I keep a metal plate under my MNML case without any issue. You can feel it under there but it's not that noticeable. I also have a full dBrand skin on my phone, too.

No. I have the matte black version. You wouldn't be able to tell it's there unless I told you, probably.

Sold out currently but something to consider
Spigen rugged armor will fit with a thin metal plate under it, they also make a version with the cut out for the metal plate called Spigen Thin Fit. I have the rugged armor with a metal plate under it and it fits and works great, I do not have the other but it is in the pictures on amazon.
I just received the X-Level case which is quite thin and I can't really notice the metal plate I sandwich between the case and the phone.

Yeah, I've seen the Thin Fit but I hate the design of the sides of it.
Rugged armor is really nice and the plates easily fit

This is what using too with a metal plate for a magnetic car mount. Works well.
Another Rugged Armor user here with a plate. I'm using Anker's mag plate with mine. There is a slight bump and the case starts showing some wear usage around the edges of the raised bump from the plate. But it's hardly noticeable unless you look for it. The case is also thin enough to allow a strong connection with the magnet mount. My buddy has a mount in his Jeep and it held my 2XL easily while hitting some bumpy ORV trails.

i've been looking around for a thin case for my new evo.
i just ordered a barely there case b/c it was the thinnest with camera protection. all the cases i've read about or see online do one or the other. either protect the camera or add too much bulk in the front (or doesn't protect the camera lens).
has anyone found a case that has a slight "lip" to protect the lcd when laying it down lcd down AND also covers up the camera "ring" when laying it down camera down?
or is this just too much to ask?
The Incipio Edge is probably the thinnest that provides both protections. I had the Seidio Innocase for a while, it was rather thin and protected both. I just wish the Edge and the Barely There came in colors other than pink and black. I really don't want my phone to look like a Hot Topic fat chick circa 2002.
I don't know if the Ringke Rearth cases add bulk but they definitely have a lip to protect the lcd and also have your camera covered.
I used to use the barely there, but I stopped because I got an extended battery, and will not be going back to it because I don't like that it creates tiny scratches on the sides.
I have an Amzer tpu argyle case. Its very nice, good fit, rubbery bit not sticky, face and camera protection. Found it at amazon for about $10. It looked semi-scuffed when I opened it but I cleaned it with windex amd after a couple days the scuffs dissapeared

Nice case. Thanks
has anyone found a case that has a slight "lip" to protect the lcd when laying it down lcd down AND also covers up the camera "ring" when laying it down camera down?
The Rearth Rinke case is what you're looking for. Protects both the camera and lcd. Only adds about 2mm to the width of the phone. Fit, finish and attention to detail are perfect. Even a cutout for the HTC logo on the back. Not flimsy on the sides like the Otterbox Impact.

Check out the ebay cases I posted
Has anyone purchased a case like this? I am assuming that it is a TPU case with an aluminum bezel thingy around the outside. I would like to see it on a phone to see how much thicker it makes the phone (it looks to be a very thin alternative to a full aluminum bezel). I also am curious as to if it is actually TPU or another material. Thoughts?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blue-Samsun...ccessories&hash=item231edaa84b#ht_1465wt_1071
P.S. It is also fairly cheap.
It doesnt mention that its TPU.
To me, it looks like a plastic back. I think that if it fell, the clips would break that hold the back to the aluminum.

looks like aluminum and polycarbonate to me, I doubt it's TPU. TPU isn't brittle enough to clip like that, which is why you don't see many TPU cases for slider phones.
That would be sweet though if it were made with TPU along the back with that bezel. Looks nice.

Sent from my phone. Prepare for atrocious Swype typos.
I own a OnePlus One with the Bamboo back and as most people already know, it's actually quite thicker than the normal sandstone black and silk white backs and also a bit heavier. Because of this, most cases won't fit. I already tried putting on a naked clear case but my phone was too thick. Hopefully others with the Bamboo back could post here what cases would fit so we can put together a sort of list of confirmed cases that fit the Bamboo OPO.

