Does anyone know the system.prop to disable the high volume warning? I see in this Magisk Module that it modifies
Code:
audio.safemedia.bypass=true
but that doesn't seem to work on Samsung firmware. I remember finding the alternative setting somewhere, but I had to flash stock firmware and lost it, and can't seem to find it again.
By the time you are using Magisk instead of SuperSu just download the module ... If you want to do it by yourself just download BuildCrop from PlayStore, find the line, change it and you are done !

And if I'm not wrong you will find the same code with the difference that it will has true instead of false. I have not tried such a thing before so do it with your own risk

I do have the module, but it doesn't work (other comments on the thread have noted other Samsung phones it doesn't work for). I was planning on just changing the line the module edits to the line Samsung uses. Do you know what it is?
I really don't want you to boot loop or something like that... So in... Let's say 12 hours I will provide you a way to remove that option. I may boot loop but I really don't care, I'm gonna install a new room anyways

I was just in a boot loop, and just reflashed stock rom (which is why I need this setting, cause I had it before, but lost it). Thanks for the concern, but this is the ideal time to boot loop.

Ahahaha I feel you man. But something is stared getting on my nerves !!! I don't know if it is because I'm running Android 7.0 instead of Android 6.0, but I tried editing build.prop by adding a line on it...
audio.safemedia.bypass=true
But it does not seems to be working ... I found a threat on Reddit about that but they werre based on Android 6.0 .... So I have no idea what to do (you can download an app from PlayStore or even download Xposed and download a module ...) But it is even worth it ?

None of those flashable files seems to work. I'm truly sorry ... Maybe just go and ask the OP of that threat instead

So I went to far with modding, I didn't know when to stop, but now I do.
I have ROM toolbox (pro) and i started modding my phone like crazy, changing boot animations, icons and so on then i decided to change my framework (big mistake) But i still did it anyways all though it said use with extreme caution and i didn't think anything about it so i still did it and I made a backup it said it needed to reboot for it to work so I rebooted it turned on and everything slid the unlock slide and drew the unlock pattern and it froze and after about 5 seconds it restarted, i can do anything but unlock it and make an emergency call, when i tap emergency call it doesn't do anything not even restart, I have USB Debugging on and my backup of the framework is on my SD card, anything else you need just comment and i will tell you
All you have to do is go into recovery and restore a backup. You should still be able to get into recovery.

I do really want to flash one but I don't know why i can't i think it because my phone can't go into fastboot or my phone boot loader can't be unlocked (for free) and i don't want to be scammed, something like that
You can still flash back to stock... If you have the ftf for your model. You will lose what you have but you can always redo the edits you have made.

But alejandrissimo is great at unlocking bootloaders. I had mine done ages ago. Can't remember how much but it was worth it.

Only if you had a nandroid backup in recovery... There is a cwm installer for locked bootloaders. I used it for a while when I first got this phone. But that's the only way unless you manually push the old framework back into it then set permissions

One last thing, how can i do this, sorry, but if you tell me and it works i will thank every post you made on this thread
Hi there -
I recently bought a D851 LG G3 from someone who told me they had rooted and unlocked it using PurpleDrake, but otherwise had left it as stock. I like the phone quite well overall, but the oversharpening on text was really bugging me. I noticed that there's a thread with a fix for that (here) and figured I'd try it out.
First, I installed TWRP using the TWRP Manager app from the Play Store. Second, I rebooted into TWRP and installed the .zip file for the Sharpening Mod. All seemed to go okay -- I got to the part of the Mod asking me for sharpening level, and it finished successfully -- but when I rebooted the phone, it's stuck in a loop where it shows the LG logo for a few seconds, then reboots. Being the bonehead that I am, I forgot to backup the existing ROM before I did this.
So that leaves me with two questions:
1. How do I get the phone functional again? I was happy enough with the previous ROM and am not necessarily looking for a custom ROM, but if there's one that's very stable and that people recommend, I'm open to that. I'm hoping to get Lollipop on the phone once LG releases it, so I'd like to avoid doing anything that will interfere with that.
2. Did I do something wrong when trying to install the Sharpening Mod? I'd really like to get that issue fixed...without screwing up the phone in the process.
Thanks!
Uh oh... Flame on?

Why's that? I did some searching before posting this request -- hadn't seen a way to restore without losing root. If that's the only option, then fine, but I was hoping to see if there's a way to avoid having to re-root it. And I think the question of what ROM to use (Stock or if there's a Custom one that's stable and popular) so I can update to Lollipop when it comes out isn't unreasonable.
Also, even if I do have to go back to Stock and re-root, I was asking if I did something wrong in applying the Sharpening Mod -- so I can fix that issue properly next time. Again, my search didn't show any obvious answer to that question.

Try just reflashing a kernel if u have one on either ur phone or SD card. If u don't, download one onto ur PC (skydragon kernel would be my suggestion), boot into recovery, mount ur phone as MTP device, copy kernel to SD card and then flash kernel.

