I have a g960U running stock Verizon Wireless firmware B2... Just in case my phone ever gets stolen I tried to hard reset it to see if it would be locked by Google account and it didn't! So I added my gmail account then went into download mode to make sure FRP was on, after a hard reset it did not ask for my account again. Help.
A little history on this phone, I bought on ebay... user said it was FRP locked and that he had forgotten the account. I checked before purchasing it that it was not blacklisted. And I used combination file to remove FRP lock and then reflashed it... and it was after that that the FRP did not stay on after hard reset.
What do u need to get in order to remove the factory reset protection and get backinto the device device was left me my brother brother after he passed away and I never change the email address and I never even was interested in the email address he didn't use it I need to know how to bypass the factory reset protection or versus a $900 phone to throw away
Wrong from locks you out
No it actually licks Mr out because I do not have the email address that was in the phontheinitially used t used in the device

I finished everything and got to the setting up the device and I get this:
"This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device."
Now the problem is I can't enter a new one or create a new google account. It has to be "previously synced on this device" which I don't know and have tried every google account I can come up with from gmail recovery. How do I really reset the phone to out of the box and I can enter any google account.

Sounds like the phone was configured with anothers account. You can try powering down let it sit for 20 seconds and then hold volume up and home button while pressing power will put u into stock recovery. Or go into download mode by holding volume down instead and try flashing stock firmware via ODIN (however this should not reset). Or Use SmartSwitch disaster recovery mode that wipes everything. If none work time to bring back to store for another one.

I tried everything but flashing via Odin at the current time because I heard that it would void the guarantee. Wipe data/ factory reset in recovery mode too. I even called google, samsung, and tmobile. Samsung would fix it but don't know how much it would cost since I only have the phone for 2 months. Google said that is there new security thing on 5.1.1 because a lot of people find phones and reset in in recovery mode to use the stolen phone; so the google account is embedded in the phone.

Flashing via Odin will not void anything as long as you are flashing the Official ROM. Kinda what I figured that nothing would work. Samsung should not charge anything to fix it just shipping providing you have proof of purchase. Same with T-Mobile if you have insurance they will overnight you new one for $5 shipping if not I think it is $20 for like 3 day.
Also try the smartswitch disaster recovery method. Ya never know.

Hello everyone. I have an lg g3. It's the International d 855 model. I have a pin code set up on it but i forgot the code and I'm guessing because it is an international model, itit not giving me the option to hit forget my password and reset it through my Google account like most androids have. I tried to use the hardware keys to do a hard factory reset as I saw online but it didn't work. Instead of allowing me to go into recovery mode or giving me the factory reset option, the phone simply went into safe mode. I tried to do different combinations of pin codes but I gave up after trying at least 200 different ones. Is there another way to bypass the pin lock screen and do a factory reset? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm always cautious of people who join Xda just to ask to unlock their phones because of a "forgotten pin" but hey it's common knowledge so what you need to do is go into download mode mode and flash a new stock firmware look here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 <<.
Whats the use of a pinlock code if it's so easy to bypass it,flash stock rom if you nicked an LG G3 and ready to go ?(nicked as example ofcourse)
Lol touche it is so easy to bypass bit thats cool cause u can nick mine and as soon as i know its gone ill remotely wipe it myself and turn on the gps plus lg built the kill switch on these phones
Hi all
I recently sold my oneplus 3 to a person who has moved interstate
They rebooted the phone today and it won't let her in to the phone unless she signs in with my password.
I don't want to give her my password.
I have signed out of the device on android device manager.
Can someone please help me.

There's a few FRP bypass methods out there. But the safest thing to do is to get it shipped back to you, sign into Google, REMOVE the Google account properly, and then perform a factory reset through Settings.
Or the new owner could just boot into recovery and do factory reset ...

That's not how FRP locks work.
Just send a factory reset or wipe order from android device manager
I logged out through android device manager, this method didnt work to begin with but after an hour was all good.
I sold my HTC 10 and did a Factory Reset before shipping the phone, but I guess that wasn't enough. The person who purchased my phone needed my email/password so that they can use the device so I changed my password before hand and I guess that triggered a 72-hour lockout preventing them from moving forward. If I were to instruct them on how to run a RUU, would that solve this issue?
Yes,I think. ruu.exe wipes them all. When I did a factory reset,it rebooted and asked my email and password that I used before the reset. But when I run the ruu it just started the setup page,I could enter any email adress.
Hey Forum! Hopefully y'all can help me. I have a S9 from Rent A Center and so does my wife, well her phone updated to Pie(9.0) 3 weeks ago and we're both on Cricket Wireless. Well mine hasn't updated and I've even went in and manually checking for updates and it says my phone is up to date so I downloaded the firmware from Sammobile and it failed cause i forgot to turn on USB Debugging in the developer options. So I restart my phone and go to settings and hit the build number and it says that developer options has already been turned on. But back in settings the options are nowhere to be found. So I figured doing a factory reset would help, but when i reset the phone and booted it up and went back to the build number and pressed it 7 times instead of saying developer options had been enabled it backed completely back out to my home screen and so i went back to settings and hit the build number again and it said that the developer options had already been turned on but again nowhere to be seen. So my question is is there a way to remove RAC from the phone or is there a way to remove knox where rac is on the phone? I need help cause I want the update, but it seems there is no way to do it with RAC on the phone.
USB debugging has nothing to do with flashing firmware with Odin
Ok then. I get a mdm mode cant download when I try flashing the firmware in download mode

Not sure if it still works with the S9, but there was a trick where you set up PIN security on the phone, but also enable the setting where if the wrong PIN is entered 10 times it factory resets the device, this supposedly removed the Rent-a-Centre crap after the reset which you cannot do while it is still active
Then enter the PIN 10 times wrongly

So it's a different factory than going into the settings and doing a factory reset?

No, same one but supposedly you do not have access to that with Rent a Centre software on the device, nor can you do it from recovery (As far as I am aware from reading others with the same phones)
Oh so basically I'm screwed until they come out with the update for my device

?
Do you have the ability to factory reset your phone as it stands right now?
If no, follow the above instructions...

Yes I can and have reset my phone. But when I set it back up it shows up rent a center in the Knox portion of it and I guess reinstalls them. So to speak
