Micro-P ROM in the Diamond

I've faced wth screen problem before and i just seen a message on the screen Please upgrade your Micro-P rom to the latest this time i had no screen lights at all because my screen connection was lose.... i place it back on position and seems anything ok . So i became interested about it What is the Micro-P rom doing in our Diamond...
In the [sys] \ OEMDrivers \ folder there is a dll called Microp.dll execute the dll is depend on 2 other dll called coredll.dll and mmmap.dll . I had a look inside the microp.dll wth hex editor and find a lot of string related the light sensor , automatic LED controlling

i think this part of the system controlling all the LEDs what the diamond got...
If uu switch to the tricolor screen there a line'll show uu the version of the MicroP rom my is 12
c'mon lets find out what is it may something we could use....

Could someone please post the right microp.dll, coreddll.dll and mmmap.dll? I think if I replace the ones in my phone with the right ones my phone might work again.

Had contact with HTC Support in Holland and next wednesday they will pick it up and repair it.

I had the same proplem. Change roms, radios.. in service they disassemle and collect it, and it work. They think it loose contact.

the screen effectively is black, but I can see homepage etc as it's in standby.
MAYBE, but it's only in my mind, we could fix the problem installing windows mobile 6.1 professional.
But the problem is: who has wm 6.1 professional?anyone can post the link for download?

Only fix is to send it for repair..I did it and it was "clear" warranty Got new display and the whole front panel

How to reload the default software back to HTC Excalibur

Hello,
Need your guys help urgently. I have a HTC Excalibur, but recently did not power ON for about afew weeks, and now when I power ON, it will just hang at the booting green page showing "Windows Mobile Direct Push Technology", and can never goto the main screen at all, suspected that the software corrupted.
Please help, I have tried to use the Activesync but it does not detect my HTC Excalibur. Is there any way to reload back the default software/firmware image back to the device? like BlackBerry device, there's a software application and can use the Desktop Manager Application Loader to reload the software/firmware back to the device, is there such similar way for HTC Excalibur? Or any alternatives to resolve this issue?
Please HELP, any kind soul expert out there to help?

They are 2 ways that You can get the bootloader screen back, by connecting your phone to your PC via USB, catch this {although the phone may look like it's not connected to your PC via active, but it is connected, you will not see the green Active sync icon on your PC at this time, but you phone is still connected to your PC via active sync}, understand this...!
Next, while your phone is connected to your PC via active sync, push and hold the camera button for several seconds, keep trying until the color screen appear {BootLoader screen}, should the BootLoader screen appear, You will have to install a 6.0 ROM back in your device, before you put a 6.1 ROM on your device.
If the above method should fail, this is another method, but kind of difficult, soft reset your mobile device, while your phone is coming back up, press and hold down the the 2 soft key {Home Key and Back Key} and the camera buttons at the same time, until the color screen comes up, you may have to try this several times, be patient. Should the color screen come up, install a 6.0 ROM back on your device before installing a 6.1 ROM to your device. These 2 method have worked for me and others in the past......!

Vogue Updating Problems

After reading a bit about upgrading my Verizon Vogue, I decided I would really like to try NFS Fan's 6.5 rom. I began by unlocking my phone, per this article (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370) and everything seemed to go smoothly on the unlocking process. Now before I tried updating the new rom the phone booted back into the regular WM 6.0 just fine, until the screen went in to sleep mode, and it would never recover, requiring a soft reset to restart the phone every time.
Odd, but I was going to put NFSFan's 6.5 on there anyways, so I figured what the hell and kept going. The update of the ROM seemed to go just fine, once completed I hard reset the phone, and the phone would not pass the inital radio identification/verizon splash screen, requiring a hard reset to re-start the phone up to that point. I went ahead and tried a 6.1 ROM on the phone, and this time it get's to the WM Checking OS screen and locks up there (for hours on end, I forgot to turn it off) and required a hard reset to reset the phone back to this splash screen. So I start to get a little worried, and figured I'd try NFSFan's 6.5 again. Rom update went smoothly, phone reboots to the same point and after a hard reset again still only makes it to the checking OS flash screen. I tried 6.5 again a few times just to be sure, but it now appears I can't downgrade/update/side grade or make any kind of change to the phone.
The ONLY thing that bugs me is when I unlocked the phone (2.31 coke) is that the radio version seemed different then what everyone else had. The radio version is 1.60.30, which from all I could read meant the phone was not GPS capable, and that the unlocker I used was for GPS capable phones, like I should have used .40 coke instead. Could this have caused my problem? Below are a few pictures of the screens I can get to. Anyone know of a stock 6.0 rom for verizon I might be able to try to get back to?

Download and flash to update the radio to the latest Verizon ROM - you can find it via a search (Id point it out but in Atlanta GA training and on my phone)

be sure not to let the customizations run on the stock verizon rom..
if they run you will have a tough time getting gps to work
by this I mean to soft reset [pushing in the hole on the bottom with the stylus] on first boot after it asks you to set up a password

Too late, after the update finished I let it do it's thing after a hard reset and it was done before I even got around to looking at it.
That 6.1 rom does work, so if I have time tomorrow I'll give 6.5 a shot.

[Q] Need a solution to a very irritating problem.