Thanks, that worked just fine...did exactly as you advised (Skydragon kernel and all). Then re-installed the Sharpening Mod fix and it all seems to have worked this time. Appreciate the help (and the education about not posting to the wrong sub-forum!).
Seems @nheolinkin solved this problem with a fair solution that I haven't tried (yet). Please go to his thread, I abandoned this experiment, but I thought I need to edit this post for a better solution and keep forum cleaner. Please visit:

Old experiment:
Hello folks!
I think i made it to unlock bootloader without any freezes.
This unlocker provides 6 different method to try.
If none of these work, there's nothing I can do more, sorry (for now...).
There's a latest beta script. I don't know it will freeze or not, go and test it.
First of all I am not responsible if it bricks your device and becomes unusable, so try if you want.
===AUTOMATED QUICK SCRIPT===
I made an automated flasher. Here's a quick explaination:
1 for my freeze patch.
2 for relock bootloader.

It will give you a better result but not the real fix.

Important Notes:
Thanks all the XDA Zenfone 5 Community and the friends that I've been talking about.
Disable dt2w for the reboots and I recommend using the latest Resurrection Remix by @tank0412, CM is a bit old; so that might do reboots.
Fastboot Archive (WIP): https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6AxuGkWld1yYVdFZTFLckhaUDQ&usp=drive_web
Ifwi Archive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6AxuGkWld1yWHV5Rm0yZUd4Q1U
When trying a new fastboot; for the best results you should wipe cache and dalvik cache.
If anyone bricked the phone when doing this, check the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/help/zenfone-5-a500cg-zenfone-6-a600cg-t3354645 (Credits to @swiczak )
@kanodiatushar tested and it worked. Thanks.
I searched about camera bugs and when i disable one core of my cpu, camera is not launching (I normally have camera on unlocked bootloader). So, about camera: Some cpu based bug on some devices makes camera bug on custom roms. Make sure you have four of four cores active and available.
Please give a credit to http://ozankaraali.com when sharing if it worked as i did to other users.
As I said, this is experimental and may or may not be working, even maybe it can brick your device and I need feedbacks negative or positive.

@ozank is it because of the if.bin i placed in /system/etc/firmware/ ?
or does it have something to do with the your fastboot?

I thank you for your efforts about trying at least and giving me a feedback
I am happy that seeing you having not much freezes at all until now
And i don't know what's making the freeze and what is not making the freeze, i was just trying to get a solution, i researched that from the other users' ideas.
I think the if.bin placement is the key, without it, it freezed a lot more according to my experiment.
But as i said this solution wasn't the end of the all freezes so i am still searching the problem but it makes a little bit difference at least and wanted to share for relaxing our devices a bit.
Files were from the 1.18ish version (JB) and i will try earlier files like 1st asus rom and if it makes difference i will share.
i tried reverting back to 1.17.40.16WW and use the official unlocker and after unlock i immediately flashed the RR-MM rom and it freezed....
I will test it for a day... but can you suggest me if it will work on the RR-MM rom?
i mean i flash the rom
place the if.bin
set permission
and then unlock again using the files you provided?

I did like so on cm13 rom. I didn't revert, only changed fastboot images and i am having 12 hour no freeze duration and wanted to share the way, no need to officially unlock, it makes no difference except warranty. I will try to use ifwi, dnx and fastboots of other versions for no freeze at all and i think it varies for the different product bands (like august vs june factory phones).
So, when you trying this way make sure fastboot and ifwi, dnx files of same date and copy if to firmware.
There is just one if.bin for unlocking so this makes the problem and it cannot be compiled by anyone except asus, so we are trying to find the most compatible fastboot and dnx-ifwi bins to our phone. I think that's the key and kernel might search for if.bin on firmware folder if i understand correctly, if it couldnt find it freezes. (If the case is not placebo at all)

try to flash if.bin again, if it doesn't work revert to v1.
edit: it's a testing build and as i said it may not work and even brick the device, so be careful.
that gave me a a1 bootloader and when i controlled that said signed bootloader, maybe this was a bug and first post edited with your feedback, i will try this build for a night and will report if it freezes.

With 20 Kernel 19 System of dgadelha's CM, i didn't get any reboots on night charge and logcat terminal was there on morning. Thanks for your input. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with the process you described. And so i have a few questions. The systemless root....is that basically installation of superuser? Do any of these (systemless root, custom recovery) need to be specific to this version of the software? Would you be able to recommend a thread on how to perform this through odin?

