How to change incoming calls UI? - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I tried to change the default incoming calls UI in Theme Center to Wave as I'm not used to wiping up or down to answer/end call but when I exit out and launch the app again, it reverts back to the Default UI so I'm wondering how do I make the setting stick so it doesn't change?
Thanks

It's a bug.

OP3 echo on phone calls observation

Hi, I'm new here however I've read on a few rom threads about an echo on voice calls. Today I started experiencing the echo for the 1st time and I think I have and idea what's the cause.
I am running freedomos ce v1.10 but I've seen the issue as a known bug on other ROMs and it doesn't affect everyone.
I think it affects those of us who flash the pixel dialer, maybe other dialers as well but in my case it's the pixel dialer.
Why do I think so?
Today it started, i received a call and I noticed the call screen was the default phone app screen not the pixel screen. (I've disabled the stock app). but somehow its still activating when there's an incoming call.
Also after accepting the call I notice 2 phone icons in the status bar suggesting maybe that there's 2 phone calls active.
I've checked and the stock phone app is still disabled so there may be an OS level trigger still allowing it to accept incoming calls.

OK, maybe a mod can move it to the correct area. I didn't post in any specific rom thread since it occurs on various ROMs.

In which threads you have read about the echo issue? This issue is mainly present on the nougat roms and it's due to the audio hal, however workaround was found and now everything is fine(when you flash the fix ofc). I have never had this issue on MM roms and especially on stock(ye, freedom rom is stock based), so maybe the problem you have is really somewhere with the apps you use. And can you tell how did you find that you have the issue?

As I stated I noticed that incoming calls seemed to come in the stock phone app not the pixel dialer. But because the stock app is disabled think that may have been the issue.

Do you have root? If yes, just go to the system folder, find the app that you don't want to use and rename it(add .back at the end), so you can revert to it later if you want, then reboot

I'm not sure which is the stock phone app. Apart from "Google dialer" there's "OPincalui", "phonesky", "telecom" and "telephonyprovider"
I'm not sure which is the actual phone app.

I would eliminate Phonesky (Play Store), and TelephonyProvider from the list because those are not directly tied to the phone app.

Actually you should be able to see the app icon when you go to the folder, so try with some other file manager that support this function. I can bet that OPIncallUI is the dialer, but to be sure, try with other manager

Just the .apk, rename it to .apk.back and if you get problems just rename it back to .apk

I've noticed conference call bug in all most all custom ROMs.

They go on hold until the person you are calling is connected once you connect with that call you can unhold on hold call and you can have your conversation with both person.. That's how it works.

Receiving "Muted calls"

Hi, there is a problem in my Xiaomi mi mix 2:
Sometimes, when someone calls me and I answer, I just don't hear the other side (there is no mute button pressed or something)
so i hang up and re-call that person.. but sometimes I receive calls from companies that I can't recall and this problem drives me crazy..
Is there someone else that also encountered that issue? anybody got a solution?
Thanks for help

I don't use the default, I use ACR.. well then it's probably the MIUI Rom for MI MIX 2..
I wonder if it will dissapear if I will change the ROM
Edit: I found out that if i put the call on "hold" and then unhold i can hear the other side again

Ringtones Changing Randomly

I apologize if this has already been addressed. Im having a weird issue where my ringtone, alarm and notification sounds are randomly changing on there own and I have to manually change back. Of course I only notice it once I get a text or phone call and when i go into settings, the sounds will be changed to something like: 9523 or 461. Anyone else having this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I forgot to take a screenshot of the last instance.

Haven't experienced this at all. Are you on a custom ROM or in stock? Which monthly update are you on?

If you have do not disturb turned on, sound selector crashes (tries and fails to set volume to play file).

Not fixed for me with 10.0.8.0.
Easy workaround though, just turn off DnD, change the sound then turn DnD back on.
Set the phone to vibrate and you can change ringtone without making noises.
I tried to change local ringtone but the ringtone does not set

Do you have Do Not Disturb (DnD) on? It has never worked with Pie but you can work around it by turning off DnD when changing ringtones.
Set the phone to vibrate and you can still change ringtone without making noises.
Solved my problem. Many thanks!
