As u might have seen,coolgadget wants to leave us.I wish to have this something like a petition and ask him to stop.Let the number of us make him change his mind.All those who enjoyed the ROMs and other things from the site,please add a post as a sign.

I'm sorry that the devs are feeling upset by comments from a small minority of users, but guys they ARE a small minority. I for one really appreciate the work done on the ROMS and the support provided by some very talented people on these forums.

I agree this forum is great and it is because of some nice guys that work hard and cook some great ROMS.

EBay is a Market Place, xda-developers is a developers forum. If you are selling your device, please put a link in your signature to the ebay (or whatever site) page you are selling your device on.

That thread is bad and someone is going to get robbed and blame it on the world, starting within that thread

Mate anybody can get robbed at any place if the seller/robber for that matter is having this intention. If you think Ebay is secure I would suggest you to look at the facts.
As Dave has mentioned that this is a developers forum & not any market place.
That thread is just an humble beginning to consolidate the single issue of buying & selling devices.
It was not meant to make anything like market place.
Let me share one more thing with you. I being a volunteer in many of Climate change initiatives felt like sharing our devices which could help us mitigate the carbon emmission. You know how much it takes to make a single device. So you can understand if we could save some carbon emissions by sharing our devices.
Hope you would appreciate it.
Making a thread in itself emits carbon[atleast more than making a post & then avoid searching for something here & there].

hey hey hey. calm down guys. i know ebay dealextreme made-in-china etc. is market place. But how can i ask them what i need ? By the way in xda-developers has lots of professional users and technicans. So that they know what i need better than an ebay seller. this was just an idea for this situation.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I could not find the information I was looking for.
I am a senior member and I am limited to 8 thanks per day, this had previously been more than enough for me. However I started a thread that has been published all over the web and is featured on xdaTV it has had 76,000 views and 1000 post in only 2 weeks. Here is the thread...

Since starting the thread I keep running out of thanks, many people have made a great contribution to the thread and deserve a thanks from me.
Is there anyway I can get more thanks? If I can get my user rank upgraded would this give me more daily thanks.

i dont know if an upgrade (maybe to recognized cantributor) will give you more thanks, but if you are using tapatalk or/and tapatalk based apps like xda premium you dont have any limit....

I'm using both lol, seriously, I got xda premium and liked it so much I then bought tapatalk.
The apps say I have thanked the user, but they are not thanked. Probably just a little bug with tapatalk.
If being a recognized contributor would give me more thanks I'd appreciate that, how do you apply or do they contact you?

Being an RC doesn't give you any more thanks for now but we are requesting an increase in the daily thanks limit. Check here for more info on the RC program.

It would be nice to be recognised for the contributions I have made to this forum, but not important for me. I would have expected being recognised would increase your thanks privilege. I feel 8 per day is enough for most users but no not for RC's or myself

We may get a few more at some point, but the reason it is limited is to prevent it from becoming too devalued. What if everyone had dozens or hundreds or thousands of thanks? Besides, we used to only have 5 a day just a few months ago.

I understand that, but members who rarely post get the same as RUs who often write 10x as many posts. Surely RUs deserve more at least double?

We have requested that but are awaiting the mods and admins decision. If not, then no big deal. I just won't thank snarky or funny posts as much which do make me laugh, but don't add real value to the site.

Bumping to ask if there is any action on increasing the amount of thanks.

Maybe I'm a serial thanker, yet it's slightly frustrating constantly running out on some of these dev\help\guide threads.
Any consideration for an increase from the top would be a very good.

What do you think are the chances of getting WIFI calling to work (has been available for AOSP for several months, CM13 supposedly has it baked in)?
For us T-Mobile users with older phones (missing some of the newer radio bands, for better/speedier coverage), WIFI calling is still very important.