I was debating to open a thread for this too, but here, I have these cases:
6x Aluminium Bumper Case (no SIM slot)
4x Ringke Fusion Case
2x Orzly Fusion "Bumper" Case
1x TUDIA Slim Fit Dual-Layer Cygen
1x TUDIA Ultra Slim LITE TPU Bumper
1x Diablo Jkase Rugged Case
Aluminium Bumper Case: I wouldn't use these because I don't want to damage the plastic on the side of the phone, as well as get my bamboo scratched. But it does fit, screws require a bit more pressure for locking in, which brings me to my original point, I don't want to damage the orange-ish plastic.
Ringke Fusion Case: I'm using this on my Daily Driver OnePlus One (Bamboo) atm, as well as my developer OnePlus One (sandstone) - I love these cases, it feels so high quality and fits around the device well. As you can see, I have 4 because two of them were the first batch which were quite loose.
Orzly Fusion "Bumper" Case: Rubbish. It doesn't shape around the edges of the phone and the lips of the "lay-on-the-table" design is so loose, I'd toss these out if I were you.
TUDIA Slim Fit Dual-Layer Cygen: Fits, but as usual the flaws are that the hard plastic does not align properly with the TPU is more obvious than on the Sandstone. Bad first batch, but not for everyone - as the manufacturing line is different.
TUDIA Ultra Slim LITE TPU Bumper: I have the clear version to show off the back. It looks good, and fits very well. As usual, clear displays the bamboo design quite well.
Diablo Jkase Rugged Case: It was a rather "loose" case to begin with, so it fits well with the bamboo styleswap/bamboo device. However, why would you buy a case to cover your bamboo anyways?

Wow! That's solid helpful. The one I wanted to get but didn't fit when I tried it on was the Bepak Slim Transparent Case so stay away from that if you've got the bamboo. I really wanted a clear case coz I didn't want to cover the Bamboo but after trying the Bepak case I didn't think any slimfit clear case would fit. Glad to hear the Ringke Fusion Case fits! Do you have the clear one? I think I might just order one.

Sorry, can I just confirm, is the Aluminium Case you mention first the one by kwmobile/KW-Commerce? And, if it is, you say you wouldn't choose it because of potential scratching, but do you think it's still a good case in that it protects the screen from being damaged?

Yeah because that case is actually already very snug on the sandstone version of the OnePlus, with the added thickness at the back, it will scrape along the plastic and the bamboo (I had a lot of experience with aluminium bumpers with added thickness battery covers (Note 3 + Al bumper + Al battery cover) and the battery cover was scratches so much). It will protect your screen somehow (I did drop my sandstone OPO with a tempered glass on solid concrete and it was perfectly fine)

strongly disagree. I'd recommend Orzly Fusion bumper case. The fit is perfect, not too tight. Fits perfectly round the edges and definitely not loose on the 'lay-on-the-table' part. I also own Ringke & Diztronic.

my diztronic tpu slim cases fit pretty good as well. you put them on like you would with the regular back then just run your fingers around the edges and it falls right into place. I have 4 different colors from different batches and all fit fine. I also have the ringke fusion.. its actually on my phone right now. Its got the clear back and tinted sides. Fits 99.9% perfectly! Its my go to case for sure.

I just got this case yesterday, I ordered on May 5th and I received it on May 13th. Very fast shipping from US to Canada. Case looks and fits nicely, the edges are glossy but the back of the case has a nice matte finish with that "Amzer" logo. As for drop protection, It would probably survive, but keep in mind that the case is very thin (about 1 mm thick on all sides). It's not like an Otterbox case, but I prefer these types of thinner cases.
These are one of the nicest ones available right now besides the generic unbranded tpu cases, and I'm also waiting for this one to come in the mail: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/C1-NILLKIN-N...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item35e86b1904

Yes, it does have a lip that covers that entire phone, it keeps the screen at least 1 mm off the ground when you put it face it down. And yeah, I can't wait for that Nillkin case, it covers everything on the phone from the headphone jack, volume buttons and charging port. Everything except the camera

I have this case, which I feel matches the nillkin tempered glass screen protector very well. (looks like they may be OOS for the ZF2)
I received the Amzer case two days back. I'm not too happy with the case and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
The pros are...
1. It covers all the sides and has a lip the protects the screen.
2. The buttons have neat cutouts.
3. The back is a nice Matt finish.
The cons are...
1. The case is slightly loose on the lower side near the USB port.
2. The sides have an unfinished sharp edge running across all 4 sides. This spoils the feel of the case when you hold it in your fingers.
3. Glossy sides spoil the look and make it look cheap.
4. On two sides there's a small extrusion that looks like an unfinished factory flaw from the moulding process.
In the past I have used TPU cases from vendors like Diztronic and I have to say the quality of those cases was way better. For the price Amzer is charging for this case they should have delivered a quality product.
I got this case from eBay UK:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301580146391?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
And I can recommend it. Cutouts are good, it's slim but still just overhangs the screen to protect it. In fact, you hardly notice it when it's on.

