I just upgraded to Android P and there is an issue with Snapseed not able to save / export images, the whole experiences in Android P is slower compared to 8.1 so I am thinking to downgrade.
Is there any methods to downgrade to latest Oreo 8.1 from Android P Developer Preview? Can I just flash the full factory image - OPM1.171019.021, Mar 2018?
Thank you.

That it will! However, I don't think there's much choice in the matter. From all the posts I've read, a full wipe to downgrade is necessary.
Thanks all. I've uninstalled and installed the Snapseed, it's working fine now. I will stay with it for a while. Thank you.
I tried P and downgraded with a full flash of Oreo flash all in fastboot leaving in the - w .. I had a backup of Oreo rooted on my PC before I moved to P.. Quick and easy...

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can go back to 8.1 with a clean install with fastboot. It'll wipe your phone, but it's been done by several users thus far :good:

Correct.
However, I doubt you will be able to roll-back to Oreo at all.
The Oreo OTA files will still have an older timestamp than the Android P verision(s), (as well as older radios, etc.) therefore wont be allowed to install.

I think I'll be good next month.
Thanks all for the response.
I'm on Singapore local version, locked boot loader. I sideloaded the OTA. I found that I have to uninstall and re-install some of the apps to resolve the force closed issue.
I think the issue is caused by dirty flash like one of you mentioned above. I will do a factory reset and reinstall all my apps, see if it helps.
Thank you.
Are the steps to going from P to O on an unlocked rooted phone:
1. wipe dalvik/cache
2. flash latest factory image
3. reboot
4. boot twrp, flash root,
5. flash kernel
6. reboot?

Here's the official OTA link to update from LCA43 (Lollipop) to MEC24H (Marshmallow). Enjoy! You can only flash this on a watch that is completely stock! If you need to restore your watch, Sony PC Companion might work.
https://android.googleapis.com/pack...e2ee74fbab.signed-tetra-MEC24H-from-LCA43.zip
Small note: This OTA will update the bootloader to block "tethered booting" in fastboot while the bootloader is locked (so you will have to unlock the bootloader to use TWRP). If you want to keep the old bootloader, there is a post on the third page. This zip is signed by Sony, so you can flash it in stock recovery with a locked bootloader.
Edit: Here are some screenshots. Not much has changed compared to Lollipop, and Sony hasn't added anything compared to other watches, so they're not very interesting. https://imgur.com/a/Vp8hY (Ambient Mode might look worse on your watch because after I flashed Marshmallow I edited build.prop to disable low bit ambient mode. If you want to do this too, I made a crappy tutorial for that on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWea...an_disable_low_bit_ambient_mode_to_make_your/)

Open up adb on a computer and plug in the watch. Issue adb reboot recovery and tap the watch screen when the recovery droid picture shows up. Swipe down to the sideload option then swipe right. Issue adb sideload blahblah.zip (obviously put the real zip name where "blahblah" is) and wait. After it finishes, swipe to the reboot option and swipe right to select. Your watch has been updated!

No, because the mod is literally only adding a single character (#) to a line in build.prop. If I repacked it into a zip you would still have to boot TWRP and use adb to flash it, which is 90% of the work.

Hi all, I finally read good news for our MM Stock: it is finally almost bug-free. I read that only the Wi-Fi bug still here, but wait like 10-20 secs of connection doesn't kill me.
So now I am fully ready to update but i don't know anything.
Here is my idea:
1) Do a full erase (Delete every folder/file).
2) Install the full FW of MM .184 downloaded from asus (I don't want a update just a clear install).
Unlucky I read that Asus Flash tool can be a bit crazy with strange errors and maybe can delete important partitions (like unkown imei, lost mac, ect..)
So, can someone please use a bit of his/her time to explain me what can i do? Like a step-to-step guide?
Thanks you very much,
LightDestory.

My phone is untouched: no root, no bt unlocked and my current version is the latest avaible of LP via OTA (so the .198).
I have only the full FW WW-4.21.40.184.zip. The 2.20.40.184 (there is a mistake because it is 2.20.40.198) is LP... but I want to install MM.
Thansk for the fast reply. But, excuse me... I need more info!
I am a bit confused between flash via zip or a raw firmware... I just need the safer way that can erase all and do a clean install..

Hi, thanks for the reply.
This is the "update LP to MM" way... is there a way to clear everything and install?
After you do it then factory reset it.

I also updated from LP .198 to MM .184 because I heard a lot of problems have been resolved and I am very happy to say that I've had no problems whatsoever. The sound and mini freeze in games problem that I had on MM .134 was solved as well. The battery life is also good. The performance is good, phone works like a charm and I didn't even do a factory reset, I only upgraded and that's it! Kudos to Asus for finally fixingthe problems!
you don't need to do anything. just go into recovery. then click factory data and reset. then clear caxhe partition. then apply update from adb. and then install MM version you downloaded from asus via sideload command.

