Pocket Secure 4.0

Here is the link to pocket secure 4.0. This is a great security that has great developer support. Works great with black 3 and is also skinable. Check it out. BTW its not freeware but for about $15 USD you cant beat it.

Now, why does this sound to shameless advertising?
Can this thread be locked. After all, the OP got his point across.
No point going forth with this. Personally I hate spam posts, I would go as far to suggest to outright delete it if possible.

Sorry if it does sound like spam, just thought I'd share it. I spent a good amount of time serching for a program that does just what it does, so I thought I'd post it in a forum that I frequent. Considering we dont have the best search engine on this forum I gave it a simple title just incase someone in the future is looking for the same. Maybe that person wont waste your time with a useless post like I have. Cheers!

Well, I can say for sure that kree's post is NOT Spam! He is one of the newest users of Pocket Secure, and was just sharing his approval here. He has done this by his own free will, and was not asked to!
Users sharing their good experiences with other users are what these forums are all about. Is it not?

The original Shadow.exe file available on the official site has been replaced by a Shadow.rar file (new version) so I have removed the Shadow.exe from my mirror too.
In other terms ... LATEST VERSION COME AND GET IT WHILE IT LASTS !!!

He deserves NO respect.
Well OK... as a chef hes a genius, as a person, with his attitude, he deserves NOTHING.
I'm sure MS would prefer us not to talk about their stuff, I'm sure the operators would prefer us not to talk about their stuff.
What right does he have to ask this?

Hey all, does anyone know if this is the fixed version resolving the dll conflict and startup issues? I would go to the 4winmobile black forum but it's down at the moment... been down for an hour or so... I think they're upgrading their forum software...

A little respect and a THANK YOU to the creator of what you are now reading and wanting to download and use wouldn't hurt you know. I'm not in anyway affiliated with JJ, but I do respect his wishes since we are the ones sitting around waiting for him to finish this colossal task of cooking a ROM for us... at least we can say thanks and not attack him on top..... my 0.02...

I know http://wmblack.info/ may have the latest release but the http://wmblack.info/ website doesn't tell us if the release has the dll conflict and soft reset issues resolved (hang during shadow splash). just wondering if this release is OK. I'm sure there are plenty of users waiting for this release to stabilize before going through the install process and then discover my hermes just hangs at some splash screen and have to go through the cycle of doing soft and hard resets....

Downloaded from Wmblack.info about an hour ago.
Flashed the Rom and no problems.
Nice.
But have removed the HTC homeplugin. Preferred my own combination, but a nice try.
Re the ROM discussion on XDA - whilst I am a fan of JJ I do not see how trying to restrict discussion on here is practical or the logic in it. As long as everyone is aware that if you want to feedback to JJ and recieve support from JJ then you need to do it on the official website. People can chat about the ROM wherever they like, they may just be misinformed or not receive any help, but that is their choice.
I do not think that trying to block additional mirrors will be practical although as I have not had any problems with the main downoad page, so not sure why mirrors are needed.

Did JJ break a promise to you? Did he get your sister pregnant? Did he welch on a major business deal with you?

Sorry To Everybody Who Answered Below, But Due To Problems With Hard Drive, I Lost All Roms And Cabs On My Computer. So If A Admin Or Mod Reading This Post, Please Delete It

that would be awesome. when I first came to the forum, I had a real hard time sorting through all the releases.
But the only problem is, you must be updating that thread frequently as there is a new release every few days.
Also it would be even more awesome if you could add a release date next to each link so that people know what is new and what is old and what is being updated.

but i think there would have to be a way of stopping people posting any questions about the ROM or software otherwise the thread will turn into a messy ROM&CAB bank/Support thread!
Also if you can only post 5 attachments on each post, so unless you are going to upload CABs to Rapidshare (or whatever the you use) and then provide weblinks.
Also i would consider not using Rapidshare because once you download a ROM from it you get banned from download for 30-120 mins depending on the network traffic at the time, i think you should consider using SENDSPACE, MEGAUPLOAD, THERE IS LOADS MORE UNLIMITED ONES HERE
Last point, think the thread should only have your Posts on it, cantact a MOD with the idea and ask them if it is possable

He is hawking Kavana ROM as his own, he even uses kavana's pictures with his email address/profile.

God that is shady but where anyone can make a couple of squid they will and as gixxum quoted it's not an official release and i'm damn sure that Kavana has not got copyright of the rom in question, lets just hope that the seller has a freak accident of nature?

It's a disgrace that someone can make money for something that is readily available "Free" and not credit & royalty Kavana.

