So... You want to "Borrow" an account.
Question,
How do you plan on "Returning" this borrowed account securely?
It seems to me, once you "Borrow" it.... the account and all it's secrets are now shared with you.. and in essence, becomes your account as well..
How are the IMEI's going to match up..
You can't hand the account back to it's Original Owner like nothing ever happened.. you are commiting Fraud.. and dragging another user into the crime as an accessory as well..

i have ,please add my wechat im00225

I think this is a scam because:
1. He is using wechat (believe me that's already suspicious!)
2. "Authorizing" an account is easy and really fast, you apply and in less then 3-4 days they confirm it.
I have 2 accounts (because of 2 sim & for bypassing 360 hours waiting time) but I wouldn't give you none of it, because you simply can't trust strangers. Doesn't matter if you give them a fair chance or not, they will always try to abuse you. You should be ashamed of yourself.

MI ID Authorization is now 1 is to 1 basis. Check my thread. Just go to russian forum and post mi id there. Patience is the key to fix your device

So...
First of all, I think you haven't read the topic about unbrick Xiaomi phone. That's why you ask me those questions.
Second, I also think you don't know what is MI account, cuz there is nothing on this type of account.
And Lastly, if you have an MI account, you will know that the Original Owner can easily change the info after I borrow it with a verified email address or phone number which I can't never know or change.
But still thanks for your advice. )

Where did you apply an authorized account? I have tried to contact Xiaomi but they said they couldn't do that. If you apply through Russian forum, I did it, but my account isn't authorized yet.
But it doesn't matter know cuz as @devcon69 as 1 ID can just use for 1 devices now

You just slap yourself with this reply. Lol. You said you DON'T brick your phone right? That's why I said you haven't known about a bricked phone. So... why did you judge me like that?
Thanks for "good luck learning how to recover it from your mistake"... I'm LEARNING now, and one way to RECOVER it is AUTHORIZED MI ID. One more thing, "root a cell phone without bricking it", I wasn't rooting my phone. I just upgraded to Global Rom from Chinese one. Then I didnt known why it was bricked.
No one is perfect, cuz anyone can make a mistake. The problem is how we can handle that mistake.
Last thing for you, please inquire information before you comment or judge someone.

Does Not Matter...

And I think you need to learn more about reading skill, cuz you don't understand what I'm saying. It is nothing about good or bad skill bro. Lol. My MAIN IDEA is "PLEASE STOP JUDGING anyone when you DON'T understand what they are mention in their topic." Hope you get my idea this time.
Btw, I also have a good new. As I said, I just upgraded ROM and it was bricked without reason. I have contacted Xiaomi Customer Service. They said they would send a new phone to me as an apology after they realized that was their huge mistake on that Global ROM.

Time To Go..
It's Crystal Clear Now..
The Slang used in your last comment explains EVERYTHING..
Time to run away from this thread.. I don't need trouble from the hood.

[Q] Help me unlock this mobile :(

Hello there
i have been on this forum for a while. Owner of Galaxy s1 international...
Since economy isnt good here on Greece i bought a T-Mobile T999 galaxy s3.
I always try to search search search to find what i need and i always have a sucess (thats why i dont have so much posts).
This time ........... i cant do anything. I am trying more than 7h now.....
I have read more than 10-20 different ways...
Root- Flass...bla bla bla etc ... nothing worked until now.
You will say go pay and get a code...
i always want to do everything by myself.
So can someone help me? Can someone give me good details on how to do it or any link that it might help me?
Thank you in advance...
Regards
PS Please dont start search forum... i have done that more than you think.....
BTW i have make a backup of efs but when i am trying to find nv_data.bin .... there is NO such a file...
WTH -.-
There is no way to manually unlock it. Since you're from Greece, you'll have to pay for it

I could be way off here as I have never dealt with the unlock codes. But I was under the impression that the code is different for every phone and is based on the imei. I'm assuming there is some sort of mathmatic formula that's run against the imei to get the code. (That's 100% a guess btw).
I'm also guessing a select few companies/people were given, or figured out on their own, the way to get the code.
If I am wrong or someone knows otherwise, please share. Id actually like to know for sure!
I've heard you can get it for just a few bucks, so it may be worth it to just go that route anyway.

U mention economy in your post. Go get a code on ebay for $8 just like everybody else did and stop moaning since $8 is nothing compared to the hundreds fyou paid for the phone. Also read other threads about unlock code, there are already tons open.

As i said ''what you post didnt sound nice''. As for that ebay guy, i am still waiting an answer from him.... 12h! Of course i wasnt moaning for 8 bucks but i as i mentioned before i am always trying to do it by myself. I cant see whats the problem with you! Since you know about the open posts you should also knew that its kind a mess with none - reliable solution. (i am not sure if i have read everything tho).
I am not going to write about the way you shoud talk or post on a forum. I am pretty sure you wont even understand!

