Hello Community,
My Uncle dropped his phone yesterday into a small puddle, Initially the screen would power on and work perfectly except the screen would not respond to any touches, after leaving it in rice over night and all day the screen is now responding to touch(I have even done tests drawing perfect lines and swype keyboard works perfect) But every couple of minutes the phone starts opening radom apps and the touchscreen starts freaking out(I enabled the Show touches option in the developer menu and you can see the touches flying all across the screen)
Please let me know if anybody has seen this before or this a problem with the digitizer from the Fall VS Water damage Thanks

Just want to know if people have experienced weird problems with their touch screen on their Gnexus, i've had this phone for less than 1 week, and the problem arised twice.
the screen just dont reach to your finger touch, normally you swipe left or right in the home screen, and the pages just moves to the next screen centered, but the screen just stops when ever you let go, and on home screen when you push and hold an icon or widget the bin pops up at top to discard the item, on my phone, just a slight touch and no need to touch and hold will do the same thing. it's just like the screen has gone malfunction randomly with the screen registering a touch. I also think this happed when it is connected to a non samsung charger, but not too sure if i had the charger connected.
to rectify the problem, you need to power down the phone and on.
not too sure if this is a bug, or problem with the display, it's very hard to discribe it, but it's not normal.
thanks
So... I replaced my perfectly working glass screen the other day, just to change the color
All went well it seemed.
But now, the touch stops responding completely at random intervals. Sometimes after a minute, sometimes after an hour.
All i have to do to get the touch back is lock and unlock.
I updated my rom, no go. I cleared cache and dalvik, no go.
Any ideas? :silly: thanks
I went to developer tools and enabled the option that lets me see the touches...
it seems when my phone stops doing the touches, its because there are like 8 different locations on the screen that are being "touched".
I messed something up obviously... but it seems to go away when the touches are reinitialized...
Is there an app out there that will automatically refresh the touches automatically? That would fix my issues...
I just now found out how to replicate the issue on command!
If i press down hard on the screen, it stops responding to my touch commands.
at least now i know how NOT to get stuck... just have to hold it gently
I think the reason was because i didn't put enough glue on the glass screen, thus its too close to the digitizer... and when i touch too hard the glass touches the digitizer and causes it to go all outta whack. mebbe...
i'ma put more glue on it and find out though.
thanks for all of your help so far though, you guys have been a great audience.
I did the exact same thing and have the same results. If I don't press too hard it works. Any solution would be nice
Hi, I recently obtained a Huawei Watch and everything was working swimmingly on it for a while....
Within the first couple of days the watch would be acting as if I was swiping on the screen, even though I wasn't touching it, happened soon after I turned gestures on so I turned gestures off. A real painful process as the watch would be performing random swipes that I hadn't done. Eventually had to hold the button on the watch to reboot it.
Turning gestures off seemed to solve the problem but just recently it has returned, it is now so bad that I can't even enter my swipe code as the watch thinks I'm touching somewhere else!!
Anyone seen this behaviour before or should I RMA the device?

Ghost touches and swipes reminds me of a time I cleaned my tablet's screen with a cleaner that was not designed for touch-sensitive screens. When I brought the tablet back from standby, I was greeted with touches and swipes all over the screen! Had to re-clean the screen with a cloth lightly dampened in warm water and a very small amount of regular soap then follow up with a cloth just dampened in warm water. Might want to give it a try as it's possible you've got a thin film of something on your watch's screen...
I was having the random shutdowns on my Moto360 Gen 1. I replaced the battery and the shutdowns are gone. Problem now, the bottom half of the screen is unresponsive to touch. Swiping from the Top, Left, and Right work fine. Anything from the bottom half doesn't work or respond to touch. What did I screw up? Any kind of touch sreen Calibration to fix or did I pinch something on one of the ribbon cables? Any help appreciated. Thank you
Have you managed to fix it? My watch is presenting the same problem
I recently got this phone from my ant. It is a used phone and I replaced the charge connector because it wasn't working.
Firstly I thought it was the Glass Screen Protector which I recently installed in the phone. However, when I reboot the phone it becomes normal again. It already happened two times. I was playing Clash Royale and I saw sometimes my cards were not selected after to touch them. I literally had to touch it hardly to work. The same happens in the home screen. It is not smooth to scroll or swip the screens.
Any ideas what could be the causes of this? An app? The Glass Screen Protector?
Thanks in advance.