OK i have a very irritating problem with my phone and i cant take it anymore! I have gprs and can use whatsapp but my phone shows as having no service or any signal. I cant call or text but i can do any gprs relating stuff. Realy odd. wifi and gps work ok too. my phone has been rooted and have cyanogen mod 7.1 installed. When i boot into the bootloader i get the following info:

I live in the uk. its a uk handset and im on t-mobile. The handset is unlocked to all networks.
What i wanna know is why im having this problem. if its the radio id like to know exactly which one ill need and if i cant sort it is there a way to reset the phone so it has the radio and stock rom it had on it before it was rooted. Ill be honest i dont have alot of time to read through threads and so far the web has been useless. I will pay for the help if i need to but i need a solution because no one can contact me!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

where do you see that you have not service? on the lock screen on the status bar or where?

Nandroid your current setup & flash ARHD and report back please. It could be a ROM issue..

I get no Service written on lock screen and get the no service icon at the top of my screen when I use my phone.

its a rom issue i had too when i used cm 7.1 i installed another rom and it worked perfectly on my dhd.i only replaced radio when i used a rom back then that gave me very low range of freq.

ok ive tried a few roms, a few radios. tried the nandroid and the 4 letter thing i cant remember aahk or something. anyway none of it worked. got my phone back to stock with same issue. it is the handset but i dunno what to do

Make sure the bottom plastic cover is placed properly, or replace it.
It houses the antenna for the phone.
It's the one you remove to acces your sim and SD card.

The cover ain't the issue because I have gprs but. No bars. And rarely I get bars and it still won't call or text.

u may have fried the radio whem u flashed the dhd.i suggest try and get it check by a techy.aahk only returns to stock system when its bricked.
ruu is for updating.have u tried formatting the entire system? as in nothin left on the device.use 4ext recovery back up everything.
nandroid is for back up has nothin to do with the network.odd to see the bottom cover as an issue.coz network still works even if u take it off the phone

I recently reset my unit and update everything, including Sygic GPS app and its maps.
1 Question:
Since the reset/update I have a problem with Sygic and Here maps. Both newer versions can't see External SD.
Inside these applications, in there settings if you tried to change here Maps are saved, these apps only see internal memory, nothing else.
- In settings/storage i managed to select external SD to main installation device, but it seems it install on internal SD anyway.
- If I unmount internal_sd, and try to launch Sygic or Here maps these apps won't open anymore. I get an error that they don't have anyhere where to write there config, something like that.
- In es explorer I can see the following in mnt (internal_sd, external_sd, external_sd2, usb_storage, usb_storage2) and many others.
- And I also see in es explorer many links (maybe simlinks ?) /sdcard, /mnt/external_sd/, /storage/sdcard , all these link to /mnt/internal_sd (maybe i have to unlink these an make new links ?)
- I have an external Samsung 64Gb SD card for GPS/Maps And a Sandisk 64Gb SD Card in the other slot for multimedia.
Is there a way to sygic to see external storage and install maps on SD card ?
2 Question:
I seen that Malaysk is developing alternatives and updated roms for the community (Congrates :good
Did my old Unit will support it ? Is it hard to proceed ? If compatible, I think I could give it a try
3 Question:
I seen by browsing a little over these forums (Android Auto & MTCB Android Units) that some users can Mirrorlink there Phone to the unit. So i downloaded the application
and have tried to link my Lenovo P2 (Ref P2a42 - updated to android 7.0) to my unit using EasyConnected 170221. I activated usb debugging and launched the app.
When i connect the phone I get an error, it say something like I have a wrong product id or serial number, something like that. But maybe my unit is not compatible ?

HI,
I have same problems with the same unit, after reset unit is back to Droid 4.2.2 (preinstalled 4.4.2)
Its possible, that MCU ist downgraded too (actually 2.02)
I can't run my DAB Stick any more, RCA Outputs are inactive, and many many other small issues.
Want to ask, any progress with Malaysk upgrade?
If so, pls describe what and how you did that - don't bother for your english, mine is horrible too

yesterday I done a system update, now I have Android 4.4.4, used a booroondook diy img.
RCA works again!
Still some issues like:
- poor Radio sound / poor Radio signal
- DAB+ app wont work with my DAB USB sticks (R820T Tuner). WaveSink + RTL Driver are too complicated for everyday use.
- reserse Cam is still mirrored
antenna booster is on the way, but how to fix reverse cam ? And which DAB+ module shoud I buy to get DAB+ app working ?
Should I update a MCU too? which version? acctally used 2.02, btw.: 2.02 is not listed here on [U R L="ht t p s://mega.nz/#F!zRRkVThb!DYBC0LRK-o34ZxDObQo73Q!XNwCna7S"]upload site[/URL]
I readed somewhere, I can´t update directy to latest,
will be better/safer, when I do that in little steps 2.03 -> 2.22 -> 2.40 -> 2.64->2.78 ?
Update 2:
MCU update done (direct from 2.02->2.78) thx to typos1 for small but important hint.
After MCU upgrade is antenna booster no more needed, radio provides clear and good quality sound
DAB+ is not important anymore.
Reversecam fixed!
Still 2 problems to solve
1. Mobile Internet does not work, tested on two dongle, both from Huawei, K5150 LTE and E1750 HSDPA+
2. Problems with TT installation....
when I get fix above, I will be back to DAB+ problem.
Update 3:
3G Dongle E1750 works again, I forgot to disable PIN code first.