Thats exactly what i think happens as well. However, one can unlock the htc one s for free. The process is like reading a partition on the device thats normally hidden but htc was lazy about how hidden it was.
And i think its the same method for any phone. Its just a matter of how to access said partition. But z3box and like devices have that ability to read the partition. And thats i believe how they generate the code.

Locked

Hello, I have recently found a Sony Xperia on my seat while travelling on a plane. (I can't know whether it's the Arc or the Arc S). But, the thing is, the phone is locked so I can't access anything on it. Does anyone know how can I delete the password in order to use the phone?

Well, how do you guys expect me to return it if I can't even access the contact list or anything on the phone?
Don't even tell me to give it to the list and founds, we all know that it's useless.
I actually asked almost everyone on the plane whether it was their phone.

Then that's the responsibility you have not upheld because you wouldn't even turn it to the lost and found
It should also be noted that you mentioned in your original post that you wanted to unlock the phone to use it. Not return it.
In the end, if you want to keep it for yourself instead of doing the responsible thing, that's entirely up to your conscience
Sent from Xperia Arc S
Because i said "use it" then it clearly implies that I don't plan to return it? English isn't my first language but I don't think it is contradictory. I can "use it" to access the contacts, etc.
You may say I'm irresponsible and all kind of stuff, but I think I was kind enough asking everybody on the plane whether the phone was theirs. Like it or not, you would have done the same in my place, try and give it back if the phone is the belonging of someone in the plane, if not, then too bad, I keep it.
I'm not a liar, I plan to keep the phone, as I said, I found it on a plane. The owner probably is in india, england, or whatever country.
You can judge me but be honnest, I did the necessary, giving it to the lost and found is just completely useless.

you should've mentioned that you asked everyone on the plane. when someone says they wanna bypass a lock screen they want to access the info. at least in my eyes.. you refuse to turn it into lost and found because you think its "useless" .. scoff. you found a free phone and your intentions are to keep it . plain and simple. did you leave the Sim card in it?? maybe they'll call it. but as long as you keep saying you want to keep it .. you look like a thief in my eyes. just turn it into lost and found even if you think its moot
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Yes, the Sim card is still in it, but if the phone is locked what do you think I could have done?
Damn, Lost and Found is a scam, and you know it perfectly that it would have been useless, the only thing that would have happened was either the phone would rot on a shelf or another idiot would take the phone.
I did ask everyone on the plane. You can act like I was a thief and think you are an angel but you know I did the right thing. Lost and found would be useless, you just can't admit it.

Or the person it belongs might have enquired, "has anyone found a Phone". Not everyone who works in "lost and found" is a scally....
A $2,000 tip is huge for any Las Vegas cab driver, but then Adam Woldemarim, a 42-year-old Ethiopian cabbie, did someone a huge favor: He turned in a lost laptop case stuffed with $221,000, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

IMO, you should keep the phone and let the person call his phone. Since you can't unlock it, the phone would be useless to you. If the guy doesn't give a damn, then I wont know what to do with it.
Now to the subject of unlocking...
There is no way to bypass this except to use Google account or by flashing the phone with SEUS. The Google account must be associated with the phone, however.

You could try doing it yourself. There is a step-by-step breakdown guide in General which I have used two or three times. It's easy and DIY costs much less than it would to go through a repair service.

I do believe so. The guide is very informative, has step-by-step instructions with pictures, and is full of tips ranging from purchasing the right parts to little details that may be overlooked during the process, from quite a few others who have already done it; myself included. This is the thread I'm talking about. The tools you need will more than likely come with the digitizer kit, so there really aren't any tools you would need to run out and get before doing it. Read through it and make your own determination though; I don't want to say "Yeah, do it" and have you mess it up... but I honestly think it's simple enough.
EDIT: actually, after skimming back through the thread, I notice that a lot of the commentary I mentioned wasn't there... It's still an awesome guide and I, and probably others here as well, can help answer any questions you might have about it.

The only thing that might change is you may end up getting a digitizer without a carrier logo; but as far as IMEI or Serial or anything of that sort goes, nothing will change.

There are no other root methods and possibly won't be any more. Of I'm correct there's only a recovery for one variant and if it's not your model I honestly wouldn't risk it. There is OneClickRoot .com where you connect with a technician live online and they root it with that method remotely and its 40 bux I believe but, you have a 100% guaranteed if no success which they will succeed, you don't pay, and if something goes wrong they replace your phone. They have been around a few years and I see nothing but good comments about them and talked to several g4 owners who did it. I desperately want root on mine but I'm not attempting that delicate **** with my bad luck lol and there's not much dev for it cuz of the locked boot loader right now, hence no custom rims so I'm considering claiming mine lost ad forking 40 bux which is worth it for me

Thank you so much for replying back so quickly, i actually saw oneclickroot.com as an option, but i didnt know if it was a trusted website or if it was any good, i didnt see any BBB credentials and felt that it was just a website design to take your money, but now that you mention all of the above, im gonna speak with a technitian before i do anything, thanks for all your help and good luck rooting your device as well..
You have the T Mobile variant, why don't you just unlock the bootloader officially, install TWRP, the install SuperSU zip file and root that way?

