Which image viewer app would you recommend for this phone?
I know we have the default "Photos" app, but it only works if you include the folders.
For example, I don't include the "screenshots" folder, because I don't want to back it up to the cloud (Google Drive) by Photos app.
Tx.
You don't have to include the folders to view the contents?!
Just goto the menu and go in device folders.
You can just turn off folders for backup on Google Photos

I like a program called F-stop gallery pro. It's worth the money IMHO.

Hello,
How are you?
I have a small problem.
My gallery app shows 4 albums I do not want there.
I select them, but there is no delete option.
The albums are:
- Wall pictures
- Profile Pictures
- Blogger Pictures
- An experimental blog I started.
I went to the account sync and disabled google photos, but the albums are still there.
Any solution?
Thank you.
Best wishes!

Use Root Explorer (download it from Play Store) to create a file called .nomedia in whatever folder on your sd card from which you do not want any pictures showing up in your gallery. This works 100%

Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz
You can also just do a search from your computer of your phone and copy and paste the file to where you want. Subdirectories will also be excluded so just stick it in the parent folder.
When I open the gallery app it is grabbing all the photos I have there this is a major issue for me because I have over 1300 books with covers and I have thousands of photos saved in my dropbox account. This is causing my gallery to be extremely slow.
Is there a place in settungs I can limit what gallery looks at? Or do I need to go to each folder and put .nomedia file in each folder.

go to gallery app, click options, click view by and from there you can choose which accounts to have or not to have inside your gallery. just disable dropbox, picasa etc. and you will see the speed back to normal. hope this helps.
Hi friends,
how can i create own albums in xperia Z1comp. Album app?
don't see the option there. i have imported more than 2000 photos from iphone during migration.
i had folders in iphone also have them in my note2.
is it possible with default app ? or should i use diff one (which one) ?
thanks for your help
QuickPic
Small and blazing fast app, supports folders.
Stock album app is only able to display whatever file structure you have plus some internal extras (like faces, map, etc.) - no chance to create own albums with that app.
Qiuckpic looks fine. Better then stock app but still not comfortable as samsung's one

Hi,
I have noticed that, default camera apps load all the pics from your storage's "DCIM" folder and its subfolders.
Do we have any solution on this?
its supposed to do that. DCIM folder is specifically for the pictures taken by your camera. just put the pictures in a different folder than DCIM. They wont show up in your camera app and in default galley's collection.

Agree, but other folder under DCIM are not created by me, these are app generated. Like FB App, creates it folder under DCIM as "FaceBook" to save the pics from app. What do you suggest?

I tried the same thing and yes any file in DCIM or in its sub folder is showing on camera app. I think this has to do something with the facebook app. None of the other apps are saving pictures in the DCIM folder in my phone.

You can use this as a guide, starting from the Google Drive app :
https://videotron.tmtx.ca/en/topic/samsung_galaxynote10plus/using_google_drive.html#step=10
Or, just start from the Samsung "My Files" app (or, whatever file app you're using) Any of them should have the share option (once you select which items you want to move), with Google Drive being one of the apps (places) you can send your item.
The Samsung My Files app shows the SD Card as soon as you open it, that's where I'd start.

Firstly, @KOLIOSIS method in his above post,
otherwise another way i do it,
is in my file Explorer (FX) ( I'm sure other file explorer is similar?)
I select the relevant video or photo ( SD card ), long press /three dots menu above /Share /then i select G_ Drive
See my screenshot
Good luck
Just use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync called Autosync for Google Drive.
