Hi I am a newbie and just bought a samsung i780.
The trackpad is fantastic but i found that the left edge of the trackpad is not working (aprox. 30% on the left of whole trackpad). Use left index finger to move up and down on the gap between windows button and the pad, it seems not working. But the right edge is ok.
But anyway, i use thumb rub at the center and it still working.
Just want to know this is as design or defect? Anyone of your i780 have such issue?
thanks,
Nope. No such problem.
As for me, my trackpad is 'oversensitive' as described by the technician. The mouse will move by itself and worse thing is that it will simulate the 'clicking' of the button also. Right now it's in the service centre... not sure if they can do anything about it though....
Hello Community,
My Uncle dropped his phone yesterday into a small puddle, Initially the screen would power on and work perfectly except the screen would not respond to any touches, after leaving it in rice over night and all day the screen is now responding to touch(I have even done tests drawing perfect lines and swype keyboard works perfect) But every couple of minutes the phone starts opening radom apps and the touchscreen starts freaking out(I enabled the Show touches option in the developer menu and you can see the touches flying all across the screen)
Please let me know if anybody has seen this before or this a problem with the digitizer from the Fall VS Water damage Thanks
Hello, I am using a windows 8, touchscreen enabled, Asus ux31a ultrabook. When I connect it to my projector or TV and close the lid, the touch screen is actioned by the keyboard upon touch and the movies pause sometimes or some apps are opened as a result. I can use the device manager and disable the touchscreen but it's a little inconvenient. Is there a way, maybe a script or something that can disable the touchscreen when I close the lid and enable it again when I open it? Thanks
The touchscreen is a capacitive touch panel, the keyboard is not conductive and cannot trigger the screen, nor should it even be touching the screen.
Something to try, open the screen but orientate the entire laptop so the screen points downwards, does the same happen again? It may actually be a damaged screen, if the touch layers shift a little then they can register ghost input.
Thank for your reply. I have tried it and it still happens. It is clearly the keyboard interfering because if I open the virtual keyboard nd close the lid I can se on my TV the keys being pressed. Otherwise the touchscreen works flawlessly I have no problems with it or multi touch.
Any new ideas?
Hi everyone! New to the community! I was hoping someone could answer my question. I unfortunately cracked my screen on my g3. Is there anyway to disable the touch screen while still accepting mouse clicks? I have my mouse hooked up, but the damaged screen keeps throwing in random presses while i am trying to use it. I appreciate any feedback or information on this!
So the pen accidentally fell down and now it is malfunctioning. The pen gets detected by the tablet(small ring pointer can be seen) but scrolling or writing can't be carried out. I changed the tip(used both white and black) but the issue persists. Also i have to press hard on the button of the s pen for it to work.
Is there a fix or should i buy another pen?
