OMDs (oh my days)
why did i waste money buying the iPad. this thing is amazing. i love the galaxy tab 10.1. I just got the 32GB one. i have it connected to my motorola keyboard and mouse. it works so well. its basically a computer. i love it. anyway, instead of buying the keyboard dock, just get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. i absolutely love it.
please if anyone has any suggestions about how to configure the keys on the keyboard, like the apps drawer open key, i would love you to leave a comment.

I'm considering buying a keyboard for the SGT 10.1 and i was thinking about the Samsung OEM keyboard because it is the nearest to a notebook for the SGT. This Motorola keyboard is a bluetooth one? If so, how long does its battery last? Do u have a link to the keyboard description?
Thx.
I have been using the same batteries for months now. I don't really know how long they will last for. But maybe 3 months or over.
I will include a picture of my setup in a bit

portable bluetooth keyboard for the 10.1 that has a touchpad
Hello, does anyone know of a portable bluetooth keyboard for the 10.1 that has a touchpad on it. Right now I am using my PS3 bluetooth keyboard with touchpad and it is amazing. There is a cursor that moves and clicks and it makes it so easy then reaching and touching the screen accurately. I would love a keyboard that has a slot that will also hold the tablet up and in place. Thanks. As much as I love using my PS3 keyboard it is NOT portable LOL. Thanks for all suggestions.
Definitely recommend the Motorola keyboard. There is a post on here that has a link to pick up some with a free mouse included.

Besides the Samsung OEM Keyboard for the GT 10.1, is there any other keyboard that acts like a dock. The Motorola Keyboard seems fine, but it won't hold the Tab. I want a keyboard that doesn't need a cover with a stand. Does anyone know of one besides the original samsung keyboard?
Just received the Motorola keyboard & mouse combo today. I would highly recommend both of them for use with your 10.1.
Don't know of any docking syle keyboard for the 10.1.
@ coulter6. were u able to map the gmail button or does it work for you? Let me know the other keys that dont work for you. Cheers.

As for a dock, I know I've seen online somewhere, a keyboard dock that acts as a folding case. It leaves the back of the tab exposed, but it essentially turns it into a portless netbook.
Oops, wrong thread.
Does anyone know of an alarm clock that can play music with the GN kind of like the ihome products work the ipods. I know you can use the headphone jacks but that doesn't really connect the two systems so that when your alarm starts it will play music from your phone. It seems like android is popular enough that there would be a solution by now. Any ideas?

I use the Philips Fidelio android dock. It's Bluetooth though (since there's no audio via USB, like an iphone). Put an NFC sticker on it and you can make BT turn on when you dock it

Hopefully with ADK 2 we'll finally be seeing android accessories. The ADK 2 kit they were giving out at I/o this year was pretty cool for an alarm clock.
I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch that i just cant stand any more and I have a JBL OnBeat that I can play my OgEvo through. With no way to charge it becomes a problem. Is there any android docks out there besides the Philips ones? With android being out for some time now why is there not a market for docks that are android specific? Please dont link me to some hack and slash job that somebody modded an iDock to work with android.
Thanks
Probably because the phones are all different shapes and sizes so no manufacturer wants to waste money on making them..
It could be done though.. with the right plastic inserts... kinda like a modular design type thing..

wouldnt need any plastic inserts, the part that would hold the phone would just need to be spring loaded and able to turn 90 degrees to support phones with the charger on the side not the bottom. I figured out a way to hack and slash the JBL unit i have as it has a usb port on the rear and a 3mm audio in on the rear. Just would rather buy a unit for android.

Android really does need a good dock..
Would be a great kick starter project..
But I believe wireless charging plus NFC and Bluetooth dock would be much simpler for all devices to be able to use in the future..
So just lay your device anywhere on the surface it starts charging and NFC pairs the 2 via Bluetooth and plays music
Nexus dock Google common do it!

looks like a great dock, Ill add it to my christmas wish list.
I'd be interested on any feedback on the One Car Dock. I'm currently using a RAZR, it's car dock and mode is quite good. The HTC One atm is my primary choice for phone replacement. Both positive & negative feedback is appreciated.

Can you use the HTC One car dock as a desk dock? Can you switch off the car menus?

Yes - I am currently using mine as a desk dock until I find a suitable one I am happy with. You can turn off the 'car' menu in the settings
Nice one Bob. Can the phone be on all the time if it's plugged in?
Any chance of a photo?
