"internal application error" in recorder. I am on 6.2.b.0.200.
Similarly, Google now also doesn't work.

I see your problem in the thread I open, have you try a fresh install? or a reboot? that doesnt happen at all for me
Ive got the same issue, although the mic does work in calls luckily. What firmware was you using and what device? Im using the world version that was posted in the big thread earlier (.200) on an Xperia S from the UK that was previously run on T-Mobile ICS f/w.
I dont really wanna try a reinstall because i spent hours setting the phone up from clean again :/ But there's a little hope, when i first boot the phone, google now does recognise me once, or the recording app does work a few times, but after that it doesnt at all until reboot. I can't tell if its the keyboard interfering or some service that runs the mic stopping, or maybe the google now app crashing it since the recording small app seems to work more than once. Maybe it's an 3rd party app interfering if it's only us getting the error?
I tried soft reset. It worked for a while, now not working again.

So after a Google search I've found out why this is happening, it's because the latest Google now update messes up the Mic, so if you force close the Google search app or uninstall its updates for the time be in it will work

This seems to work for me:
I deactivated com.google.android.voicesearch in settings-apps.
Google Now and voice recorder apps are working now.

So when I am just doing whatever, my phone locks up and a message saying (somgthing).gapps has either stopped working or has crashed. It happens typically once a day. I can be on Facebook, or the Google play store and when I tap a button, that happens. Any idea? I am stock ROM, but rooted. I'm assuming you guys will need more info, I'm just not sure what to say that could help.

More info is definitely needed.
1.) What ROM and Kernel are you using?
2.) Have you done any modifications to the said ROM or kernel?
3.) What gapps package are you using?
Try clearing data for Google framework

If you have CWM installed try fixing permissions.

This. Try Google first, there are many threads on this already. Internet sync worked for me so try that before you start clearing all sorts of data like me lol

I'll give that a shot and see if it crashes anymore. What does that disable? Chrome syncing I'm assuming? I guess just the tabs?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Thank you! Any idea what that even does? Since I disabled Internet sync I haven't had the .gapps crash once!

Every time I open the Google Play Store app, this is what I get any one know how to fix this? I already cleared data for Google services framework and for the app itself, rebooted, and nada.
Google is having periodic server issues, the problem is probably not you
The only thing that's worked for me is to delete your Google account from sync, then reinstall it (give it a couple minutes to do it's thing), then clear data from Google play store in app manager. Then *whalla* works again. Seriously. Haven't had a problem since.

My phone is running Cyanogenmod 10 without any problems. But yesterday I found out that Google search has a update, so updated the app and since then it keeps crashing. Every time t tells me "unfortunately Google search has stopped working." Is this a known issue in the Cyanogenmod and is there a solution for this?

No its not a known problem, try clearing data and if that doesn't work try deleting the app and reinstall it again...

Sadly, I tried that numerous times but it keeps giving me the same error. I deleted the app, restarted the phone and installed it again without any changes... Now I am using my phone without this app, the only change is that I haven't got Google Now anymore :'(. (but I can life with that)

Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
If you are using manual time settings, change it to auto.
had this problem a while ago, I've been running an SSH tunnel to get to Gstore (no google store access for my country), and at some point it stopped even running at all, always crashing
the usual remedy is to do the following :
go into airplane mode
go into the app manager
look for google play : force stop/clear data&cache
look for google framework : force stop/clear data&cache
delete your google account from device
restart
once reboot is done, exit airplane mode, re-add your google account and try again, this worked for me once, then was useless
the next fix I tried was almost the same, except I replaced my own ssh tunnel with a vpn service (psiphon 3 in my case) and never had any problems since then
hope this helps

I'm running a CM11 nightly, here's my problem. When i either make or accept a call, the call connects but there is no audio whatsoever. I can't hear them, they can't hear me. If i reboot the phone, the problem goes away but then returns in an unknown period of time. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know if or how it can be fixed?
Do you have snapchat and/or hangouts dialer installed? If so, uninstall and reboot and you'll be fine.

I have the same problem, I actually just made a thread about this.
I can't hear the caller and when I make calls they can't hear me and I can't hear them.
I've disabled Hnagouts and uninstalled the updates, because I couldn't uninstall it.
However, it still doesn't work.
I'm not so sure, but I don't think Snapchat has anything to do with it.
Any thoughts?

This is a known issue, and has been verified. Uninstall snapchat, the issue will be resolved. (Hangouts itself isn't an issue, just the hangouts dialer. If you haven't installed it you're OK.)
There is an older version of snapchat floating around that doesn't cause the issue, search the forums and you'll find it.

You know what, you're right. It's SnapChat.
Just uninstalled Snapchat, I'll let you know if it works. Seems promising. And how do I sideload? Can I not just install the older apk?
