Dunno, but I tried entering my Sprint Serial number and it would not let me download it.
C'mon Dave, where are you?

Any why would it not work? The phones are capable of both GSM and CDMA.

What, close the thread you mean? Why we should have to post to another thread about supposedly official ROMs I don't know
According to HTC site
"*This is a generic software update. Any additional software or settings provided by your mobile operator or company will be lost. If you require this customization, please contact your supplier first before upgrading."

At the moment, the forums are seeing a large number of threads such as this - all this thread seems to be doing is providing the notification and link - if you keep these all in one place it makes searching easier.
Also, stuff about ROMs usually goes in the ROM section of the forum, rather than the general section.
The best place would probably to put the link in the wiki actually, now that I think about it.
I do understand your point about the other thread tho as that links to another site anyway, and is aimed at Tom's releases. But then again if you post the link there it provides an alternative to his, so maybe it is a good idea after all.
I only commented as I had just seen about three threads in the Rom forums that were like this one and closed by Dave.

[Q][SOLVED] difference between versions of this phone?

shameless bump, nobody knows that?
Sprint and verizon are american providers. The Samsung version is unlocked and international. The hardware is the same (as far as I van remember) but they have diffrent radios.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
Actually:
yakju/takju: Google supported
toro: Verizon "supported"
toroplus: Sprint "supported"
yakjuXX: Samsung "supported"
a manta sent this.
thanks for answer, so if it's GT-i9250, which roms will work?
*edit*

Please edit thread title (first post edit) to include the [SOLVED] tag after the [Q] tag?
IMO, it's the easiest way to know if the thread has been solved or still needs help, and to spare the usually low bandwith required (more bandwith required for threads with images, for example) to view the thread when on data.

As we can completely fix the camera in custom roms?

Hello, I would like to be cleared once the problems with the camera in custom roms, I love CM11 and SlimKat but is torture not to use whatsapp web, MSQRD, Snapchat, QR code reader, among others. So I wanted to ask if I can lead to put my grain of sand on this issue and try to fix it, I tried to change the file "camera.msm8974.so" but do not get good results, maybe if more people join to try to solve it we get results...
You probably want to talk to @ggow on his CM forum, Not here.

Changing a single (native) lib is sadly not enough.
Even with ggow's skill set it would take a ridiculous amount of hours of "engineering" and even then it may not be enough.
And it's not just any phone but the "hunchback of Amazon", so most people will be like: "Why should I invest time in this device, when I can frolic around with a Sony, HTC, LG, etc."

You, good sir, are an inspiration. I'm not sure how you keep your responses to painfully redundant questions so measured and light hearted.

I get EzzBMTH's enthusiasm / point of view but the reality is harsh and simple:
The developers at Lab126 were given the order to customize it and lock it down as good as possible.
The Fire Phone is / was also the "last" product in line, development wise. A bunch of different tablets already existed, so Amazon could learn from past "mistakes" / vulnerabilities.
And releasing information about HAL / Kernel code would be a tragedy in their eyes, since all the "secrets" would be out in the open and they would have to completely change their concept for future releases.

Divest OS - privacy Lineage fork with relockable bootloader. Anyone tried relocking?

Has anyone here tried Divest OS for xz2c?
No. What's so special about it? They say its a soft fork but just looks about the same.

Please read the website, it has extensive documentation on what is changed and how it improves security/privacy/longevity.
It in many cases may literally look like LineageOS, but most devices have hundreds of patches added to fix known security issues, in addition to all the general system hardening and changes.

I'm not arguing with you. If that is what you believe then OK.
DivestOS is *the* most secure operating system available for many of these end of life devices.
I think there is some value in that.

You know, I take it back. Right you are. I appreciate the comments on the issues too, they are a big help pointing me in the right direction especially because I don't plan on leaving Oreo ever, last decent Android version IMO and anything with scoped storage is irredeemable. I didn't know it went that far back in versions, it initally just looked like Android 12 builds from looking at the screenshots (which I hate especially UI wise which didn't help). Maybe I'll take a spin with DivestOS someday to get it ported to the xz1(c). I probably won't use because the customization features in RR are a must for me (mostly ticker notifications, just so handy and quick)

Has 19.1 been reported working? The site says likely working for 19.1 and reported working for 18.1. Unfortunately both say unknown if relockable.

For what device? xz2c? A user reported issues with upgrading from 18.1 to 19.1, but had no issues with a fresh install of 19.1.
I wouldn't try relocking this device unless you are perfectly happy to potentially receive a brick in return.
Can someone make youtube video on how to flash cheeseburger one plus 5 Divest os using linux?
Any luck with banking apps working at all with unlocked bootloader on DivestOS ? Thanks