So this case covers the buttons on the phone? All the other cases just leave a cutout, which i imagine would make them hard to press.

Yes the case covers the buttons, and are easy to press. The power button is actually easier then without a case.
I have another TPU case and has cutouts. The volume buttons are still accessible with that one, but the power button is a real pain to press.
just received the nillkin tpu case
very nice case for the price its well built barely adds any bulk and provide decent protection
The original Asus case seems good, with textured finish that should give good grip:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1147172-REG/asus_90xb00ra_bsl2n0_bumper_case_for_zenfone.html
I haven't ordered it yet, but so far is my first consideration. It seems better than other cheap TPU cases I've looked at. as most of them seem to have a smooth finish and seem slippery. I also don't like the "shiny" look most of these TPU cases have.

I am using the Spigen one. I think it is the slimmest that still protects for the camera bump.

I went through quite a few cases and ended up purchasing the Nillikin case and absolutely love it. I needed a case with added grip and some camera protection.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MAZLX5R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_B-poybKTP18S5
It does not protect the top and bottom like many snap on cases but is thin and has a raised area around the camera. I'd be comfortable laying the phone on a flat surface now. I have the spigen rugged armor which is thicker and protects the entire phone.

Looks sweet. Thanks.
Can't comment on Nillkin or Spigen cases, never had them. I went Ringke Fusion on the LG G4 and have never looked back. Received my v20 case today (clear/smoke) and put it on. It's VERY marginally recessed compared to where the camera bump is. Is perfectly flat/balanced on an even surface, so you can operate the phone one-handed on the desk if you need to.
My recommendation is to leave the plastic film on the back of the phone where the camera is, any protection you can give it without affecting photo quality will help. I just need a good screen protector now...
Hope that helps.

I tried the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case and it is the most minimalist but doesn't have enough protection in my opinion.
I ended up returning it not for that reason, but due to the "yellow" tone of the case itself...I contacted Spigen and they are looking into replacements.
I purchased the Ringke [Fusion] Clear PC Back TPU Bumper in Smoked Black...perfect fit and better protection that looks great with the Titan V20.

If you want something with protection while being slim, I'd suggest the UAG LG V20 Plasma Feather-Light Rugged. Been using it since I got my V20 and it's slim and light with plenty of grip, originally I thought that it'll be big and bulky like the OtterBox cases but it's slim enough and knowing it's UAG you don't really have to worry about protection. Even tho it's pricy it's worth it.
You can consider using the Verus crystal bumber case, this and others like spigen to name a few are your only option, just keep the protection film on for added protection, for me I also added a tempered glass protector for both camera lens without any affect what so ever.

I went through quite a few cases and ended up purchasing the Nillikin case and absolutely love it. I needed a case with added grip and some camera protection.

It does not protect the top and bottom like many snap on cases but is thin and has a raised area around the camera. I'd be comfortable laying the phone on a flat surface now. I have the spigen rugged armor which is thicker and protects the entire phone.

I ended up buying this case. It arrived today and my search is now over. There's simply no way a V20 case could be slimmer than the Nillikin while still offering camera protection. It's awesome. EXACTLY what I was looking for, so thank you!
The top and bottom are protected well enough with the lip extensions on each end.
I bought this off aliexpress, and it's pretty great. perfect fit and some improvement in grip.

downside is, it's glossy and quite the fingerprint magnet especially in a humid country like SG, and the alignment is slightly off for the fingerprint/home button.
otherwise, the port covers are awesome and it'll definitely prevent the lint buildup.
looking to get a tempered glass next.
also, for SG sets, it comes with a promotional pack of 3 back protectors and 2 iRing and a screen protector. will upload pictures soon!

I agree, one of the thinniest case around with the best protection, the case has a built in dust cap for both the charging port and headphone socket.

Actually it was you who I quoted, but I though you went for the tpu one by nillkin, not the hard case, so yes, it was a mistake on my part.
The Spigen Rugged Armor. 12 bucks on Amazon.
Evocell $10 or less. 3 layered case with holster. Thin and protective. Found on Amazon. Search Evocell LGV20.
