Charger hard to connect? - Huawei Watch

For the past few months I've had a very hard time getting my watch to connect to the charger. Has anyone else has this issue? Thinking about trying to clean the charging port with alcohol. I can usually get it to connect, but sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes to get to the "sweet spot." It's become such a problem that I've ordered a Ticwatch E, but I know I won't be as happy with that hardware.

Thanks so much. I searched using "charger" rather than "charging."

What works best for me is to hold the watch above the charger and let the magnets pull the charger up to the watch. Works first time almost every time.

I used the tip of a Phillips head screwdriver, and just swirled it in the posts until I could see gold on each of them. Working much better now.

HTC One charger busted

Hi all. I had my One for almost a month now however just this morning I noticed the charger block is not charging the phone anymore.. At first I thought it was the phone having the charging problem but have finally concluded that it was the block having the problem. Have tried shaking it and can hear powder like sound inside. I wanted to open it but there are no screws to even begin with. Anyone experienced the same problem with the charger? Or could there be a way to restore this aside from having it replaced? Thanks in advance.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Powder? Crack it open with a hammer and post pics. You sure you didn't stuff your stash in the USB port. I hear tweakers do some strange things. Lol
Reminds me of a story: One of our nephews was doing that stuff and cut up his parents carpet to shreds in the middle of the night because he was trying to catch "carpet worms" haha.
I would just toss it myself. But then again I have so many alternative charging cords and "blocks" through out the house. Those things are available at every mini mart and store check stand around here for around $5. The wife bought a pink set up just last week so it wouldn't vanish.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Don't even worry about trying to "fix" it , you're more likely to set your house on fire later on if you don't know what you're doing. They are cheap but most people have 2-5 extra lying around anyway.
I'm a bit puzzled now because it suddenly worked again. Could it be that it overheated and shut itself off that time? But it was not even hot earlier. Almost tried cracking it with a hammer but thought of trying it one more time haha!

Zerolemon 7000mah extended battery rubber casing question..

First I'd like to say that I am disappointed that I didn't patent such incredible engineering... It just seems so obvious now... Incredible..
Alright, back on topic. Has anyone with this battery run into problems with the case getting stretched? I've only had mine for like 2 days but I feel like it might be a problem...
I realize that there has to be some give so that it can be put on but the sides kind of bother me. The corners seem solid, though.
Thanks for your input

Mine has been solid since the day I got it. It is tight but has a little give when you take it off.

Has it gotten progressively worse? I haven't taken mine off since I put it on the first time.
Also I've been trying to wear the battery out to 0% for the first couple charges..I know Google tells me it does nothing but the instructions say to...so idk.
What did you do?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I followed the instructions and my battery lasts for days. I trust what ZeroLemon tells me. Also, I mess with my case all the time and stretch it out and it always goes back to a strong tight form.

I'm about 5 days in now. I have not noticed any stretching, however, I do feel like it fits a bit loose.
For instance, when I am holding it towards the bottom end and I reach for the volume/power buttons
the whole thing kinda shifts. It isn't much, but it annoys me quite a bit. I plan on strategically using
bits of tape for a more uniform fit.

I sort of know what you mean.
It kind of bugs me to feel the phone at all :/ but nothing good comes without any consequences.
How about this 6x discharge thing? I'm managing to kill this battery in less than 24 hours, probably because of tethering.
I can't see myself getting 3 days out of this battery...
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
The day I got the battery it was at 48%. I used it for a little more than 24 hours with that initial charge till it died and then charged for 13 hours. Off that charge I made it 3 days and 18 hours with 6 hours screen on and mostly streaming music. Right now I'm at 15 hours with 70% left which seems a little worse then before, but that's 6 hours straight streaming with ****ty sprint service. It would take a bit of effort for me to kill it in 24h.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I didn't even turn my phone on and charged it fully before using it, let it die completely (two days) , recharged it and ran it down until it died and recharged it....but when I got the green light and unplugged it... It was at 81%,which was yesterday. I plugged it back in to get it to 100 and unplugged it this morning and I'm at 34% with about 4 hours of tethering.
Espn streak for the cash app seems to absolutely destroy my battery...
I dunno if I'm doing it wrong, the numbers are where they should be or zerolemon has some lemons...
I don't know if I should charge it tonight or try and get 6 full discharges... I heard it doesn't matter but it couldn't hurt..? Except for the article that explained how that can actually hurt...
Fml, so complicated