Because honestly, i have no idea how to do all that, i dont even know what any of those things mean, im new at all this and only reason i want to root my device is to upgrade roms and hack games, i think my best option is paying money so i can get it done, because obviously doing it by myself wasnt such a good idea..if you could explain and guide me through the process i could try it, i just dont want to make the same mistake and hard brick my device again..thanks..

Yes These guys are absolutely right you need to go do some serious research and completely forget rootin a g4 if your not a fly advanced user. I started when I found a lil Samsung Galaxy centura on the side of the road out walking one day and I got lucky it was a very simple root. Really what is absolutely crucial is that custom recovery which I learned the hard way, I still have a gpad 10.1 brand new in my drawer that won't go past the boot, fastboot, and stock recovery and I dont have a PC and I haven't had experience using a PC in many years lol but I got as far as possible without one and being able to flash a different roM depending on my mood and easily laugh at a brick or bootloop while stepping over it is a great feeling I recommend highly. But your not quite ready yet especially for a tricky ***** like the g4, Hell Im not ready for it nor can afford it lol I give that lil L70 utter hell though and learn every day… since you have an unlockable BL (soooo jealous lol jk) you have more options but trust me find an old phone and practice all you can first ..good luck and have fun expanding your mind man[emoji6] [emoji4]
Oh and if you need any help you can private message me and ilk do my best. If I can't answer something I know some guys who can
Oh yeah (again lol) it all may seem complicated at first but you hit a point where it will all just click and fall into place like flipping a switch and then be amazed that everything actually works the way it does, it's just getting to that threshold that is the tricky part
Through my ancient eyes comes the certainty of decay... LG G4 & L 70
From my experience, initially you may get confused about all terms like root, bootloader, recovery, 3 wipes, Supersu, etc but when you find a post teaching you how to root or install recovery, you need to make sure you download the correct image/file for your phone model! But most importantly you need to know how to rescue by yourself if anything go wrong first. DOWLOAD CORRECT KDZ AND IMG BEFOREHAND for pre-cautionary measure. Well known about the steps how to hard reset to restore to factory image.
All in all, I was not studied IT but rooting and installing recovery is a skill facilitating my phone experience! Have fun on it!!

So you called in your carrier and pretended that your phone was stolen because you bricked it while trying to root it. That's awesome.

You are worried about a site with BBB credentials and you committed insurance fraud.

sm-n975u help

hi all im new to all this and I have a sm-n975u and was wanting to see if I can get some help with info.
1. Can I and how to get off sprint
2. Imei repair
3. Is it able to be rooted
I was able to get to download screen, recovery screen, etc. So I flashed all factory files on it using odin just to see if it would work and all worked 100% so I don't see why I can't do the above things. Thanks everyone in advance

As long as your phone qualifies and is paid off you can just call sprint and ask them to carrier unlock it.
If your phone is not paid off -or- you purchased a used phone that is financed then no one can help you here (forum rules prohibit this)

If you want a proper answer your going to have to provide what it is your wanting to do with the IMEI. Commonly people are trying to change or recover an IMEI.
If your asking how to change an IMEI then I'm 96% confident forum rules prohibit this too. The IMEI is like a VIN on a car... changing it (same as unlocking a financed phone) is not exactly legal and could land XDA in some legal problems for allowing the discussion. This is where the forum rules come into play.
If you lost your IMEI your pretty much out of luck and will most likely need a new motherboard.

Not yet and no time frame for when it will be (if it ever can be). Refer to the bounty thread (the one linked above by raul6) for more info on the subject.
Thank you for the info, my phone is paid off yes and I was given codes but they did nothing, as far as imei repair it but more so on what might fall under prohibited. I wasn't aware that would be against on anyone giving info for so thank you for letting me know that as well .... guess that only leaves root and I'm guessing this is one that can't have that done as well lol. Looking like this is another to just toss in the kitchen drawer ?

I'm pretty sure sprint still uses some sort of OTA carrier/sim unlock method and not a code you enter.
You might want to get a hold of sprint and and make sure they gave you the correct information.
Okay ill do that today since I tried what they gave me and it did nothing, was three codes that really didn't let me change a thing one of course was the MSL the other a PUK code and the other id have to find what I wrote down. I'm guessing they may not have understood what I was asking them for. I was very clear about switching companies so I figured that was enough but apparently not lol. Thanks for the info.
