I had it unlocked via a code emailed to me then next used it on tmobile at edge speeds.
Since returning home i cant get back onto data speeds above edge despite reboots.Simcard/battery pulls.
I ensured my network and apn were correct and that in setting under mobile the toggelchoice for auto including gsm//hspa/LTE was selected.
Are there perhaps some deeper settings via dialer code than might be able to turn back on the hspa/lte radios?
I get this text when 4g lte comes back on when getting out of wi fi range. 122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. 0605040710000041637469766174653A64743D3135. I have to switch. To 4g manually and then back to lte to get lte back. Any help?

roughmouth, I have the same problem on three lg Optimus f3 (android 4.1.2 ) phones. We just switched from t-mobile to att. I didn't realize it was happening when the phone switched from wifi to the cell network (4g lte), but that makes sense. As you probably know 122 is the number that is being messaged, and the long # is the content of the message. This started happening when I unlocked the phone from t-mobile, switched to ATT and reset the APN because I was not getting data over the att cell network. I called att support and the rep, who was very knowledgable, checked the mms setup - no problems there. she could not identify the problem and my version of android does not have a way to block text numbers. The other thing that occurs to me is that in changing the APN info I used setup data I got off an android forum, because the setup info I got from att support did not work. So it is possible that data in one of the fields I entered, which included MMSC, MMS proxy, etc. is the cause of the outgoing message that then gets kicked back because 122 is not a valid text address. I am not knowledgeable about this stuff.

Sorry. I rarely use txt & MMS. I pretty much use Hangouts and Viber to chat with everyone I know.
By the way, if touch tone DTMF is not working, try to change the DTMF from Short to Long in Phone settings.
I have a T-Mobile edge and edge plus, both have band 12. One of the offices i work at only gets band 12.

Ofc the tmo S6 has band 12 support. I meant the verizon S6.

It's the same one that's everywhere online for TMO LTE, it's not device specific, in fact the same settings are used for all LTE enabled phones, even iPhones. I'd be shocked if it wasn't either the 1st or 2nd result after a Google search.
I once had Verizon Edge+, and used it on T-Mobile.
Add and use the following APN.
Name t-mobile US
apn
fast.-tmobile.com
mmsc http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile/mms/wapenc
apn type default,supl,mms
Leave all other settings as is.
For MMS to work, make sure you add "mms" in APN Type field.
Moreover, once in a while, you'll get an annoying popup saying that the sim card is not Verizon etc. If rooted, just use Titanium Backup and freeze the "activation" apk. If not rooted, use Package Disabler Pro, and the disable the aforementioned apk.
Good luck.
the issue is in you are using Verizon S6 Edge+ on Tmobile network, you can't use data while on phone call.
it doesn't pickup band 12, only works on band 4 etc, which loose the data if phone call picked up.'
is there any way around?

My note 3 did this going from verizon to tmobile. A workaround i found was to switch the network settings from 4g or global to 3g or 2g only and then make the call. Touch tone would work, then after hanging up switch network settings back to 4g or global. Hope this helps you.

Let me first start out by saying that I know people have been saying to never do *228 on LTE or phones with SIMs. I was doing it for years on my Gnex and never had a problem, it even updated the PRL in some cases.
Recently I was in a rural area with my 5X and it was bouncing between 3G and LTE a lot, I figured why not perform an update just in case. My phone was served 53977 and been stuck on 3G ever since. I tried taking the SIM out and rebooting many times. It just won't serve me the other PRL for LTE.
Wife's identical phone has 15457. Is there a way for me to download the PRL off her phone and serve it to mine manually?
I'm on CM13.0 - 20160610 Nightly. I think I'm on the latest baseband M8994F-2.6.32.1.1 and vendor. TWRP recovery.
Did a factory reset...flashed factory image. It is stuck in LTE now. Under "Service state" Voice: Out of service / Data: In service
I can't make calls. Nobody knows where to find the PRL file?
have you tried just calling Verizon Wireless and explaining your problem of not being able to make calls? They can probably remotely re-provision your phone.
I try to do as much as possible on my own, since I still have unlimited data I don't like to call VZW for anything. I think you're right I may have to do that at this point.
The PRL is the preferred roaming list, I don't believe it has anything to do with native coverage on Verizon, only updated roaming partners and towers.
You should not have to update the PRL on the 5x. Do a factory reset, and have Verizon activate a new Nano Sim for you. Just put the sim in and you're good to go. No need to mess with any APN settings either.
Just got the OP3 trying see if I can live with it on Verizon in US who is my main carrier. I also have ATT US sim in the sim2 slot and I show LTE on it. Here is what I cant figure out:
- I want VZW (sim1) for voice & text only knowing I cannot get LTE anymore. Yes I get voice and text from my first 3 hrs testing
- I want ATT (sim2) for all data
1. VZW what network type do I want in Sim1 setting? Global
2. ATT same here what network type do I need?
I found that when I am on a call sim1 I cannot surf web, etc, no data and I get ! on ATT sim2...but I have ATT sim2 set for my data not working on a call?
Use Textra for texing and single sends fine:
3. With this setup can I do not MMS text anymore well large character text msg?
4. Do I need to use another app?
Any help if you a Verizon user with dual sims would help...thx
Your data is not working on Verizon therefore you cannot receive MMS. Can't use att data to download a msg that was sent through Verizon's network. In regards of global. Verizon is CDMA so try setting it to that and I'm not sure about Att. This phone is not a good choice for verizon

Thx. I am finding this out... I think I am going to port my number over to ATT. I just like to coverage of verizon since I travel the US but ATT has some up some.
Only thing that hold me VZW when I am out in the rural VZW still works when others have no service...maybe due to their older CDMA networks I guess.

Yeah I used to use Verizon left them cuz I was grandfather in unlimited data and they basically would not let me update my phone with out losing my unlimited data, I consume around 25GB MONTHLY so for me is a must..
