I am on SM-G96OU and was using bxActions. I figured since I'm not using bixby I'll free up the space and get rid of it. Now I realize bxActions doesn't work without bixby voice. Does anyone have the apks and adb commands to push bixby voice back to my phone? I tried downloading it from Samsung and just installing bit out didn't work.
TIA

Hello!
I noticed the YouTube app recently got an update which allows for pre-caching of subscription videos so they're available when the device isn't on WiFi, and although this works on my GNex, the feature is unavailable on my Nexus 7? I was wondering if anyone has found away to re-enable this feature, and if so, how?
Thanks!
Some custom ROMs have this feature.

Modaco Jr6 has it, you can pull the .apk out of the .zip and replace yours.
Edit: here's the right apk, figured i'd save you some trouble and post it here.

Awesome - thanks for extracting the APK for me. Unfortunately it won't install? I've removed the YouTube.apk that was installed from the Play Store (I'm on Paranoid)
I get 'X App was not installed.' :/ Any ideas bud?

You're on Paranoid? I don't have a N7 but I'm using Paranoid on my Gnex. I noticed that the preloading options are display mode specific. I don't know why Google would do that but if you put it in the phone style UI it will give you the preloading options.
EDIT: Also, I believe YouTube 4.0.8 still allows preloading whatever the display mode. Probably what dude linked above. On my Gnex I had to stick 4.0.8 manually into /system/app, set permissions and reboot for it to install. But then the Play Store constantly reminds you to update it to 4.0.23.
Hi guys, so I found out you can say "note to self.." followed by what you want to note on Google voice search in JELLYBEAN. Apparently, it sends it via email to your gmail, but when saving, the app force closes. Its on that specific function. Everything else works. any ideas? Thank you

What? I can read that perfectly, what's the problem? Saving a note on Google voice search force closes the app

don't make a comment on here if you have nothing productive to say. at all. don't really need this kind of ***t around here. just sayin.
to the OP... not sure what the issue is, mine is working just fine. i know that there was an update to the google search app a little while ago. go into your market and verify it has been updated. if that doesn't work, try fixing permissions through recovery. let us know
So my phone says Hangouts is installed but it is still the Google Talk icon, and the app looks like it is still Google Talk. I'm on stock 4.1.1 rooted, so how can I get actual Hangouts installed? Thanks
If you're rooted, you can manually install it by uninstalling talk. However, since you're stock you have to wait for them to push it out to all devices.

That is really annoying. So my iPhone 5 gets hangouts before my Android phone? LOL
Anyway to force it on now?
Thanks
EDIT: You can just download the apk file and install over Talk and it works just fine. Probably don't even need root access to do this.

Similarly, Google now also doesn't work.

I see your problem in the thread I open, have you try a fresh install? or a reboot? that doesnt happen at all for me
Ive got the same issue, although the mic does work in calls luckily. What firmware was you using and what device? Im using the world version that was posted in the big thread earlier (.200) on an Xperia S from the UK that was previously run on T-Mobile ICS f/w.
I dont really wanna try a reinstall because i spent hours setting the phone up from clean again :/ But there's a little hope, when i first boot the phone, google now does recognise me once, or the recording app does work a few times, but after that it doesnt at all until reboot. I can't tell if its the keyboard interfering or some service that runs the mic stopping, or maybe the google now app crashing it since the recording small app seems to work more than once. Maybe it's an 3rd party app interfering if it's only us getting the error?
I tried soft reset. It worked for a while, now not working again.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
So after a Google search I've found out why this is happening, it's because the latest Google now update messes up the Mic, so if you force close the Google search app or uninstall its updates for the time be in it will work

This seems to work for me:
I deactivated com.google.android.voicesearch in settings-apps.
Google Now and voice recorder apps are working now.

Does anyone know how to remove the stock Tmobile Mobile hot spot app? My Note 3 is fully rooted. I looked through many threads and no luck...there is no apk for it under system/aps
Download Titanium Back Up from the Play Store and search for it under "batch freeze". Just make sure you have just the hotspot checked or it will literally freeze all the apps in your ROM..

I grabbed the latest copy of TB and searched for hot spot. I am still unable to find it. Can you please give me more detailed steps on what to look for?

Well, I don't know the name of the actual app. Just look for the icon when you're going through the freeze list

Look for apps named tether or tethering in /system/app and in the /priv-app folder.....
Why do you need to delete this?

it's in /System/Priv-App folder.......
it looks like the hotspot app may be linked into the SecSettings.apk......
I have the same problem & it looks like the hotspot "app" is really just a link to the tethering menu (like louforgiveno was saying) & thus cannot be frozen. The only real option is to hide it in your launcher. I see you haven't posted in a few days so if you've figured out something else let me know