Thanks for all the replies. I need just the last info, help me to understand.
1)Go to Recovery and do a factory reset and wipe cache partition (OK... I know how do that)
2) "Apply Update from adb" what means? Factory reset will make my phone like a older version of LP and I have to flash first the .194? or by clicling on 'apply update from adb' the phone will go in a "download mode" and so go to step 3?
3) Sideload MM (OK... i read on zentalk the sideload command)
EDIT:
I am now with STOCK 6.0.1 MM!
I got 2 bootloops but on the third flash the phone booted! WOW!
Moderator can close this.
Thanks again for the help!

Yes my phone is rooted and I deleted bloatware apps. I have AL10
the boot warning alert is normal, you Bootloader is unlocked.
you can restore your firmware in eRecovery, this works only with AL10 Version and is very easy.
Boot in eRecovery and Download your firmware and restore.
Reboot your Phone and when you see the Orange Font "Your device ist trustet.... press the Volume up for 3 sec. and it boot into eRecovery.
After installing the Firmware make the Phone automatic a Factory reset and you on Stockrom with root.
Another Variant is Install Huawei HiSuite and press system update,if no update is available you can go to the previous version, but you must have a installed Stockrecovery.
I have an Honor Note 8 AL10 and this works fine.
But first try the eRecovery

It looks like there is a camera update and some AOD updates as well. I am a bit intrigued by the new AOD options.
Is it just me or the new Outfocus (portrait) mode is broken? After I take a picture it tells me that the portrait effect couldn't be applied because it couldn't find a face in the saved picture?
P.S. Also intrigued by the ned AOD options, and fade in animation.
Edit: Fixed it by clearing data and cache.

Impossible. Just reapply magisk and TWRP.
Anyone else have issues trying to update? I've tried twice on via the on phone update both times it downloaded but reboots to just error symbol and after manual reboot says verification problem. I've also tried twice via Bridge but it seems to fail in download phase.

Right. You can't install inferior partial image OTA, if you have TWRP.
Wait for the superior full image KDZ. Flash through LGUP, DL PARTITION, but UNcheck recovery partitions to keep TWRP. At least that's how all the other V30 do it, if we don't have flashable TWRP ROM.

Of course. You are right. Everything has a tradeoff unfortunately but OTA usually requires you to reinstall Magisk to get root back.

OTA won't even install with TWRP.
And you need TWRP to get Magisk.
Why do people keep only talking about Magisk? TWRP is why you can't and don't want to install an OTA.

Why not?
You can use LGUP, to DL PARTITION.
You can Uncheck recovery partitions.
You can then boot to TWRP. (hardware dance buttons)
You can then flash Magisk, the no encryption and no Root Check files again.
Is there something I'm missing?
Well, for people who were silly enough to replace their Download mode with 2ND copy of TWRP, NO they can't do that. You need Download mode to flash KDZ via LGUP. But everyone else with H932 can do that.

Thank you. I'm all set, still have it on my sd card from lafsploit.
I'm more interested in learning to convert a kdz to flashable twrp zip.

I don't have any idea how to recover my update ota, lenovo is trolling me.
I don't understand what your issue is. But if you missed OTA, is will come again soon.
I think one way to help that is to clear cache of update app. Just google it.
While you are there, once the OTA is downloaded to your phone AND before actually upgrading, it would be good to copy the update file to your PC and share it with others who don't get the OTA.

I found the solution, I'll repost the fastboot link that alexeei provided.
The overall improvements I've been noticing:
Connection problems that sometimes occurred in my region, are no longer giving.
Battery I noticed is lasting about 45 minutes longer.
PT-BR was basically 100% implemented in every layout.
The 4G connection has been improved.
I also believe that they have made some changes in the kernel, because the way the cores are working, is different gives version 284, ie better, I'll find out if in Benchmark improved anything.
And the audio in dolby atmos, I'm feeling that the audio has improved, it's louder and clearer.
camera haven't tested yet
However this is it: D
Here the link
Thanks for @alexeei

In first Thank's a lot for the file !!!!
But after the flash , my phone don't reboot, hopefully reflash Alexeei Twrp solve my problem, evrithing seem ok now.
More info when more tested the rom
@alexeei, the file you shared is full ROW rom?
If so, when flashing with TWRP over an older version of ROW, will it keep data and apps?
Thanks!
I flash over my 284st the alexeei fastboot rom, but with the fastboot .bat.
And i have keep all my app, data and setting.
But the phone don't work in first attempt, must reflash the twrp for fix boot.
Don't know if this problème is only for me or more general.
My config before flash. Rom 11.0.284st + twrp alexeei + magisk 19.3.
Now everything seem ok and perf is good, except aod still dont work.

You only need flash vbmeta with --disable-verity option, i make it default in installer script in future releases.
Ok , thank's for the info !
How can I install this update?
Brillant !
Do you think it can be flashed over CN rom and keep data and apps?
Also, do you know where to find same type of rom file with latest CN rom?
I want to try latest ROW, but I know I will revert back to CN.

But only if you already are in raw rom, update from chinese is untested by now.