I'd probably kill it in 12 hours or less using wireless tether and nothing else

Yeah I feel the same way. I tend to ignore it though, since I do have like 3 times more battery life now
How strictly did you follow their instructions to fully charge and discharge the battery 6 times before becoming more liberal with it? I feel like I need to charge tonight but I've only burned it down 2 times I think, maybe 3 hut I don't think so.

Is My Phone Broken: JB Random Power Downs?!

I realize there's been other threads about the topic, but not this specific model and this situation. Specs...
Model: SPH-D710
Android Version: 4.1.2
Build: GB27
Anyway I haven't installed any new apps, obviously apps have been updating, but I haven't installed anything new recently. It started happening just over the past three days, the phone screen will flicker, like it's struggling to refresh then I'll loose cell phone signal, the screen will lock and then power off. When I try to power back on it shows the battery drained? I plug into a power source, let it set for a minute, it shows the correct charge and I can power it back on. It's happening roughly three times a day!
Aside from being annoying, yesterday I was on the road using it for navigation, and it crapped out. I had to find a rest-stop and do the recharge dance. Thank god I had a charger, otherwise.. well I'd have to find a gas station and ask someone, but really that's so barbaric right
So has anyone heard or seen this before? I'm hoping it doesn't mean I need a new phone, it's barely a year old. When it works I love this phone, but it's such a delicate POS sometimes, it really drives me nuts. Any help would be welcome
How's your battery? I have had problems similar to yours because my battery was dieing.

My battery drained pretty fast, I installed Greenify and that seemed to help, however I uninstalled Greenify and I'm still having the issue.
Ok take your battery out and sping it on the flat sides. If it spins like a top replace it.

Glad to hear it's a battery issue, however I'd remiss if I didn't ask about this spinning battery diagnostic. So does the battery's casing expand when it's going bad, or getting older? Or were you just screwing with the new guy
Screwing with you. Just kidding. On these batteries when they start to swell you can aldo notice an effect on the charhe it holds. I forgot who actually found it out. But when you can spin it feely its going bad. A new battery will maybe get a turn or two.

Panasonic QE-TM101

Unless I've missed it from my research but I haven't seen any mention of this Wireless Qi charger from Panasonic. Seems pretty good as it also goes and detects the device, so no need to move the phone or the tablet around to ensure it is charging. One fairly common complaint I notice is that they have to move the device around to ensure the charger finds the phone\tablet.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this as I may be picking it up for my Sexy Nexie 4 and 7. Or at the very least, here's another option for everyone to look into for their devices.
Here's a video review of some drunk guy on YouTube.

I have had mine for a couple of weeks. Love it. My tablet pretty much stays charged all the time.

I have one I bought for my Nexus 4 as soon as my N4 arrived in January. Works fine with the Nexus 7 - although never seems to switch off from charging. When I leave it charging over night the charge light almost always on in the morning but the Nexus 7 only feels barely warm. So probably it is just trickle charging.

From your experience approximately how long does it take to charge the Nexus 7? My other concern about wireless charging is how it affects the battery life overall. I'm assuming you guys only place it on the charger from empty to full all the time?

x2, I am afraid it would shorten the battery life.
Pretty much I am either holding my nexus or it is laying on the charger. From its lowest point, maybe 20%, it will charge to full in 4-5 hours. Then the light on the charging pad starts flashing.

---------- Post added at 02:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:28 PM ----------
I should add, the nexus is noticeably warm when I take it off the charging pass. This is not a trickle charge.