First off some things you should do before ever flashing or rooting your phone.
1. Make sure ReActivation Lock is OFF. (Its in Settings>Security>Reactivation Lock = make sure its unchecked)
2. Turn on Developer options. (Goto Settings>About device and tap Build Number 4 to 5 times; then develepers options will be in settings menu, goto that and turn on USB Debugging)
3. You'll need Official Samsung Drivers HERE! Install this to your PC!
4. Always Backup Phone!! After you install TWRP.
IM gonna assume your on a Stock ROM. To root your gonna need to use Odin to flash TWRP, then once thats done we'll root from there.
You'll need these files :
1:
Odin3.11 from Here. It's straight from sam mobile. Is what I use and never have problems. You'll install this to your Windows PC.
2:
TWRP 3.0.2.0 tar file from Here. This file is only for the Sprint Note4 SM-N910P, So that better be the phone you have!! Download and save to PC! You can Thank bigbiff at this Thread.
3:
Lastly you need SuperSU Here! Thanks to Chainfire at this Thread! Download and save to your Phones SD card or Internal memory.
Now you have the files. Make sure you dont have samsung Kies running while installing or flashing your phone. Actually Dont have any other programs running when Flashing your phone.
1st - Install Samsung Drivers to your PC.
2nd - Install Odin to your PC.
3rd - Copy SuperSU zip file to your phone.
Now unplug your phone and turn it off. And open Odin Program as Admin. Now on your phone hold down the Vol down button + Home button + Power button at same time until a screen shows a Warning. then you'll press Volume up to continue to Download Mode.
Once in Download mode plug into usb cord to PC. Your pc should install some drivers then Odin will show your device as connected. Goto options tab in Odin and make sure all the boxes are unchecked except F. Reset Time.
Then click the log tab so we can watch the progress were gonna make. Then click the AP button and load the Twrp file you downloaded into that.
Click Start, Let it do what it does, dont touch anything until it done. Once down unplug phone and take out battery for 5 seconds.
Put battery back in and press Vol up + Home + Power until phone boots into Twrp Recovery.
Once in Recovery I sugessst to do a Full Backup.
Then you can Hit Install button in Twrp and find the Super SU file you saved on phone and Install and reboot when it says. Your ROOTED!!
Hope this isnt too confusing. It really isnt that hard. But it's easier to do than to explain.
FYI,
And Yes, systemless root is super SU in this case. All newer stock samsung roms can only be rooted with systemless root. System root won't work. There are ways to do it with custom roms and kernels though. And also there are other root apps like superuser, but this is the most common way.
Thanks aaron74 i was at work trying to explain between customers
Been away for a while so just now reading this thread. Many Thanks to you both for the links and detailed explanations. I will try this soon and advise how it turns out.
By the way, is this the same method to root a Sprint galaxy S4 on latest stock rom? Want to do this on my kid's phone also.
Oh and I assume this will trip KNOX correct?

Yes it will trip Knox.
And the s4, not sure exactly, but it will be very similar. But obviously have its own twrp file. Just goto it's forum and do a search for root. Something should pop up.
Ok thanks again for your help
Hay so its been awhile since i did any messing with my note 4. I wanted to be able to use android pay. But i read a comment about some system ui customized program and it said android pay still worked. So was able to root thanks to the help from the kind folks in this forum. You guys are much appreciated. Now I have a question about tethering. Can I unlock the hotspot on the stock ROM?

Can you please elaborate, where did you find g-tools? Was it easy and is it stable? Does the phone overheat like non-official hotspot stuff does? Thanks ! ! ! ! !

Have it on a S4 and it does not get hot. Yes, it is easy, at least on the S4. As far as I have used it, it has been stable.

THANKS! EASIEST ROOT EVER! I was going to downgrade to PE1 cause that's the only info I can find, thanks so much to the two who posted regarding this.
TIPS:
TWRP won't flash: I've had issues with TWRP where it won't flash in the past, this happened to me once again. It was going to an installing update screen after flashing, then some error message, then went to Samsung recovery instead of TWRP. SOLUTION: Pull battery after install, then it will stick. If needed rinse and repeat, eventually TWRP will install properly.
Hotspot: You can message some guy to get hotspot supposedly, a few messages above this one.
Knox: I couldn't disable knox first time, on second try it worked. I recall this happened last time as well on my note.

Does anyone know if xposed is safe to install on PJ1 rooted?
I flashed PureNexus. It's the same thing but with more hiccups and slow frame rates, and the few extra features are gimmicky or don't work. I'd like to know how to get the stock ROM back. I can't find a download anywhere. Putting the factory image on it is tedious and I would have to start over and lose root and TWRP, which would suck. If that's the only choice, some simply laid out steps would help (the ones already on the site confuse me). Thanks!

You will lose root and TWRP, bit not your data and apps. Pay attention to removing the -w from flashall bat file. Third post in the thread below is everything you need.

I don't think you need to wipe anything. But backup your important data first. If it goes bad, then put the -w back in. That will wipe the data and all.

There's no -w anywhere, I don't get it :/ and there's no way to edit the batch file, nor is there a w at the end in the first place

You got it set up on a PC right?
Right click edit. Yea the -w is in there, near the end.