Wow, I can't believe people are doing this. But there is nothing we can do about it I figured because the Rom is not copyrighted material; therefore, anyone can sell it unless Kavana copy rights, which I believe can not be done since its a "cooked" rom rather then an official rom.

He gets enough and maybe he'll take it down. Also, I told him I was going to contact every bidder to let them know where to get it for free.

Oh sounds good, I will do the same thing as well... I am going to let everyone know that they could download it from our website... It seems as if people are getting ripped off by buying a free program... Kavana and Ricky put together this for us for free therefore it should be this way... No one should try to sell it... If anyone has the right to sell the program it would be Ricky and Kavana.

I suggest in your future ROM put comments in the home.xml files' header.
It's a DISGRACE for people to make money out of somebody else's sweat. I know how difficult and time consuming it is to make ROMs.

selling someone elses work is just wrong...

If I were to say openly then it would give someone else the opportunity to make the same app and the Dev (if there is one) who would agree to make it wcould lose out even if only on the credit for making it.

Im guessing in order to get help you can't automatically presume that most developers are d*cks who steal ideas from other people.

If you want a developer you need to:
1. Make available information about what you want developed.
2. Pay someone (a reasonable sum), or have a genuinely interesting project. The later being substantially less likely than the former.

Yeah...even if I pm'd you for information, and then decided I can't proceed on developing it... isn't it the same? I would have heard your idea anyway, so you're better off saying it directly. ;-)
Or... you could apply for a patent on it if you fear there are lots of thieves here lmao

@OP, XDA is all about sharing and working together to achieve common goals. As a result, developers here tend to work best when others can get involved. This kind of post pops up now and then, but these ideas usually end up unfulfilled due to the lack of information available.
And remember this is people's hobby, not necessarily their job, so most people aren't about to commit to making an app when they have no idea what it is. If it's not interesting to them, they likely won't want to do it.

How would you know if the developer that you share the idea will not simply use it for his own profit?
This is xda-developers (a developer community) and I never heard about a case of stolen ideas here.
If you'd like to find some help implementing an idea, you should at least describe the developer profile, technologies,...
i.e. I'm looking for a developer to build a simple 2D game that connects to a website to load pictures using http protocol.... No previous experience required, All source code should be sent to me and I'll share the profits.... please PM me for details.
You can try rent-a-coder and, for a fee you have your idea implemented.

I make a post offering to give someone my idea for an app that if they can make they can do what they like with and I get flamed for it. I am not a Dev, I am very new to Android OS. I see a need and think someone may find it easy to meet that need so try to make it known so an individual may even if the want profit from it. And for this I get called arrogant and told I am not welcome.
And as for the trolling I will not comment.

good luck, you won't find any! you come here asking for someone willing to do some stuff for you you won't tell them about before they agree to do it? lol! why should ANYONE agree to that. i, for one, am not interested on this conditions. also, this here (xda & android) is about community development, open source and therefore open ideas where everyone can profit.
if you wan't to sell the app then hire some dev for 20$/h but then you are indeed @ the wrong place here. otherwise just tell everyone about your idea and IF it's interesting, some people might pick it up...

Go and ask an iPhone dev if you wanna behave like that...not because youd fit in being a wanker but because they're much more commercially minded. It's funny in your original post you kinda imply most people working in this section and putting out material are not 'proper devs'. This is xda and this is open...people suggest apps all the time and people make it for free and maybe include ads or small charge to cover there costs, see lag fix, noled and galaxy s sim unlocker on market. You can be like the idea makers from there and just go 'that covers my needs and it's cool' or you can merrily skip along to an iPhone dev who is all profit.

So let's make it clear: you are offering the dev the idea and if he realizes it, all profits would go to him? He will publish it and everything? So why don't tell it straight away, if it's interesting someone will do it. Even if 2 or 3 people do it, there will be 2 or 3 apps for the same purpose. So what? How many im clients or gps navigation software are on the market, and still coming out? Do you think only one of them is getting money and the others don't? Users also like to have choice...
However you should at least tell what kind of skills are required? 2/3d gaming? Databases? Web connection? Kernel hacking? I think even if you aren't a developer yourself it shouldn't be difficult answering these questions... at least you are selecting potential candidates... that would be the minimum requisite for posting such requests, how can I know if I could do it if I don't even know what skills are required? Not all developers have the same background you know...

You are not going to dev it by the sounds of it, so it is really not up to you to keep such a project closed, isn't that exactly what you are asking to happen anyway? ( have another dev make it for you. )
You are coming on a forum, asking if any dev is willing to work on a secret project... ?
If there is money involved, and thus a reason for secrecy, do mention it.