To clarify my earlier post:
Charging for N7 takes a long time - I guesstimate charging time is 5 or 6 hours. I normally charge it overnight. My N4 charges and switches off at around 95%. N7 charges to full charge.
The Panasonic charging coil seeks out the best position for charging the device. The N7 coil is physically in the centre of the back, so position placement really doesn't matter much.

flashing means something wrong
I have one, works perfectly well with the Nexus 7. The charging coil in the station is motorized, so it'll sound like a quiet inkjet printer when it positions the coil, but it's not loud at all and doesn't bother me. Works especially well if it's on your nightstand... especially when it's time to go to bed and you're too tired to bother with a cable or another Qi charger in the dark. As long as you don't place the tablet like halfway off the station, it should work.
As far as cutting off charge, some people have said that it charges to 100% then won't initiate charging again until the device drops to 90%. Haven't really had a chance to test it, but every time I've picked up my tablet after a night of charging, my Nexus is at 100%.
totally not trying to thread-crap.... just figured I should mention that AT&T is selling the Nokia DT900 at half price.. $25 for wireless charging is great way to give it a try. It's working perfectly with my N7 and N4... I just ordered a 2nd.

Thanks I've seen the thread and it is a very good deal
Have had this since my nex 4 this came out a year or two ago, I saw it there when I was in japan.
worked fine on my nex4 and nexus 7 2nd gen.
I tried it with the yijieneng receiver on my s4 but didnt work with case on, didn't try it without.
been using the samsung pad because it tops off the battery, where as the panasonic stops once it hits 100%.
I ordered one friday, and it arrived today (tuesday) from eBay second hand for about $25
Using a generic QI receiver from ebay, when i first turned it on and put my phone on, 'oh hello phone here have some power'
then my curiosity attacked me and said 'THERES A BUTTON THERE PRESS THAT BUTTON WHATS IT DO!? so i pressed it then got to spend some time trying to figure out what i had done. DONT PRESS THE BUTTON, i think it has different modes, for finding the phone, after i pressed it the pad wasn't happy with my phones location and just kept moving left and right not charging.. but its working now xD
Im trying to find a copy of the manual online but not having any luck...
Haven't tested the speed yet, but its rated at 1amp so i presume it to be the same as most QI chargers on the market
Edit: speed is great.

Odd. I, too, had purchased a Nokia DT900, and it did not work with the Nexus 7 for me - AT ALL! I have since read that it didn't work for many Nexus owners.
I had to return it.
I then bought this Panasonic model, and it's been flawless (even through my MOKO case).

Sorry to hear it. The DT900 was a total bust with my N4, but still working great with my N7.
Sigh, as others have said, it still feels like this is such a beta level feature (ie. that there has to be so much luck getting the right combination of products to make it work)
Still waiting for mine that was ordered from eBay. Once I saw the tracking feature with the LEDs it was an instant buy, lol.

Anyone have the Lugulake wireless charger/battery bank?

I've just received it in the post. Just trying to figure out the instructions.
Once plugged in i have a solid red light and a flashing blue light.
I assume this means charging the battery bank?
What does the silver button actually do?
Thanks

I've got two. One was never used. Took bout an hour to get a full change. (No flashing blue lights.) The other I have used a few times to top up the phone. I never did fully charge this one before use. Been charging for quite awhile now.

I doesn't take long to charge the battery pack if you have a good power supply to plug it into. I am using a 12w usb charging adapter and it seems to work fine. Phone charges quickly wirelessly haven't tried wired much except to see that it does work. Also both work at the same time! I am liking it but have only had it a couple of days so far.
Almost forgot the manual is horribly written, truly the worst manual I have ever personally seen. It looks like it was written by a 10 year old kid whose second language is English. It probably even worse than a google translation! LOL In fact I would almost bet thats what they did to write the Engrish part.

I wouldn't know about NFC. How do I check that?
I'm on my second Lugulake after the first one stopped charging after 3 days. The wifi worked but the battery would not hold a charge. They sent me a replacement unit.
I got mine through Amazon.
The unit works great as it has a good surface area, and using the usb cable, I'm able to plug it into my cigarette lighter in my car to charge wirelessly. I like the fact I can unplug and essentially still have a charging I can take anywhere without a plug.
The only gripe I really have is for a 70 dollar item, it feels flimsy. It's made of all plastic and it feels more like a 30 dollar item.
I'll be able to test it out further during the Thanksgiving holidays to make sure this isn't another faulty unit.
